The property itself is wonderful—very clean, in a perfect location, and the room was exceptionally spacious for our family of two adults and two teenagers. We truly enjoyed our stay and found the accommodations comfortable and well-maintained.
The only downside was our experience with the staff. While visiting Florence, we met up with family members who briefly accompanied us to our room to drop something off. We were immediately approached by a staff member who informed us that we could not have visitors and could not bring additional bags into the room. The interaction felt unnecessarily abrupt and unwelcoming.
We explained that our family members were not staying at the property and were only dropping off belongings for us. We were surprised to be told that we needed permission for someone to enter the room or to bring in additional luggage. As paying guests, we felt the situation could have been handled more professionally and with greater courtesy. We were not causing any disturbance, and this occurred during the middle of the day—not during a party or disruptive gathering.
That experience left us feeling uncomfortable, which was unfortunate given how much we otherwise enjoyed the property. Potential guests may want to be aware of these policies in advance. Aside from this issue, the property is fabulous, and the location and accommodations are excellent.
