Spacious room with fabulous views.
Helpful staff on front desk. Pleasant staff elsewhere though restaurant seemed understaffed especially at breakfast time. Food good.
Spa very pleasant and everywhere warm.
TV disappointing as no English speaking channels and casting just didn’t work. Reported but nothing changed. Normally this wouldn’t have bothered us but the weather was really bad for 36 hours so couldn’t get out much.
Overall fabulous place to stay. Great location for walking.

The views from the property are amazing, it is in such a beautiful location.
We enjoyed the spa which you have to book separately and I would highly recommend, as you book a slot it never feels busy which is great.
The food as the property is great, the only thing that lets it down is the lack of staff. The staff working there were lovely, but there were so few of them that it took a long time to order and get a table, you feel a bit neglected. It also means tables sit uncleared for a long time too.
I was also disappointed that in the room there is no water or extra touches, and for somewhere quite remote these things would be appreciated

Good sized room with amazing view of the mountains and incredible sunsets. The room and hotel generally are very well maintained and clean. Reception staff always efficient and friendly. The restaurant staff could be more welcoming with the exception of Fatima who was a ray of sunshine at breakfast - very efficient and always smiling. The choices at breakfast were excellent with table service for hot food
and pots of tea and coffee which is so much better than the hot drinks machines. The 3 courses dinners were of a high quality but limited choices on the menu which was the same for our 3 night stay. The location is ideal for keen hikers with a number of stunning walks from the hotel. This is our second stay and we hope to return again next year.

The views from this hotel are absolutely breathtaking, but unfortunately the stay itself was disappointing. We stayed for two nights during our honeymoon in Gran Canaria and had very poor sleep. The room was extremely hot and the air conditioning only blew warm air. As the room was on the ground floor, opening the balcony door for air didn’t feel safe, but it was the only way to cool the room.

There was no kettle in the room, which I found unusual, and when I asked for an iron I wasn’t given an ironing board. We also had no WiFi in our room for the entire stay, despite raising this several times with reception. A room change was eventually offered, but too late to move with a sleeping toddler.

We couldn’t get a table in the restaurant until late, so ate at the bar instead. €16 for egg and chips felt poor value, especially as the chips were undercooked. The balcony floorboards were also broken in places, which felt unsafe for our child.

The public areas are beautiful and the views are incredible, but the rooms need better maintenance and comfort to match the setting.

The room and view was very nice. Unfortunately rainy the whole time but we got a few glimpses of the view. Breakfast is just ok. Make sure to take the GC-15 road to get there verses whatever other route your gps tells you to take.

Hi have to recommend. This place even if is for one night .
We stayed for two nights and was enough as we were not prepared for trekking and this is the main attraction to the area.
The pros: great spa, the restaurant team good food(make sure you book the half board option) not much around to go for dinner
And the views. Ask for room with view
The con: I think reception staff could have been trained better. The guy doing the check in was not interested at all, unlike the F&B team who were great and providing a friendly service, this was not the cas EOF reception
The hotel rooms need a bit of updating, see photo shower and hairdryer.
Pillows not very comfortable
But would come back for sure. Had a good time here

The location is great and staff friendly and efficient. Dinner and breakfast was good too.
Downside was the 35euros to use the spa for an hour and a half - overpriced for what it is. There is a lovely lounge area that is not put to any use. They light a fire about 5pm and then just let it go out so later in the evening when a fire would be nice it’s just ashes. Would be good if they served after dinner drinks in this area but it’s just dead.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Le site est vraiment extraordinaire..des paysages à couper le souffle! L’hôtel est propre, bien entretenue, petit déjeuner très complet et diner (souper) vraiment bien. Le seul petit bémol : les employés ne sont pas chaleureux et limitent les intéractions avec la clientèle. C’est dommage…mais pas suffisant pour ne pas y retourner. Je recommande fortement,,surtout si vous aimez la randonnée!

The hotel is in an amazing location with spectacular views. The rooms are spacious with balconies overlooking the views.
There is no pool other than as part of a spa complex you have to pay €35 to enter for 2 hours. After you have hiked in the area there is nothing to do at the hotel.
Breakfast was fine - good choice and ok service (although the tables were left uncleared) but dinner was very disappointing.
The room is very brightly lit and feels like a school dinner hall to me, the first night we had to wait 15 mins in a queue to be seated and then service was very slow and stressed. It was clearly understaffed.
The second night we went earlier and were seated quicker but this time our food arrived before anyone had served our drinks and the waiter then nearly threw the wine and water at us in a panic. The food was ok but not amazing.
The cafe/bar had only 1 member of staff who was working incredibly hard and we had to wait ages to be served. A couple we had met gave up and didn't get a drink at all. Surely if the hotel employed more staff they would sell more drinks and snacks and pay for the extra staff easily!
All in all the views are the best thing about the parador and the customer experience could be dramatically improved.

