The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff helpful. We especially appreciated the staff on the morning we departed who called us a taxi and served us expresso as we waited. The restaurant meal we had was also excellent.

My thanks to Regina for the great welcome. The place really is very well run, clean, good food but its the staff make it the place it is, including the dining room staff. However will someone please update the heating instructions as the weather turns cold ? Far more info is needed, I bet Regina could do it. For eg the first line is" to ensure the circle is in the rectangle " IF its not its not clear how to make it happen !! A small but important matter ! Thanks for everything else !

I and 3 friends staying there in Oct, from the very start the welcome was v positive. My 3 American friends enjoyed an evening meal and all us enjoyed a drink later on. The barman / night porter was most engaging and good fun. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order with great variety. The hotel is out of town and was very quiet. In fact I m returning again this week.

Fabulous Flagstaff

Fabulous hotel in lovely location.
I could tell you about the great bedroom with very spacious bathroom with great towels. Both spotless.
I could tell you about their excellent dinner menu & equally excellent breakfast.
Instead I'll tell you about the staff. Every one of them from check-in to restaurant staff were friendly, knowledgeable & professional.
A credit to the hotel.

We arrived early, but the staff were very accommodating and got our room ready early. They also offered us breakfast and a drink on arrival which we really appreciated. All the staff were friendly and polite. Our room was really spacious, clean and very comfortable. We had an evening meal at the hotel which was humongous! The food was hot and tasty, nothing to fault in our opinion.

Rooms were perfectly adequate for the stay, clean and tidy. Had diner and breakfast both were delicious and had lots of options. Only slight negative was that hot breakfast finishes at 9.30 which is a bit early for me,

We were especially impressed with the helpfulness of the staff member (Caroline?) on reception when we arrived and in her role later in the stay. The car park is unusually steeply sloped and it takes a bit of effort to find a step-free way to reach the rooms. The food was good.

Beautiful large room, amazing food, friendly staff

Really lovely big spacious room with walk-in shower. We had paid extra for mountain view but this was partially hidden by overgrowth of hedging so not worth the extra. Food was amazing with plenty of choice and reasonable prices and the staff were all so friendly. We would definitely recommend

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!

The staff - Glen, Regina and Caroline were absolutely amazing! There was nothing they wouldn’t do for us. I had an absolutely amazing evening with them even though I was there for business it felt like I was on holiday. I will definitely be bringing my husband back for a holiday soon!

Only 1 problem

Everyone was amazing, food was amazing but… I asked for a handicap room. The bathtub was way too tall for my safety

Class staff, lovely accommodation, good grub

This place must be missing one or two really minor criteria for meeting 4star quality, because it's really really good. Louise at reception greeted us on arrival like we were old friends. I've stayed in hundreds of places but have never felt as welcome, she's a star.
The room was lovely and the bed was enormous. It was comfy. Room had a few chairs as well which is always a plus. Bathroom was basic but perfect. Everywhere was clean.
We ate in the restaurant both nights. There's loads of choice on the menu but the quality still holds up, everything we ate was superb. The staff were so nice there too.
We ate breakfast both mornings, loads of grub and very tasty too. Again the staff on at breakfast were dead on.
This is a really good hotel in a convenient spot if you are using Newry as a base like we were.
