The reception staff and cleaning staff were really pleasant and helpful, and the unit was very clean. The location was excellent, being close to the town and also to the venue we were visiting. The pool was lovely - nice and clean with a pleasant area around it for relaxing.

The room was clean but could have done with a fresh coat of paint/ the staff we’re excellent they helped with our washing ( that was free to use ) and put it in our room so that we could get on with our day

The room was small and quite dated. The pool area really didn't look very nice at all and we didn't use it. Likewise the garden area. Things have definitely been neglected since the photos were taken. The laundry facilities were locked at all times and we got the impression that the owner didn't really want the guests using it at all even though it's advertised as an amenity.

Stayed only one night and just needed a bed to sleep in, so fulfilled that need. Otherwise I would not choose to stay longer as for the price, it was old and dated, taps had cold and hot separate which wastes water, and the walls are thin which allowed for hearing the music and voices from the next room. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room was clean.

The pool area was very unattractive, the Bar B Que area was overrun with weeds . That entire areas was run down. Which is too bad as you can see at one time the place was quite elegant. Other wise, it was OK , I would stay again. Generally a bit high cost wise for what you got.

Customer services was excellent. I enjoyed my 2 nights stay, the room was cozy and comfortable. Location made it easier to walk to resturants, the supermarket, and the town center. I would highly recommend 'The Ambel Inn\" if you just want a quiet country town environment.

It met our needs, and very well cleaned and serviced, but the bathroom/toilet was cramped and awkward and the hot water seemed to have failed in the handbasin. The 'bedside' lights over our bed were fixed and bright spotlights out of easy reach, making it difficult for me to go to bed and maybe sleep while leaving a light on for my partner to enter later. Proper bedside lights with easily accessible on/off (or preferably dimmable) switches would have been more convenient.