Amazing views

An absolute must for a one-night stay. We chose this hotel for the phenomenal views and easy hiking access and it did not disappoint.
Overall I'd give it 4/5. We stayed for 3 nights and there are some areas they could improve in.
First of all, the spa is not free for hotel guests. This was not made clear before booking so it's something to keep in mind. You're also limited to 90 minutes.
The pool shown in all the pictures does in fact belong to the spa so you won't have access to it as a hotel guest - unless you pay to access the spa for a bit. Some spa features were broken or not working and there wasn't much variety offered. The women's bathroom door doesn't lock and if anyone leans on to it, it lifts the whole door from bottom up, an accident waiting to happen. Fantastic view, but as a guest, you get the same view from your room. The only redeamable side of the spa were the lovely ladies who gave our massages, fantastic. 3/10

Hotel stay - I'm not sure if the aircon was broken or we were unable to make it work. But it was definitely hot in the room. The bathroom didn't have proper ventilation so a stale bathroom smell always greeted us upon arrival. Daily upkeep was not up to a 4 star hotel standard. None of our towels were changed, even though requested. The dirty towels from the floor were just hung back.

Had a one night stay in the hotel and only wished it could have been longer! Spectacular views, friendly staff, a lovely big clean room and a pleasant experience in the spa. We had a meal in the bar area at night which was good and enjoyed the breakfast the next morning which was self service buffet style, however we did not see any warm food options. We would stay again.

Amazing view from the hotel and seems every room has access to balcony facing sunset of the mountain! Very comfortable and we’ll maintained hotel. Only negatives were the staff at the restaurant don’t speak English well, and if we have any question or want anything we were told to use hotel app scan via QR code for everything. Which is sometimes slow in response.

Fantastic views from our room and the restaurant more than lived up to our expectations. Very comfortable room & bed, with good quality pillows. Breakfast buffet would have been even more excellent if they hadn't run out of some dishes because of the unexpected number of guests resulting from the sandstorm, which had closed airport. We did think staff should have forewarned us that 11pm was too late for us to order after dinner drinks to take to our room, as we had expected an hotel of this calibre to be more flexible.

Great location however hotel needs an update, whilst mains were cooked well at dinner, dessert and service was terrible : 2 courses took 1.45hrs! Temperature of thermal pool/jacuzzi is not hot enough so aching muscles aren’t relaxed in any way.

Front desk could not find our reservation upon arrival. Not sure whether Hotels.com or the Parador is to blame. We were given the \"last room available\" which overlooked the parking lot. All of the other rooms at this hotel have a fantastic view over the valley. We never received an explanation as to what happened to our reservation. Our room was quite cold and had a portable space heater in the middle of the floor.

What an amazing view, see for miles, when not in cloud. Beautiful sun set. The only thing I would have liked, was tea making facilities in the room. Also, the pool area is only open to paying spa guests. The breakfast did need to be hotter for our liking.

-5000ft up in a very unique location.
-Amazing views of mountains.
-Rooms a good size.
-Nice bathrooms, food shower.
-Nice restaurant, generally good food and good service.
-Relaxing spa (costs extra).
-Friendly staff.

Negatives....
-Nail bitting drive up the mountain.
-Needs a refresh in areas (room seats over used, chips off furniture and scrapes on walls)
-Menu in restaurant is limited (3 nights of the same menu was enough).
-Bar tatty (broken blinds).
-Nice tea or coffee in bedroom.

No ''Do Not Disturb'' sign in room, so maids knocking early morning. So no sleep in for us!
Spa closes way too early, and opens 1 pm! USELESS.

Generally found furnishings a bit dated and although the weather was very cold the hotel was very cold until people complained. Restaurant staff on first night were appalling. Eventually came to table then nothing. After a while he came back and asked for our order again!! Clearing of tables took a long time and menu not large enough for more than 2 night stopover.

the location is really wonderful, in the middle of a chain of volcanic mountains, you can go hiking all day long followed by a beautiful dinner in the hotel restaurant, the spa area is very good ( check the prices and conditions before hand ) rooms are big enough with a wonderful view and balcony, WARNING: do not go eat outside, opposite of the hotel complex, one restaurant must be actually pose a danger to your health ( very cheap though ) and the other one is a complete rip off..overall: the hotel is highly recommendable for a stay of up to 4/5 nights max

A 'grand' Gran Canaria setting

We had previously stayed at the Parador in Santiago de Compostella, so new what to expect at Cruz de Tejeda, despite some less than excellent reviews we read on this site. We're pleased to write that our expectations were totally justified. What a superb hotel set in a wonderful and awe inspiring environment. Everything about the hotel and it's facilities are without of the highest order. We recommend it to everyone. Access to a car is essential if one is to make best use of the area

Fabulous for romantic hikers.

Stunning scenery. Beautiful hotel and setting. Spa is wonderful - the feature to duck under a glass partition in the pool to bathe under the stars, in the wind or even the rain is amazing. The journey up from the coast and any travel by car in the area is not for the faint hearted or those who get car sick! Roads are narrow and incredibLy windy. Very few restaurants around within any kind of reasonable driving distance so you are limited to the hotel in the evenings for all practical purposes. Overall, outstanding and highly recommended for those who love the outdoors.

Fantastic hotel with wonderful spa which was free with a 4 night stay! Evening meal a bit pricey but excellent quality. Excellent buffet breakfast, but best of all - the views - breathtaking! Great location for the excellent hiking which is to be had in the mountains of Gran Canaria.

