Very sad! $300.00+ per night was worse than I can explain! AWFUL!
We were to have a king bed reserved, it was a queen and a very nasty place! The door frame was broken so the security lock would not latch.
We stood in the hot sun trying many key cards because the keys would not work. After about the 5th try by maintenance, we got in to discover the broken door frame, wrong bed size, unclean and unsafe place! At this point we just wanted away. We were scared for our safety.
We left, got a different place to stay after alerting the manager at OYO we were leaving because of the security latch not working because of the broken door frame. Since it was his last room he said fine and that I needed to take the refund subject up with Expedia about my money.
Expedia, please refund my $600.00+ money!

The room was clean and had a larger dorm frig , and had a newer a/c system that worked very well, and the bed was comfortable. But the wifi was out and I had to unplug the TV because none of the remotes for it would turn it off.

The gulls were enjoying the pool.

This place was awful. The front desk is never staffed, instead they have a phone number on the front door to call if you need help. I saw multiple people trying to check in by calling the number and then just leaving. The room was very moldy and musty smelling and there was a large gap at the bottom which let multiple pests in during our stay. Where the fire alarm is supposed to be there is just a base with duct tape over it, which with my 10 years of experience working and managing hotels, I'm more than certain it is illegal to put someone in a room without a working fire alarm. There was hair all over the bathroom and stains all over the sheets. I never used the coffee maker or microwave because they were both gross. The coffee maker still had grounds in the basket and a BUNCH of coffee build up inside. The hotplate on the coffee maker was so rusted and dirty it made my finger brown when i touched it. We booked for 3 nights, but only stayed 2. When I called the number on the front office door, since no one was in the front office, the manager stated that if I would have called earlier she would have refinded me. Then when I told her I was just going to take the loss, she became a little condescending and stated \"Im sorry you didnt like the room\".... like I was the problem. Awful property, awful stay, and gross rooms. Ive been the GM of a larger property and understand sometimes things are out of your control....but this place was too much.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly disappointed with the experience. Despite being advertised as having a check-in time of 3 PM, upon arrival, I found the office locked and unattended. A sign on the door instructed guests to call a number for assistance. After finally reaching someone, I was informed that check-in wasn't actually until 4 PM, contrary to what was advertised.

Once I gained access to my room, the conditions were far from acceptable. The ceilings were dirty, and the walls were in desperate need of repainting. To make matters worse, I encountered roaches in the restroom, and there were mysterious stains throughout the room. Dust covered many surfaces, adding to the overall feeling of neglect.

While the view from the hotel is undeniably beautiful and the surrounding businesses are satisfactory, these positives do not compensate for the hotel's poor maintenance and cleanliness. Overall, my stay was unsatisfactory, and I would not recommend this hotel to others.

The rooms I paid for were supposed to be 2 king size bed delux rooms with full kitchenette. 1 room had 2 king size beds and a loveseat but mini fridge and microwave. I wasn’t upset about that but the air conditioning was awful. However, our second room originally had 2 full size beds and was filthy. They moved us to a room with 2 queen size beds a full size refrigerator and microwave still not a kitchenette as was in photos. It was filthy. We even found items of clothing that did not belong to us. Grass and weeds was awful. The fence around the pool was rusted rotten iron posts. The pool furniture was falling apart. This place has potential but needs a lot of TLC. Don’t even think you can do laundry either. 1 washer and dryer in a nasty room with an old lamp for a light. Many safety and fire hazards. I will say the young lady who checked us in was very nice and tried her best to get us accommodations. The manager came in the next morning and we were able to check out and she refunded most of our money so we could find another hotel. She was very understanding and helpful. Nice location though.

Upon checking in at the front desk, Linda, who works there told me she would upgrade me to a room that actually has hot running water. When I came to the room the bed was filthy, the pull out couch was dirty and had food crumbs all over it, the night stand lamp was old and dirty, and the shower handle was broken and just hanging off. I ended up leaving the hotel after 5 minutes and driving straight to the airport to sleep in my rental car. Linda at the front desk said that she would confirm everything that I just wrote in order for me to receive my full refund for this room. I also have pictures that I can send over. Disgusting, do not book - BLACK MOLD

From the pictures I thought this would be a nice stay which is exactly why I booked. Close to the water and had two queen beds. We checked in late, at 11pm. I paid for a two night stay with two adults and two children. Upon entering the room it reeked of mildew. I scoped around and I’m going to let these photos I post speak for themselves. This place needs to be shut down by a health inspector because there is no way that staying here could be legal. MOLD all in the restroom and a leaking toilet, hair from the previous occupants. Shower drain cover with no screws on it. Bugs galore. Dust and dirt everywhere.
This place is just to say the least, DISGUSTING. We did not even stay one night, we packed up and left and booked at La Quinta just down the road, and that place was amazing, book at La Quinta instead. Don’t waste your money here. Especially with kids or elderly.

