This inn was a good base for our three days in Rostrevor/Newry. We were within walking distance of Kilbroney Park, which was lovely with lots of good walking and hiking options. The restaurant’s breakfast and dinner were very good. The manager was very accommodating when we realized I booked a room with one bed instead of two, and she took care of it quickly. We would definitely stay here again!

A charming Inn a quiet village. It is a short taxi ride from Warrenpoint with its breath taking views. It was unfortunate that the restaurant was closed on the day of our stay because it is highly esteemed. However we were directed by the staff to venture into Warrenpoint this we did and were not disappointed. We had a wonderful stay and we will return.

Rostrevor was the first place my traveling companion arrived and the staff was amazing. Bart & Deidra run that place. First ones in the morning, last ones at night closing the place with a smile in their faces. The bar was amazing with good music, we loved being so close to other places to explore, walk & have a coffee!

Our stay was straightforward and the room was clean. The bar and restaurant were closed for a private event the night of our stay leaving us with very limited dining options. We found a takeaway restaurant down the street and were able to take our meals into a neighboring pub. Also, there was no hair dryer provided. The stay was fine but I don't think I would stay again.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They printed our Air Lingus boarding passes for us the night before we returned home. The room was clean, the shower was easy to use and had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The breakfast was great! We had a wonderful meal for dinner also.
The only thing I would suggest for them to change is the time they start serving breakfast, 9 AM is a late start. If guests want to do regional sightseeing or have an early flight they would have to skip breakfast, as we did on our final morning.

Nice place, don’t stay on Tuesday!

We enjoyed our stay but probably wouldn’t have booked here if we had known that all the restaurants in Rostrevor are shut on Tuesdays. Apparently the restaurant is excellent, breakfast was certainly good so it was very frustrating to have to drive into Warrenpoint to eat. Also no music anywhere. Bar is very nice at hotel so check music and restaurant days before booking if that’s important to you.

We were only staying one night as we were attending a wedding but honestly wish we had booked for the weekend. Room was lovely and very clean. Booked in to the restaurant as we had noticed a few gluten free options on the menu outside. Food was great and good value with a bottle of wine. Limited GF options for starters & desserts but good for main courses. Same for breakfast, limited and no cereals but food was nice. Great venue. Wish we had been staying longer to try the bar and catch the music on offer but hopefully another time. Highly recommend.

Charming property but too noisy at night

The welcome we received, the charm of the place were beyond reproach. Breakfast was hearty and filling but could be improved by better quality sausages. The room itself was a good size, recently decorated, but the bed was rock-hard and the noise from the street in the early hours intolerable. For the money (it was expensive) i expect a decent night's sleep. As it was neither of us got any
Unfortunately there was no one we could complain to at the property in the morning.

I’m sure this place is far better than our experience of it. The plumbing failed so we couldn’t take a shower. The owner called a plumber immediately and obviously felt bad about the situation. There’s a great pub next door with good musicians and the food was really good.

The room was not spacious but had a lovely comfortable bed and in this instance I had the wet room bathroom which has lots of space. The room was clean and very nice. The owner did all in his power to source an iron for me which was greatly appreciated. The area itself is beautiful with views of the Cooley mountains and Carlingford lough. I was in the are for work but would recommend for a holiday.

A Part Time Hotel?????

We booked this place on the basis of the descriptions given about its facilities and atmospere.

Frankly - we were lied to and will never visit again!

Firstly I value off street car parking and free parking is specifically described - this turns out to be on street car parking and not on site parking at all.The streets of Rostrevor are historic with hardly enough width for cars to pass. Add in parking and there is substantial risk as well as distance to walk between car and hotel - especially with heavy luggage - totally unacceptable.

The hotel description makes much of the quality of food and drink on offer. To find on arival that nothing is offered after breakfast on Mondays and Tuesdays when your stay is Monday to Wednesday makes a complete mockery of that.

International travel to Ulster depends very largely on ferries. If you are on the morning Liverpool boat then you have to forego breakfst completely - not even a portion of a continental breakfast. By contrast if you take advantage of a late breakfast as offered every day - the your room doesn't get made up!