Comfort in the Mountains

Parador Cruz Tejeda has the best views on the island, which should be enough for anyone. Our room, and many of the rooms, look the same way over the rocky canyons stretching to the sea and Tenerife in the distance.
The spa costs extra to use and is small but they limit the number who use it at any one time, so it's peaceful. The little pool outdoors amongst the trees is lovely. The breakfast was fantastic with many choices and really good coffee.
It's a hiker's paradise as many trails start near the hotel. Otherwise there's not much to do in the area unless you have a car, but if you want comfort amongst nature and stunning scenery, this is the place.

Omgivelser og udsigt er i topklasse. Vi har aldrig oplevet noget smukkere. Alle skylder sig selv en overnatning og en solnedgang her. Mange fede vandrestier omkring og spaen er helt OK til at fordrive nogle timer. Vi var dog ikke så imponeret over restauranten - særligt betjeningen var ret ringe.

Wir hatten vier Doppel und ein Einzelzimmer gebucht.Einige Zimmer waren gut, andere schlecht.
Duschen war wegen der Balken der Schräge unmöglich, ein hochstehender Teppich vor dem Bett als Stolperfalle , kaputte Rollos, defekte Klima es war hundekalt
Die Dame am Checkin war klasse.
Im Restaurant hat man uns eine Flasche Wein zu viel auf die Rechnung gepackt, das wird erst vom Lager geprüft und kontte bei Abreise nicht erstattet werden.Frühstückszeit musste man angeben .Haben wir getan, das Buffet war aber noch nicht fertig.
Ansonsten eine gute Auswahl am Buffet
Das Abendeseen war auch sehr gut.
Der SPA Bereich ist super und die Massagen sehr gut, die Damen für den SPA Bereich sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Das Einzelzimmer war behindertengerecht gebucht und auch sehr gut und nicht so abgewohnt.
Die Cafeteria im Haus bietet nette Snacks und einen tollen Blick über die Berge

Utsikten er vanligvis ypperlig, men tåka kom dusse dager vi var der. Vi kunne derfor ikke gå våre turer i området. (været er selvsagt ikke hotellet sin feil. 😉)
Service og renhold var også godt. Koselig med en personlig velkomst på rommet ved ankomst. Vi ses i 2026.

Fantastiskt läge! Rummet var helt ok, utsikten magisk! Frukosten var kanon och det kändes väldigt fräscht att alla fick en egen tång att ta maten med. SPAt (och poolen) är lite dyr, men väldigt värt det efter en fin dag på hike! Kan varmt rekommendera att gå till Artenara, äta lunch och sen ta en taxi tillbaka till hotellet.

Excellent location in the mountains.

My room was on right under a conference room which apparently also is used for parties. Last night of my stay there was insane noice / party and personal loud fights until midnight. That I could have been without.
Staff is very helpful and kind and the location of the place is fantastic. Worth to visit.

Personel du petit déjeuner à revoir

A part une serveuse très désagréable qui nous quasi agressé au petit déjeuner (Clara C.) car au moment où nous sommes arrivés il n’y avait personne dans la salle du buffet, et seulement deux personnes attablées, donc en attendant nous avons fait le tour du buffet pour découvrir ce qui était proposé sans toucher à quoi que ce soit. Quand elle est arrivée elle nous a demandé de manière très sèche notre numéro de chambre sans même un accueil minimal. Ensuite d’autres clients sont arrivés avec qui nous avons remarqué qu’elle était gentille et leur servait même leur café à table. Lorsque mon compagnon lui a demandé s’il était possible d’avoir encore 2 cafés, elle a répondu que la machine etait là-bas, bref elle nous en voulait et a été très désagréable au point que je lui demande si il y avait un problème avec nous ? C’est alors qu’elle nous a dit que nous devions attendre à la réception d’être placé et que si il y avait personne c’est parce qu’elle était seule. Du jamais vu ! On s’est plaint au manager qui nous a dis qu’il allait lui faire par de notre mécontentement quant à son impolitesse. Mais n’ayant eu aucun retour, ni geste commercial je préfère mentionner cette mésaventure qui nous a coupé l’appétit et gâché la fin de notre séjour. Cependant et heureusement le reste du personnel a été très agréable et gentil. et l’hôtel est super, avec une vue époustouflante, il est conseillé de prendre également une session au Spa en supplément ne fut ce que pour les photos.

Pudo ser mucho mejor

Deja mucho que desear la amabilidad de las recepcionistas, además entiendo que se haga el desbroce a primera hora de la mañana para evitar altas temperaturas a los trabajadores, pero genera que a las 9 de la mañana dos destrozadoras te hagan madrugar. Dos detalles muy malos para un parador, por lo demás un sitio increíble.

Emplacement exceptionnel pour une vue exceptionnelle , cet hotel est unique dans la region pour les acces au \"pico de las nieves\" et au \"roque nublo\".
Le restaurant est correct et de bonne qualité pour le diner et le pdj.
Il n'y a que a espérer que le beau temps soit au rdv sinon....
