This is the only hotel in los banos that did not discriminate against my niece because of her financial status. I applaud them for this and would recommend everyone in this area to use this hotel instead of the other hotels in los banos.

STAY AWAY!

First off - they would not honor my Hotels.com reservation and charged me $30 more. While I wasn't expecting much, this place was the definition of a dump! Rust in the bathtub, towels were not even close to white. STAY AWAY!

I was given a room at the very back of the hotel. The room had no tissue in the restroom, no bed sheets on the bed, or linens on the bed at all. I couldn’t believe it. I was moved to another room, however that room had roaches crawling everywhere. Plus, after my experience in the first room I just didn’t feel comfortable staying at this place anymore. I will say the front desk staff were kind when I asked to check out only a hour after arriving. They also processed a refund for me. I will never stay here again though, or recommend it to anyone!

The concierge was professional. But the room was very very dirty. I have photos for proof of how inexplicably dirty it was. It seemed like the room was not cleaned since previous guests stayed. Plus what was more appalling was that there were two families on either side, seemed like one split into two rooms, which were so noisy, they were driving too 1am right outside our door and it seemed scary to us. Talking loudly, smoking right outside and drinking bottles of alcohol. When I reported to concierge, he said he knows about the noisy guests but he could not help the situation. Very very unprofessional and dirty hotel. Very disappointed that I spent$60 for such a bad experience with Expedia and red roof

I didn’t arrive till 115am n when I got there the front desk attendant wasn’t pleasant at all (maybe because it was so late, but that’s no excuse) then he puts me in the farthest room possible where a family checked in after me and apparently had rooms upstairs and downstairs from me and kept talking loudly back-and-forth at 2 AM also the TV didn’t work, the shower wall was ripped, the toilet paper was not placed in the holder, and the floor seemed incomplete it was missing some tile panels and the pool was closed. Slept fine but not till 330am when the family finally shut up!

There was nothing like.It was a horrible experience. I made a huge mistake by making a reservation online. The pictures really fool me. We got there midnight tired from a long drive. The lobby looked somewhat decent. But once we got to the room WOW a huge disappointment. The room was filthy it seemed like they haven’t washed the linens for months. There were blood spots on the wall. Flies everywhere. The bathtub had mold built in, so gross. I wanted to cry and get out of there.

The girl that works the front desk is very rude. I walked it and waited to get her attention and she was ignoring the fact that I was there. And to top it off it’s very ghetto. Their was garbage all over the floor pads, diapers, etc.....

Staff great, fixed card charge issue right away; room had: pubic hair on bathroom wall, recent hole in wall repaired - not painted, bathroom door frame broken recently repaired, exposed wiring where a smoke detector was, 1/4 of toilet paper - no spare and requested another roll which was brought up right away, bed lamp no on/off switch - plugged and unplugged to use, bath tub and soap holder missing sections of laminate - unreal!

Simply put, this is not the flagship Red Roof Inn, I hope. From cig burns and fluid stains on a bed spread, to the dilapidated bathroom shower and fixtures, I paid good money for a filthy hole.

Look somewhere else

I’m traveling for work. I’ve done Motel 6s and been fine with them. This was a whole other level. I’m sure there could be worse, but I don’t want to find out. I usually book 1 night to see how it is. I was out after one night. If you’re in Los Banos, look elsewhere. I found the New Star Inn to be well kept, even though on the old side.

Hotel looked nothing like the pictures, the bathroom desperately needs remodeling, it was dirty and moldy with flies everywhere. Towels were not clean, they were stained and stiff, good thing we carry towels. There was gum stuck on the bed frame, the couch was dirty with stains and no phone inside the room. The only good thing was the working AC and TV but didn't make up for the fact that people were super loud and no one was there to quiet the people down. Will never go back.

Front desk staff was helpful & nice.
Sign at check in counter that you have 30 minutes after check in to get a refund if you don’t like your room made me worry a bit.
Rooms are pretty large. Good TV with a good selection of movies (including HBO & Cinemax channels). It’s definitely not the hotel for clean freaks or germ phobias ...or people with black lights lol. There were flys alive and dead in the room, stains inside the toilet and bathtub (the Clorox cleaner plus bleach would be a good product for them). No soap to wash up with. Mattress protector was ripped with visible stains as were the sheets. The maids were nice in giving us some soap and additional towels. It was the lowest priced motel though at $50 a night. If you’re looking for cheap and able to deal with these issues it’s fine. Thank goodness the staff was nice as that would have definitely been a make it or break it on this trip.

Desk clerk and housekeeping personnel were polite and friendly, but otherwise, this was a regrettable choice of motels.

No towels upon initial check-in; ants in bathroom; bed only partly made; room partly unpainted; former general \"repairs\" done very poorly; badly in need of tub replacement; walls need small patching; painting, and other repairs; ice machine broken; and, motel guests on both sides of my room were loud and very active into late night and early morning.

Worst hotel ever

It was super dirty. They had multiple people living in the bottom floor rooms. Just a mess. The sheets were not clean. There was a hair on the towels. The grounds look like they have never been cleaned. The outside garbage was flowing over the top. We left didn’t even stay.

Room was clean, just a bit outdated. Not a destination hotel, but definitely convenient for an overnight stay, especially when traveling I-5. Room was very spacious, but the door to the adjoining room was not at all soundproof so we heard everything. No breakfast, but there’s coffee available.

New owners! They are really trying!

