We didn't use the pool but people.were using it. They did not allow pets. The front desk lady was very nice and friendly and even got us a first floor room. It was a handicap room which was okay. The only issue I had is I dropped my phone and had to move the bed so cleaning staff need to check the floor under headboard dust and dead crickets.

This is a hard review to write because it's a conflicted viewpoint and rating. The property is a Super 8 Motel. If you're seeking the Ritz Carlton for $90/night, you're delusional. The room was clean and clearly well organized. The staff was remarkably kind and accommodating during check in and check out. Sadly, my bed's comforter had a large cigarette burn through it. There were a big collection of dead bugs in one of the light fixtures. The motel is old and needs some touch ups and repairs but I will not complain. The little motel pool was clean. Overall, I rated it 'good.' Would I come here again? Yes. Was it an amazing stay? No. But again, it's a Super 8 Motel. It's for people who need some sleep in a safe setting. And the staff is more than happy to help you. From a 1 to a 10: 7. Set your expectations based on the cost.

The property is very run down with paint faded and peeling. The cost was ridiculous, $682.50 for 2 nights! It was difficult to get to. Roaches crawled on me during the night and there were many roaches in the room. The toilet was not seated and rocked when you sat on it. Would NOT recommend this Hotel.

They called twice to change our room first time was because somebody wanted that room , then they said the drain didn’t work. We ended up with a two queen room that were like sleeping on top of a tin can, pillows were just as hard as a bricks, roaches in the room.

I would give this place zero stars if I could , we arrived back late and was getting ready to go to bed , and we pulled the blankets back and saw what looked like dried blood on the sheets , one of the pillows was nasty as well, I got the guy at the front desk and he came and looked and then went and got another guy , they aplogized and we checked out then and went to a dif hotel , hotels.com did refund my money , this hotel is just beyond disgusting , do not waste your money

There were roahes in the room. The wash rags and towels looked dirty. The shower rod was barely hanging on the wall and hanging down.iI was to afraid to get a shower because of the rod and towels ans washrags. There was not much for breakfast. Very little coffee no juice and very little milk. There were ants all over the counter in the breakfast area. I will not be back.

I reserved a room on bottom floor with conveniences like shower handles for my 94 year old mother 2 weeks in advance, paid. We get there and they give us a room on 2nd floor (stairs only) and without special amenities. I asked what happen to our room. They gave it to someone. We finally got one on 1st floor, no bathroom grab bars, no payment reduction. Then found toilet was about to fall apart. Worst visit EVER.

My stay was only 1 night and it was awesome I really liked how quiet it was . It was clean and the people who work there were really friendly. I will be back to stay again definitely when I’m in the area looking for a nice comfy spot . Breakfast was good too !

We had to WALK up stairs to get to our room. We are in our 70's and a challenge.
We stayed a second time on our trip and asked for the first floor. MUCH BETTER. Dirty floors.

There was a food container left in the fridge from the previous guests who stayed so not sure how well the cleaning staff cleaned before we checked in. There were a few bugs crawling on the floor… which I can understand we can’t control if they come in every now and then but there were also dead ones on the floor! My stay was decent. This motel is definitely a budget rental for a temporary stay. I didn't realize this was a motel with all outdoor facing rooms or I would've booked elsewhere. There is nothing in the way of food within walking distance. There was no elevator so my husband with mobility limitations unfortunately had to walk up two flights of stairs. Apparently there were no floor level rooms left. The room was no frills, but sufficient. The bed was comfy. Fridge, microwave and tv worked. There was coffee and a hair dryer. The room and restroom were clean with no smells. I can't speak to the breakfast as I missed it. It was too chilly for the pool but it looked clean. The parking lot was super small and awful to navigate. The staff were friendly and communicated well. Overall decent stay.

The hotel was just ok as a place to stay. There was not much parking. No elevators to get to the second floor. The shower curtain was moldy, but they did change it. There were tiny tumble weeds in the staircase. The room was relatively clean. The shower did not work properly. The staff was nice though.

Overall I was quite pleased with the property. The staff were friendly, and the room was comfortable. My only real complaint was that I specifically searched for hotels with a hot tub and once we checked in, we were told the hot tub had been closed for over a year. My girlfriend and I were both coming off of stressful work weeks and we agreed that spending some time in the hot tub was what we wanted most. I'm not sure who needs to update their information, the hotel or Expedia, but while it wasn't a deal breaker, it was certainly a disappointment.

I didn't like anything about the facility, the rooms/beds were old and smells bad, the towels were dirty l, they were not wash properly, the light inside the bathroom was broken. We stay there for 3 nights and they never cleaned the room. I had to go and ask them for more towels and room service, they gave the towels but never clean the room. The service is bad. Will never stay in this place again and will not recommend it to anyone.

Checked in and the room had what looked like food stains on the wall and counter tops. Underneath the air conditioner the wall had a huge gap where the opening was so big the hot air and daylight were coming through. The television had a break in in so the screen was messed up. The towels look like someone blew their nose in it. We told the front desk and the gentlemen gave us another room. He was extremely nice and apologetic, a super nice guy but even though the other room was a little better it was still sub par. I paid over 100 a night when in reality it should be a 40.00 dollar night cheap motel. Im not one to complain but ive stayed in Super 8's before and was frankly very disappointed in the one in Bastrop. Ill never stay there again.

Mattress was so worn out if carpet had been shampoo I would have slept on floor

The cleanliness of the rooms was horrible. I have several photos of the dust in the air vents, mold in the shower handle, dirty microwave with red stuff dripping off of it (blood?) And the coffee creamer that was in the \"coffee kit\" was so hard it broke into little pieces when I opened it. The hotel lost power on the first night I was there, and not one person from management came around asking if anyone was ok, or needed anything. The parking areas are so far away from the room doors, that I had to park and walk around 1/2 of the building then lug my things upstairs. I asked for a ground floor, but ended up on the 2nd floor. The Front desk clerk that was there was very nice and very efficient and speedy! I have no complaints about him. But I won't be coming back to this hotel again.

Didn't even look at the microwave. Bathroom door jam was busted like someone had kicked it in and it was never fixed. Usually have no problems with Super 8, but will never stay there again!
