There were junkies staying at the property. Once night hit outside of the rooms smelt like weed and the beds where rock hard. There also wasn’t a smoke alarm in the room. Would have rathered sleeping on the road than in the bed.

The premise was dangerous. I’ve stayed there in two other occasions, but this time was awful. Police and ambulances were called. The police came to my door twice. I will never stay there again

Car park didn't match room nos. So was rather awkward. Air conditioning exceptionally noisy outside and needs major attention. Manager had no local knowledge and not interested in giving us info about the town

Mould in shower and cracked vanity basin. No breakfast nor room service as stated on ad.
Young lad on reception had very limited customer skills- another customer complained of cockroaches in their room. Very little response nor an investigation of the problem , finally offered a nearly empty can of insecticide as no other room available.
Not a good feeling, cannot understand the rave reviews.

They double booked our reservation, they did however arrange accommodation to another location. I rang to confirm the whereabouts I was staying. They still hadn’t arrange, they then acted and I got confirmation. Major chase up!

Non English speaking reception staff made check in near impossible, had to go back 3 times just to find someone who could communicate with me. Advertised online as having continental breakfast available but they don’t. Staff started cleaning rooms beside ours at 5am, and the cleaning trolley woke us up. The air con vibrates so loudly on the wall that you can’t sleep with it on. The pool sign says ‘poo rules’. Very disappointed and couldn’t wait to get out of there. Dead bugs on the storage shelves also, and no hand towels. Freezer section of fridge iced over so couldn’t use it to keep ice bricks frozen for a sports carnival we were attending. Also you can hear the people in the next room when they’re using the toilet. Not a positive experience in any way

A fairly good place to stay. A few minor things though. A LARGE step between the bathroom and Shower floor and a minor gap between the bathroom floor and the main room floor. Very little space in the bathroom to put necessities (and the shelf was tilted towards the floor). The bed is VERY high. Also no longer do room service (although there are multiple food places nearby). The 2 way switch for the bathroom over the bed was very handy.

Shower didn't work properly I had to try and open the hole in the shower head absolutely full of build up and people wanting to use the back gate at 347 am right next to my roomand other guests playing loud music most of the night loud and drunk.

We booked a room for 5 people with 4 beds and our room was given away to another guest. The management were very good and put a roll away bed in our room free of charge and reduced our room rate to and normal cost. Which was very good of them to do to accommodate our family.

Overpriced. Cockroaches in the room. Facilities in the room limited and didn’t cater for number of people/beds. Pool unusable due to maintenance. Door way between motel room and manager residence unsecured from our side and evident that they were using amenities prior to our arrival as we had to wait while they went in and cleaned bathroom. Felt insecure during stay due to the two way door. Very disappointing stay.

I rate my stay as 5 stars based on value for money. For $95 the emerald highlands is spacious in both room and bathroom, extremely clean, and the staff are friendly. Sure the rooms are not the most up to date and modern but let’s be honest, a slick colour scheme doesn’t really add anything to the stay.
I’ve stayed in several other motels as part of my trip, motels that I’ve paid around $130-$140 and I’ve been constantly disappointed as every time I open the door to a new room I feel ripped off because the highlands was better at a fraction of the cost.

Me and my partner booked this motel for 4-5 nights, they let us check in early, the service was outstanding amazing, I will be definitely recommending this place again, it's great , doesn't have a full kitchen but it's perfect for what we needed, rooms were very clean and room service was amazing they asked us every day if we wanted clean sheets and towels etc . I'm very happy with this service and presentation

Really dated property. Air con was so loud and rattling so we had to turn it off. Tea bags were not wrapped which I felt was a bit unhygienic. No guest info about local area. Microwave had to be moved to use as no plug where it was. We felt this motel was a bit over priced.