The front desk staff was friendly and the view was pretty . Now as far as the room well when we walked into it one of the beds was so close to the door that I had to push the bed over just so it won’t brush against it. Later that night when we got back to room I went to the shower and seen hairs in the bathtub still. Also it said non smoking but the covers on both beds had cigarette burns and they really didn’t look clean. Then beds were too firm for me so I woke up in so much pain.

The room needs some simple and cheap repairs like covering the holes in the walls. Little things like cleaning all the dead flies off the window seal would be great. Not fun to look at from your bed right by the window. There were roaches and spiders. Shower head kept falling off.

Bed and pillows were fairly comfortable. AC worked well. Had to request batteries for one of the remotes; they were 3 remotes in the room. Two for TV and one for AC unit. No explanation of how to use any of them. Smallest shower and toilet area ever. Definitely out of code. Three different kinds of light bulbs in the bathroom fixture. Encountered two small roaches in the bathroom. Found an old comb lodged under the baseboard in the bathroom. Cheapest toilet paper stocked. No curtains in the room; just blinds. No bed cover; just sheets and a blanket. The water in the bathroom sink and in the shower had a sweet spot where you had to position the knobs in order to turn them off; turning both frontwards and backwards had the water running. Definitely a hotel for fisherman. Several people were up at 6am talking loudly right outside our room and running their Diesel engines for a time before they took off. Some loud music and children screaming from the pool well after 10pm. No place to drop your keys if you left before the office opened. Left them stuffed in the door jamb like everyone else. They really need a Dropbox for this. Parking lot arrangement is wonky.

This os worst than a roach motel. Don't waste your money! On top of the place being disgusting, I went out to my car and couldn't get back in, the door was stuck. My husband was inside and had to climb out through the window. The manager got the maintenance guy ( who was super creepy himself) and he had to climb in through the window to get in and hammer the door lock to get it to budge. This was the worst hotel i have ever stayed at, never again. I really hope people read the reviews before they book. For the price, its great. The property manager, Jenny, is great and works her tail off! She'll go above and beyond to make your stay a good experience. The pool was clean and we enjoyed using it several times. It was surprisingly quiet in the rooms considering its on a major highway thru town. Cool, clean, comfortable and hot water in the shower. What more would you expect. Our room had a kitchenette with a mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, stove and sink. We were there for 5 nights and would go back.

Pubic hair on bathroom walls. No wifi. No remote to operate cable. Door sticks and impossible to open. Bed was terrible. Door had gap at bottom and let in winter air. Drawers were broken. We left after the first night and were not offered a refund for the second and staff didnt care about our complaints.

Mold everywhere, Do NOT stay here.

Melinda in the office was great. She was the only good thing about this place.
The room had black mold everywhere... the shower ceiling, around all the electrical outlets, light switches, growing in the artwork... soooo much mold.
Our queen size bed was actually a full and the bed frame wasn't the right size. We spent the night hoping it wasn't going to collapse.
The sink wasn't even attached to the wall. Huge gap under the door to let in all kinds of bugs and god knows what.
It was horrible. We will NEVER stay here again.

Please don’t go

They canceled my room on the day I arrived about 2 hours before check in I called and to see what was going on And I was told the whole hotel was undergoing maintenance. But my mom and my brother still had there reservations. My bothers room had roaches and mold on the ceilings and smells like mold

This hotel is on a perfect location. It's so close to the beach, you can see the water from your window. There are several bars and restaurants withing walking distance, maybe 10 min walk or less.
The only issue was the Wi-Fi. It was windy during our stay and the Wi-Fi was spotty, but then again, we didn't visit Rockport to stay indoors and use the wifi.
I have stayed here on more than one occasion and I have always had a pleasant experience.

Amazing!!!

Talk about amazing employees!!! The girl from the morning the day of my check in went above and beyond !! Then the day of check out today 8/7/22 we had an issue with locking our keys in our vehicle Delfina and the other house keeper went above and beyond to help us and I couldn’t be more thankful! Not to many good people anymore and we got lucky to have encountered them!!!

Awful stay

Disgusting. Blood stains on sheets, dirty floors and shower. Just gross. Sleeping on the ground would be more clean and comfortable than this hotel. So sketchy. The hotel worker placed all of the keys to the rooms on the ice cooler. So unsafe and just weird. Hotel looks nothing like the photos.
