Housekeeping did not clean room. My daughter and I had to go to front desk and ask for trash bags. Internet sucks. TV takes an hour to upload features then constantly buffers. Luckily the man at front desk was pleasant.

We had to go to the front desk because the room had no heat. There was a very strong cleaning smell. I was having an allergy to either the cleaning chemicals or mold. I became sick during my stay because of it. Now that I am home, the allergy has seemed to go away. The window was dripping of condensation, which resulted in puddles of water. The bottom of the door was rotting. I would not stay or recommend this hotel.

Do not go here. They are scam artist. I was charged for a room I didn’t book and they refuse to refund my money. I was told the manager would call me the text day to discuss and I never received a call back. The employee was rude, unprofessional and has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Stay away from this place if you don’t want to be treated like trash and SCAMMED.

Property was as best you could get for the price! Absolutely thrilled with our stay. Pool was still open for Irish Weekend and was heated!! Beds were clean and moderately comfortable. Had a nice tv, table spot to hang jackets and a nice closet space with a microwave and mini fridge. Air conditioner was a bit outdated but kicked ass, keeping the room cold. Bathroom was maybe the only downside: shower was great but the area where the toilet and sink made for an uncomfortable sit, especially if you are on the bigger side. Ceiling also looked a little moldy but I was expecting way worse for a motel. We had quick access to the boardwalk, less than an 5min walk. Had a liquor store across the street. The 2nd floor had some chairs and a grill if you wanted to cook. Management was nice and was quick to respond when we had a personal issue and also let us check in an hour early at no charge. Towels available upon request, easy peasy. They allowed us to park wherever we could find space at either hotel area (The own the Wave hotel next door too). Overall it was an amazing stay and I would definitely go back again!!

We stayed at the Tropicana in August 2025 for two nights, after having a positive experience in 2024. This time, however, there were a few noticeable differences.
Last year, a continental breakfast was included, which our kids especially enjoyed. This year, the only options in the lounge were pre-packaged muffins and bagels, which was disappointing.
Our room was as expected and consistent with our previous stay, though the bathroom felt more run down. The toilet had stains and an ill-fitting seat cover, and there was black grout along the sink and shower.
We stayed Thursday through Saturday and didn’t experience any issues with noise, which we appreciated. However, the stairwell area was not well maintained. Each morning we noticed trash around the stairs and underneath them, though it did get swept later in the day.
The pool is a good size and the kids enjoyed it, but it wasn’t cleaned before opening. We had to skim out debris ourselves in the morning. While the pool staff came around mid-morning to vacuum sand, this ideally should have taken place before guests start swimming.
Overall, while we still enjoyed parts of our stay, the upkeep and amenities did not meet the standard we experienced in 2024.

This hotel was one of the dirtiest I’ve ever stayed in. From the moment I arrived, I was disappointed. The stairs leading up to the rooms were filthy, and the parking lot for this motel was umm not so great let’s just say.

When I entered my room, things only got worse. The room was much smaller than advertised, which already felt misleading. Then I noticed my bed sheets had sand in them, and the floor was gritty as well. It was obvious the sheets hadn’t been changed, and the room hadn’t been cleaned properly before my stay. That alone is unacceptable.

The worst part was the bathroom—there was an overwhelming amount of mold covering the ceiling. It was so disgusting I almost didn’t want to use it at all. Mold is a serious health hazard, and the fact that the hotel allows guests to stay in those conditions is alarming.

The renovations on the interior were great. Parking was okay but you can’t expect great parking in wildwood. They had a huge cracked section at the top of the stairs. It was a nice stay. Pretty quiet. If you’re not a fan of smelling smoke, this place is great as it is a non smoking campus. I’m a smoker myself and made sure to do it off property.

Rooms are very small. I asked for a room on the lowest floor due to my son breaking a leg and they gave us a room on the highest floor at the very end of the corridor. The Internet was terrible. They say there’s a continental breakfast but I think they put it out for about a half hour and forget there are other guests that wake up after 6 AM.

Check in staff was rude, and “cash only” deposit that was never discussed. Also said the age minimum was 25 to get a room but said they’d let us in if we paid the deposit. But there was lots of other teens that looked to be there for senior week. Room was generally nice but every pillow and sheet had brown or black stains. Parking lot under the motel only has about 10 spaces so could be a struggle getting a spot later in the day

The motel is ok for a couple nights. The rooms are not very big. Day 2, first day to clean our room, no one showed up to clean it and give new towels. I had to request it. You actually have to check in at the neighboring motel. No coffee in room
Only in the other hotel lobby. This is a 1960's or 70's motel with laminate floors and an updated cabinet, vanity, shower, tiling and paint. But you can still tell it's old.