Sorry this place lied to us and for that it is off my list of places to stay - for life

A little over priced for what you get

Loverly clean hotel. We was working so didn’t check in till late. 9.30 pm. Had the hotel ringing us a few times asking were we was as we was half hour late. Then when I asked what time what time breakfast was as we was leaving at 8 am was told we couldn’t have anything as there breakfasts don’t start till 9 am till 11am. Not for people who late and start early but very clean

The Rostrevor Inn is perfectly located in the middle of town and near Kilborney Park. We were sad the restaurant was closed the night we were there, but the room (we got the Narnia room!) was very comfortable and the breakfast delicious and filling. The best part was the wonderful friendly bartender who checked us in, though. We loved Rostrevor and would happily stay here again.

We have just got home from a 4 day stay at The Rostrevor Inn and had a fantastic time!
The villagers of Rostrevor are so welcoming and friendly and the place is simply divine and unspoilt.
The Rostrevor Inn was lovely - clean and comfortable with friendly staff who are very attentive. Parking was not an issue as there was always parking on the road outside. We went into Crawfords Bar which had live Irish music being played, although we couldn't stay as there were no free seats which was a shame, but that's Covid for you! As well as breakfast we ate in the restaurant twice and the food was delicious - they have a great chef! We would definitely return and highly recommend this venue.

Our experience was good. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately with lockdown just ended the restaurant was only open for our third night there but the meal that night was excellent. The stairs to our top floor bedroom might be difficult fo some visitors.

A particular feature was the proximity of the Fairy Glen and and the beautiful parkland for walkers like ourselves.

Nice, friendly pub B&B. Was given an option for which i wanted as they weren't busy and i pick the top floor as it was quiet and big. Loved the hot shower with good water pressure and slept like a baby. Didn't have a chance to enjoy breakfast as i had to work, but dinner was amazing fresh seafood.

Great hotel for exploring the Mournes!

Great hotel in a lovely location perfect for exploring the local area including The Fairy Glen which was minutes away and great for a lovely stroll.
The staff in the hotel, the restaurant and the bar were really friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was delicious too and really good value - Thursday night is steak night - perfect!
The room (Number 2) was lovely, comfy bed, great size and quiet despite facing the street. Would happily stay again.

This hidden gem,in the little town of Rostrevor is a must when you visit the area.
The room was ideal for our needs , and Could easily accommodate another child.
The jewel in the crown however, is the Bistro! Superb food, in a cosy but vibrant atmosphere. And the breakfast? It was worth the money alone.

Our room was clean, comfortable and simply decorated with an en suite bathroom.

The food was very filling and delicious, lunch was not needed after having breakfast.

Dinner was a proper home cooked meal. With lots of variety on the menu.

Had a good stay in the Rostrevor Inn. It’s tastefully decorated and has all modern equipment in the rooms from a great shower to a good tv. The restaurant downstairs is a lovely place to eat with a great menu. The breakfast starts at 8am and the menu has loads on it. Yes there is a fry .... but wait there is French toast and a stack of pancakes. The staff are friendly and courteous. It’s just a great place to stay 👍

Warm welcome and pleasant very airy room. Breakfast was excellent but make sure you book if you want to eat in the evening as it gets busy.
Rostrevor is in a lovely setting nr Carlingford Lough and the Mountains of Mourne. Great for walking & biking, some nice places to eat and drink and thee Inn wasa pleasant and welcoming place to stay.

They call this a B&B, but I have stayed in much lesser hotels. Very comfortable and good location for hiking in the Mourne Mountains. Staff friendly, great Irish breakfast, and the Guinness is pretty good as well! On my list for a return visit - the hiking is spectacular.

Lovely area & people. Lovely food downstairs.

This is a lovely part of the world and the people are very nice indeed. I did not have breakfast as I had to leave before 8am but had a really nice dinner in the restaurant below. My only problem was that my room was towards the front and I am a light sleeper and didn’t have any beer to deaden the noise :-). Other than that, I would have no problem at all. I should have asked to move but didn’t.

A place to keep an eye on for what's happening

Our stay at Rostrevor inn was quite special! We were lucky to be there right before Halloween and they had a night with a story teller and a harp player in the bar that was such a treat! Twice a month they have musicians over for a concert in the bar, informal and pleasant, a space to watch! The inn is certainly comfortable, the food is good, the staff very friendly. Although it has all the comforts, I don't rate it 5stars because of the quality of the room furnishings and their beauty, could be better! But certainly a lovely stay!
