The staff was friendly and helpful. Especially the breakfast. It was hot and there was plenty of it. I love when bacon is offered. Don't see that every day but it was a nice treat. The young man working the buffet was very helpful and pleasant. He catered to an older gentleman who needed some assistance. Went out of his way to be helpful to him. Only issue was some wet carpet around the HVAC and refrigerator. Other than that, it was a great stay. Can't beat having a ground floor room to walk right out to the fishing pier and bulkhead. The view and the full moon rising were awesome.

This was our second stay at The Lighthouse Inn. It is in our yearly getaway now. I love how kind the staff is. Knowing that we saw some of the same people from when we were there before, simply because they to so love it, tells how wonderful The Lighthouse Inn is. Being able to speak to some of the staff like Miss Olga, was priceless. She is a true servant, and smiles all the time. Was always helping someone in the dining room.

This is my second time here. Back to back weekends. Y'all, if you want to go to a place that feels more like going home where everyone at the end of your stay is like family to you, come here! Very safe and quiet. Great area. Lots of places to eat, although the food in the dining room is great, and the bar is great, too. Plenty of coffee and juice and a great hot breakfast. Lots of cereals and yogurts. By the end of this second stay, I knew almost all of the guests, their kids were calling me \"Miss Leigh,\" and giving me hugs, and the adults, esp. the fellow females, were like sisters. If you want to be by yourself, you can do that, too. I am an extrovert, and I like meeting people, swapping stories, and the like. This is a gem in south Texas, for sure!

Overall the rooms were a little outdated but would stay there again. They had coffee/tea all day which was nice and cookies in the afternoon for the children. Everyone was very friendly and great location with its own fishing pier. Lots of good restaurants near by too! My children loved the pool as well.

OMG! This is my new Nirvana. I love this hotel so much that I am going back again THIS weekend! Here are the things that really stand out. Plenty of parking (and handicapped spaces, too! I got one of those as well....). Bartender is so friendly. Great cocktails. If you like a good club sandwich, yeah, this is your place. I mean, so many people mess it up. Very family friendly. Very quiet. The hot tub is so relaxing. And you can see dolphins sometimes from the dining area which is like right on the bay! I love me some dolphins, people. Lots of good restaurant recommendations from staff. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Comfortable bed. I mean, like THIS is how you run hospitality, people. Just go. Thank me later for the recommendation. Safe and happy travels! :-)

I liked everything about the hotel except for the low toilets. Being 73 y.o. and female made getting up and down very difficult. Plus they were tiny around. Little room to get my hand in to wipe. Oh well. Everything else was really nice. The free breakfast was great...they had just about everything you could want. We had dinner there one night. I had a delicious and huge club sandwich and fries. I think the waiter/bartender could have been more accomodating and we had a long wait for our food. He didn't seem to want to wait on us. My friend had chicken strips and fries and loved hers too. Bayside view from second floor was awesome with 2 rocking chairs on the balcony. We had a wonderful time!! I would definitely go there again if I could get a handicapped room. But for everyone else I highly recommend the Lighthouse Hotel!!

We highly enjoyed our stay. We had a 3rd floor balcony room overlooking the bay. The gym was struggling a little, but everything else was awesome. The pool is very inviting, they have a well kept breakfast area and there is a small bar area on site. There is no reason to leave the hotel. We will be back!

Loudest hotel room I've ever experienced. From the neighbors' doors slamming, to the elephants walking around above and flushing their toilet, the A/C that sounded like we were on a boat, housekeeping slamming drawers and the guy in the connecting room hacking up a lung, it wasn't the quietest stay. We checked out a day early. Otherwise, breakfast was a standard hotel breakfast. Didn't change from day to day though. Getting a room with the bay view is totally worth it. A few restaurants are within walking distance.

Excellent breakfast buffet! Fresh fruit and sugar free syrup for the waffles. Attentive staff very friendly people that stay there. Had the bay view room with excellent views. Only bad thing was that we were only there for the weekend…Too short a stay. 😊

Check-in was quick with friendly staff. Room was nice sized, clean, and the bed was comfortable. Really enjoyed the views of the bay, and walking out on the pier. Nice bar/restaurant area which was quite busy during Happy Hour. We will be back!

Amazing location!! Excellent service. Loved getting up in the morning and drink my coffee and watch the dolphins. Restaurants on the same street. Will go back.

Enjoyed our one night stay. Beautiful property right on the water. Great free breakfast. Pretty pool with plenty of loungers. Enjoyed being able to walk across the road for delicious seafood at the Boiling Pot. Would highly recommend and wish we could have stayed longer.

Great place to stay. The room was spotless and staff was helpful and friendly. Our porch with rocking chairs was on the pool/garden side but was a nice addition to the room. The breakfast was very good and seating for that was in the restaurant area with lots of windows looking out over the bay. Also, we liked walking along the well manicured grounds and 24 hour dock. Hope to return.

The hotel was amazing! We a few little things like the mini fridge didn’t work, it leaked through the night, and the bathroom sink overflowed quick. The biggest issue I had was the hot tub PH level was too high. Caused me to get a terrible rash all over my body. We were all itchy and here I am two days later still with inflamed rash all over me.
It really was beautiful and we will go back but I will not go in the hot tub.

The Lighthouse Inn was a joy. The property is directly on the Bay and is well appointed and accommodating in every way. We stayed in a bayside room and enjoyed sitting on our balcony. The rooms are quiet and well furnished. Breakfast buffet offerings may have been minimal, but they were fresh, hot, and well replenished. All employees were super friendly and helpful. The only negative comment is the tub in the bath/shower was too high for short legs and those with mobility challenges. We highly recommend staying at the Inn.

Breakfast selections were standard (scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, potatoes, waffles, cereal, yoghurt, juices) but they were fresh and replenished frequently. Hot foods were hot, cold foods were cold. It was included in the room rate and a great way to start off the day.
