The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and I really appreciated the variety of pillows available. Check-in was quick and easy, and the location was peaceful and quiet, making for a relaxing stay.
The only things keeping this from being a 5-star experience were that there is no elevator—which I wasn’t aware of until we arrived—the entrance is a bit difficult to find, and the nightly rate is comparable to several higher-end hotels in the area that offer more amenities.
Overall, I would recommend staying here, especially if you’re aware of these considerations before booking.

What a great location for exploring Salida, right on the river, just off F street. An unusual location on the second story of an historic building (only for those able and willing to climb the stairs to the units.) The rooms are nicely decorated, the beds are comfortable, the balcony looking over the river is a great place to enjoy the views. Good AC, and quiet. We feel so lucky we found this mini hotel which is run like an Airbnb. Easy to contact the manager who is very helpful.

The Manhattan Hotel in Salida is a great place to stay. The rooms overlooking the Arkansas river provide tons of entertainment. The location can't be beat right down on F Street near the park and shops.

The property is as vey nice, clean, easy to engage the check in process. The balcony overlooking the river, *chef’s kiss*! The location was perfect for, and selected for, being able to walk around the main part of downtown. Easy access to shopping and dining. The ONLY real detractor, for us mind you, was that very proximity. The nightlife was vibrant and, well, loud. If you’re into that sort of scene this would be perfect for you. If you go to bed at 9p like us, something to consider. All in all a great place to stay in a great little mountain town.

We loved the boutique hotel atmosphere with balcony overlooking the Arkansas River. The room was very modern, with all the conveniences working perfectly. There is no \"front desk,\" which worked out OK. There are lots of great restaurants nearby. Reaching the room did involve walking up 2 flights of steep stairs, which could be a deterrent for some.

Awesome place with a balcony overlooking the Arkansas River in the heart of Salida. Easy to find and prompt communication from the staff. It is a \"non staffed\" hotel but they were responsive and provided all the details we needed to check in and details on the property. You cant find a better location in Salida, its right on the river and in the middle of downtown. Great restaurants, the town square, shopping, etc all within easy walking distance. Cant wait to get back!

Fabulous location on the river. Close to bars and restaurants. Very fun decor… well done! It is close to the music scene but we were never bothered by the noise. One flight up, no elevator. Easy checkin. Recommend as the best place to stay in Salina if you are looking for a fun place to stay.

Great location and room. The beds are a little soft for me but fine. Located right over and next to a bar/restaurant but had great insulation so noise was never an issue. Beware - no elevator. I had just had hip surgery but I was able to make it up and down the stairs but I had my sons help with luggage. It would be difficult to get luggage up and down those stairs if you weren’t strong.

Beautiful view! Peaceful evening in Salida! Our room was easy to access and we met Rusty (Maintenance Manager) who brought us a fan 🤗 just in case. The beds are super comfortable and we had coffee in the morning! Great spot! We would definitely recommend!

We have stayed at the Manhattan for several years for Spring Break and other celebratory events, loving Salida and the tradition. This year, we stayed in room 5. Unfortunately the room patio bumps up against the patio for the pizza restaurant providing no privacy. The condition of the rooms have significantly declined in the past year with paint chips and damaged walls throughout. We attempted to enjoy the fresh air with the patio opened, there was a horrible smell of sewer gas and the worst part was what appeared to be dried blood spots on the white comforter. This is definitely not the boutique hotel experience we were hoping for and it is absolutely not the hotel it was when it initially opened.

Great location right on the river and close to everything. Cute and clean. Only complaint was the heat. We set the thermostat at 64 and it was easily 80 in there. Made sleeping difficult, slept with patio door open. I let them know and they sent someone to fix it right away, but it didn’t get fixed. I’ll probably still stay again because the location can’t be beat.

What a nice gem of a hotel in downtown Salida. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and close to everything. We loved our little deck for morning coffee, or afternoon libations. Loved thoughtful amenities, Keurig, microwave, refrigerator, mini Bluetooth speaker, and bath products. Bed was so comfortable! Dined at both the Boathouse and Pizza Rio next door….excellent food! Will stay here again next time I’m in Salida!

The initial entry is a tall stairway: plan for light luggage you can lift yourself! A charming Juliet balcony overlooks the wide & flowing Arkansas River. The interior space is light filled, with simple decor and 2 soft beds. It seemed as if everything charming, lovely, & nourishing in Salida was within walking distance from the Hotel.
