Everything about Quinta do Bosque is exceptional — from the warm reception when we arrived to the stunning views of the Douro Valley mountains from the pool. The property is set in a peaceful, secluded spot away from the busier tourist areas, making it the perfect place to unwind.
Getting there takes a little patience (the roads are narrow and winding), but it’s absolutely worth it once you arrive. The staff are wonderful — friendly, welcoming, and always eager to make your stay special. The rooms and amenities are top-notch, far exceeding our expectations.
Breakfasts are delicious and generous, with plenty of variety. We dined at the on-site restaurant both evenings and were blown away by the quality and creativity of the menu — and the wine selection was excellent too. This was literal heaven. Warm, attentive service, spectacular views, comfortable rooms (even with room darkening electric shades), incredible food, and not a thing overlooked with the tiniest attention to detail that makes this place perfect. They even sock a fridge with wines and beers and offer snacks / tapas during the day if you feel like lounging by the pool and never leaving. They offer a set course dinner which changes nightly as well and the breakfast was so great you really should just park here for days at a time.

There is only good things to say about this hotel. My wife and I spent 3 nights of our trip here and it was hands down the best part of our Portugal trip. We ordered the dinner at the hotel every night and it was very delicious,the service was so good we felt like we were dining at a high level restaurant. The breakfast was also very delicious every morning. The owners are always smiling, always around to help you with whatever you need. The hotel is so nice,cozy,quiet and romantic! Quinta do Bosque was truly amazing! The service and quality went above and beyond what we could have ever expected and well above any 5 star rated hotel we have stayed at. Every little detail is thought out, from the design and decor of the common area and rooms, the stocked common honor bar to the quality and presentation of the food served. We ate dinner both nights at the Quinta and the food was superb. Honestly, to just sit and enjoy a quiet, superb meal by the wood fireplace, looking out at the lights of the village of Mesão Frio below, was the retreat we didn't realize we desperately needed! We will definitely visit again.

This is one of those vacations or stays that we won't forget soon. This estate is nestled high in the Duoro valley with incredible views of the mountains that brings relaxation and tranquility. If you are looking for a relaxing get away with the highest level of service, this is it! Christiano and his team treat their guests like family friends. Their attention to every detail is something that medium to big hotels just cannot match. The way they treat their guests, makes us feel like family, something that big hotels just won't be able to do. Fantastic hotel for first stay in the Douro Valley
Quinta do Bosque is a fantastic place to stay in the Douro Valley if you're looking for a smaller hotel with great food and friendly staff. Cristiano and his colleagues pay attention to every detail and the property is just so beautiful. If you aren't familiar with the area, prepare for lots of narrow winding roads, so choose a smaller car if possible. The drive to Pinhāo and back is one of the most stunning drives I've ever done. We are so glad that we chose to stay in Mesāo Frio, and we hope we can visit again soon. Also Becas, the dog, is the cutest host. We loved walking around the vineyards with him.

Wow! This property was simply outstanding. The view is just awesome and Christiano and his staff went out of their way to make us feel so welcome and relaxed. Our room was spacious and the balcony view out of this world. We stayed for dinner as we didn’t want to venture out in our rental car at night on the small and steep roads and so happy we did. The dinner was just delicious, grilled octopus with full four courses and the included breakfast was delightful. Just book this place!

One of the best part of our Portugal trip was when we stayed at Quinta de bosque. The hotel is beautifully designed, big room with great bed, shower, all of the small details are fully thought. My stay here was perfect. The quinta is luxurious- pool with lounge chairs, beautiful sitting area, comfortable beds, a rain shower with robe and slippers and so many small simple touches that make the stay luxurious. There were sprigs of rosemary on the pillows and clementines in the room as welcomes for the stay. The breakfast was better than I’ve had in a long time- fresh fruits, yogurt, cheese, meats, eggs/bacon, breads, jams, fresh squeezed juice and coffee. Nothing was left out. I will definitely stay here again and give it the highest rating possible and at a extremely reasonable price. 5 stars

We were warmly welcomed by Cristiano with a glass of local port and given exceptional assistance and recommendations our entire stay. Das Boutique-Hotel liegt traumhaft mit atemberaubendem Blick ins Douro-Tal – eine wahre Oase der Ruhe. Die stilvoll eingerichteten Zimmer sind modern, gemütlich und makellos gepflegt. Der wunderschöne Garten mit Pool lädt zum Entspannen ein. Das Frühstück ist phänomenal: frisch, regional und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Auch das Abendessen ist ein Highlight – perfekt, da die Anfahrt bei Nacht etwas abenteuerlich sein kann. Cristiano und seine Frau sind fantastische Gastgeber, die den Aufenthalt unvergesslich machen.

Nous avons passé un moment absolument merveilleux à la Quinta. Les hôtes sont très gentils et hyper accueillants. Les chambres sont spacieuses et magnifiquement décorées. L’endroit avec la vue est superbe. La Quinta fait un petit déjeuner absolument extraordinaire et ils proposent aussi un dinner le soir si vous le souhaitez. Il y a plein de petits services annexe qui font que vous vous sentez comme à la maison. Pour nous, c’est au-delà d’un 10/10 ! Nous avons rarement vu un tel niveau sur tous les sujets. Nous avons vraiment hâte d’y revenir !

Simplesmente um dos melhores lugares que já ficamos! O capricho e cuidado em cada detalhe é perceptível deixando tudo impecável! São apenas 5 quartos então a pousada é muito tranquila, intimista e aconchegante…!Acredito que muitos hotéis 5 estrelas não tem o atendimento tão atencioso que eles proporcionam…! Tudo que comemos la, tanto no café da manhã quanto no jantar estava muito bom, comida deliciosa, fresca e muito bem servida! Ficamos na suíte de nome “Rica” e o quarto é incrível…a cama te abraça e não da vontade nem de sair do quarto rsrs! Realmente Tudo maravilhoso! Com certeza voltaremos um dia!
