Room was clean and staff were great. Only downside was the insanely noisy DJ in the bar area immediately below my room that did not wrap up until 1am.
Not my finest nights sleep but it was only for one night so…

The history, cosy atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff; all combined to impress me from check-in to check-out.

I slept soundly in a large comfortable bed and in the morning they served me a choice of a big vegetarian or meat-lover’s breakfast.

Simply superb!

Well done to the team at Kilmorey Arms Hotel ! My Mood Compass will no doubt draw me back there again soon.

Very comfortable stay. Room was clean and well equipped with great en-suite bathroom. Cooked breakfast was tasty and good breakfast selections. Enjoyed lunch in restaurant before going home. Great selections on menu and well cooked. Great roast dinner options on Sunday too.

This was our 2nd time staying at this hotel and again another amazing stay. Pauline on reception was so friendly and spoke to us more like a friend. She even thanked us for the leaving a review. We stayed in room 123 which had little steps up to it and was like a hobbits room but super cosy. Even though the hotel was extremely busy the staff couldn't do enough for the guests, always on hand to talk to guests and always had a friendly smile on their face. Breakfast again was fantastic with both continental and cooked on offer. Definitely recommend checking this hotel out.

Amazing stay

Checked in quickly by an amazing female member of staff on front desk. We were shown around the hotel and arrangements were made for breakfast. Our room over looked the beer garden which was slightly noisy but there was a function ongoing which ran into the night. The room was spotless, there was water, tea and coffee supplied and we had a super comfy bed. For breakfast there was a continental breakfast available and you could also have a cooked breakfast. We made the most of it and ordered the cinnamon brioche toast with honey and a jam pot and the Mourne fry and also helped ourselves to some continental as well. Overall we had an amazing seat and we will certainly be returning.

It’s always a good sign when you are sad to leave. LOVELY HOTEL - GREAT FOOD - SPOTLESS

The Kilmorey Hotel is a great family hotel in the Mournes.
Welcomed by Pauline - so friendly and helpful. Our room, a good size, had plenty of wardrobe space/drawers and mirrors & was spotlessly clean, comfortable and warm. Super amount of electrical plug points!
Bathroom sparkling. A little short on the toiletries - only enough for one person. Towels soft and fluffy.
Bottles of water provided.

Restaurant food delicious. I probably had the best creme brulee ever! Hats off to the chef! Beautifully presented too.
Cillian, one of the waiters (although others were good too but I don't have their names) was polite, helpful and extremely friendly. Our meal came in super quick time.
Breakfast good with ample choice of Continental and cooked food.
The two cleaners we met - Bernie and Charlene, were very friendly and certainly do an excellent job.
Vicki, in the Bar, was also helpful and friendly.

Security in Car Park is good - closes at 11. 00 p .m.

We were disturbed by dreadful noise up until around
4. 30 a.m. from folks in a nearby room. We were advised later we should have reported this to the Night Porter.

This hotel is more than a 3*+ but I understand the necessary requirements to become 4*. Possibly best to remain as a 3*+ and do the job extremely well, which they are doing at the minute.

Can highly recommend this small hotel.

Our room was directly above a nightclub/bar area with music that actually caused the furniture to vibrate. An explanation was that the staff had pointed out they had bar entertainment but not that we wouldn’t sleep until 2am because of this. In the room we had stained sheets. The bathroom floor tiles were broken and caused a small cut to my foot. The shower had only cold or tepid water at any time off day.

We had a great time at the Kilmorey Arms Hotel. All the staff were very helpful and friendly and Kate especially had a good knowledge of things to do and places to visit which was great.
The food was really good and tasty. The room we stayed in could’ve done with a little tlc ( wallpaper coming off in a few places) but overall it was very comfortable and clean and we would definitely stay here again.
Hotel is situated in the main town which is great to get out and about, a nice walk from it to the lovely working harbour to see the boats coming in. Great wee shops and especially an ice cream parlour which was amazing 👍.
We walked over 20 miles in our 2 day stay, views of the mountains and the Silent Valley was fantastic, the stones walls everywhere are something special and an art in themselves.

Overall the hotel was excellent, the staff were very good and nothing was a problem. The place was clean and tidy. The hotel was very busy in the bar but extremely quiet in the bedroom area. We had a good breakfast with plenty of variety. Side plates next the toaster would help. We've used this hotel many times for lunch and they have been good, we will be back again.

Kilmorey should kill overloud music

The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly. However, our stay was ruined by the extremely loud music coming from a function downstairs. I'm not talking about a slight background noise, I'm talking about music so loud that it was like lying in the middle of the disco. We could hear every word of each song, the patrons singing along, and the bass resonated around the room. This would be a great hotel but I suggest you avoid weekends and enquire about functions before booking.