Don’t be deceived by the outside appearance!!
Upon arrival, I was a little skeptical because of the outside, which is a bit dated, but I was still going to remain positive. Upon check-in, I was greeted by a gentleman at the front desk. That was very helpful with parking and very informative. He was friendly and was quick with my check in. Upon arrival into the room I was very very surprised at how clean and somewhat modern the inside of the room was. It’s not the largest room but plenty of room. I wasn’t doing gymnastics or anything in there just needed somewhere to sleep relax shower while I was in for a motorcycle and hot Rod race for the weekend. The microwave and fridge were working perfectly. The room was clean. The sheets were clean and the bathroom was very clean and had everything I needed from complementary soap, lotions, and even had USB plug-ins next to the bed. Outside there was a nice patio area for people to enjoy meals, drinks, etc. and then two chairs outside of each room which was very nice for just relaxing playing on your phone or maybe having a beverage and looking over the city. It is conveniently located within minutes of dining and the boardwalk. so in a nutshell, I was very pleased with this property and will definitely stay here every time I go back to Wildwood.

I will never use expedia again. After reserving a rental car through expedia, i booked the hotel. Go to pick up the rental car and they tell me they dont except the card i use. Which i used to reserve the rental car THROUGH EXPEDIA! Had to cancel my kids and i's trip and was unable to cancel the hotel reservation. That alone was almost 300 dollars i couldnt get back.

The staff was very friendly. The room looked just like the picture and was spacious. However there were gnats everywhere. On the headboard, in the fridge, on the ceiling. I have bites from head to toe within the first hour. My parents stayed in a separate room next to mine n only had a few gnats. Both of the tv's in our rooms did not work because the wifi was not strong enough. We stayed for 3days n had no tv. When we called about the gnats and the tv the staff member said the wifi just wasnt good there was nothing they can do and as far as the gnats they had no other rooms available. The room was clean and the pool area was nice. Very close to boardwalk. Over all was an OK place but would really have liked a tv to watch in the evening to relax n to not be eaten alive by gnats.

So scary to have stayed here with my children. The deadbolt didn’t work. The shower makes a loud whistling noise, the windows had now shades so I had to stuff my towels in them. We had room 18 and it’s in the corner so no actually light gets to it and all you hear are the cleaning ladies talking late at night and early. The WiFi was terrible. We will never stay here. We’ve stayed at waves multiple times so I didn’t think it would be so different. I will say it was very clean in the room!

My family of 4 just had a great 4 night stay here! I was nervous after reading some reviews but we enjoyed our stay! Rooms are small but we were there just to sleep. Staff was super nice and helpful. Sometimes we had to leave our car key for parking, but they were quick to move cars out of the way if we needed ours. The location was great, very close to boardwalk and restaurants. The kids loved the pool and we were surprised there was a breakfast option in the morning! It wasnt anything fancy but cereal, coffee, juice,toast,muffins, and eggs, perfect for something quick before heading to the beach. We would definitely book here, again!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Tropicana motel and I must say it is excellent.

The motel itself is modern with stylish decor. The room I stayed in was clean, and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The bathroom was also impressive with a comfortable shower.

In terms of location, the Tropicana motel is conveniently situated near various restaurants, shops, and entertainment options. It is walking distance from the boardwalk.

Overall, my experience at the Tropicana motel was excellent. The combination of outstanding service, good accommodations, and convenient location made for a truly memorable.

We had a okay stay here but it was a little less attractive than in the photos. Additionally, there is a quiet time from 10 am-10 pm and there were rowdy guests out past midnight screaming and causing a scene. This resulted in a large fight and the police being called at 1 am. No one from the property stopped the prior disturbance or the later fight. Also, someone in a nearby room was smoking marijuana frequently. This was a placed filled with small children and young kids. Nothing was done about it as well. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again- I would pay more to stay somewhere more regulated and attended by a staff.

We were skeptical to book this hotel considering other reviews. However it was very nice not outdated nor did it smell. Great place for a great buck, I highly recommend staying here, Staff at the front desk were super helpful. It’s a short walk to the beach which was a plus. Super impressed, looks just like the photos! Parking is the only downside easy to get blocked in.

I stayed here for a few nights off-season as one of the two guests they had at the time. There were cracks in the window to my room, there was no deadbolt, deadlock, or chain lock on my door which was a bit concerning. There was no cleaning service, and the overnight staff seemed confused about how to check me in. They collected my car keys the first night but then didn't the rest of the time. I tried extending my stay for a night and they increased the price by $50 for the night, despite it being off season and they clearly needed the business. I ended up leaving and found much better accommodations at the Adventurer Oceanfront Hotel (great off-season prices).