Red roof inn is a great hotel and franchise. For loss Ba is this is the best place. The owner checked us in, Raji… She was friendly helpful and appreciative. She explained they were new owners and we’re just getting the play started. Well they are off to a great start! On our way through town we will not stay anywhere else.

Dirty room

The least expensive place I found on I5 for a few hours of sleep, but it was too much to spend for a few hours. There was black hair in the lavatory, the TV didn't work (they did get it going), the heater did not work until they showed me a switch on the other side of the room, the floor was dirty. The manager was very pleasant and accommodating. Noisy adjoining and above occupants into the night, and again at 2:30 am.

how this motel has as high of a rating as it has is beyond me. room was very dirty. floor was not sweap or moped for long time. molding was not installed on floor phone in room not working. no microwave in room, no shampoo in room. very bad experience. the only good thing was the bed was comfortable. this motel shows no pride of ownership. i would not recommend the motel

Harassed by the staff!

I would not recommend the red roof to anybody! Horrible service to the max! I requested late check out at noon, I kid you not! Starting at 10:40 I started getting harassed by staff as far as checking out at 11 when I already had it set for noon. The manager and her crew harassed me for a full hour, calling my room, banging on my door, trying to open my door while I was getting dressed and looking thru cracks in the curtains. Even waiting at my truck for me. I called front desk to get the owners pine number and got told that, that was the owner at my door! While I was walking to my truck I was being yelled at the whole time by owner and staff. Spend a lil more money and stay somewhere else.. the red roof is awful!

Run down motel. Was not truthfull on ad. 50$ deposit not mentioned. Would not take showers. Bad looking tub and no mat. Two out of three lamps don't work. We had smoking room. Looked like a stripped room. No coffee. No microwave. No refrigerator. They said standard room doesn't get them. Blythe room was smoking and standard. Got all of them. Great motel that was. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Besides the convenient location I will alwsys choose the Red Roof Inn, because the couple that manages the hotel are simply wonderful people. I have never had a problem staying here. The rooms are very well cleaned and the overall service is great!

When we checked in, we weren’t greeted - the woman on duty just sat behind the counter (didn’t even stand) and asked for my ID and card. The door cards and readers are the kind that you have to scan 20 times to get just the right read before the door will open. Ten minutes after my tepid shower, the soles of my feet were black because the pseudo-wood floor was filthy. The “queen-sized” bed was so small that I almost fell out of it. There was a gun shot hole in the bathroom mirror. The amenities included small plastic pouches of shampoo, lotion, and soap. There were bugs flying around the bathroom during my shower. When we checked out, we had to wait in the cold for someone to come and unlock the “lobby” (which was not really a lobby - just a desk). It was a ridiculously bad stay.

When we arrive i couldn't check in because there was an \"error\" on my reservation, I had to cancel it and pay again to make another reservation but they told me no to worry because I will get my money back in 7 days (sarcasm), once I got the key of my room while I was getting my luggage i saw a lot of people outside of their rooms smoking weed, shirtless, they looked like \"cholos\". This hotels lacks of family friendly environment, the floor seems like wasn't been sweep for days, there were minimum like 10 flies in the room and I couldn't get rid of them, sink was clogged and the sheets of the bed didn't look and didn't feel clean, I slept with all my clothes on.
First and last time that I stay on this hotel and if somebody ask me which hotel do I recommend at Los Banos location the fist thing that I will say is \"STAY AWAY FROM LOS BANOS RED ROOF HOTEL IS DISGUSTING\".

Housekeeping needs improvement

We like the property, in addition the rate is affordable while in hard financial situation. Even is the room rate was free it should be spotless. Housekeeping really needs to make lots of improvements. It's nasty to find garbage under the bed. I wanted to rest but I chose to show you what clean means.

Who let the dog out?

I extended my stay one more day. While I was in I didn't want the room to be service for the house keeper carries a dog with her all the time. I've notice how the dog is let be on the bed. I chose to do my own cleaning and I only requested clean towels. One of the towels had urien from the dog and the house keeper didnt know when her pet wetted the towels.

The bed was comfortable, the T.V. & A.C. worked. The A.C. blew Cold Air. Which was Really Nice after being in 105° temperatures all day. But the Alarm Clock & the Lamps Didn't Work. The Tub was Filthy. There was Long Black Hair in the Tub. I have Short Blond Hair. My Boyfriend has Short Brown Hair. We hadn't even Showered yet. But, When I told the lady at the Front Fesl, her Reply was, \"I Don't Care!\"
Uhmmmmm.... You Don't Care? Really! Wow! She also said she Didn't Care if I left a Bad Review on Yelp. Ok. I Got it. You Don't Care About Your Guests. You should find work you Do care about..Because this job Isn't for You. You Should Care About Your Guests.

This is the first time I've stayed at a hotel where the trash cans in the room were not emptied and it looked like the sheets had not been cleaned. Also, there was quite a bit of ceiling paint repairs that were started, but not finished. The neighborhood was fair, nothing to rave about nor nothing to be afraid of.

You get what you pay for

The only redeeming quality of this hotel was the friendliness of its cleaning staff (I only interacted with one cleaning lady and she was very helpful).

The derelict pool was filled with old hotel furniture, there were roaches in the parking lot and our room, the floors, drapes, and chair were in desperate need of cleaning.

I would not recommend this place to anyone, but as my wife said \"you get what you pay for.\"

At least the owner called me in advance to explain they didn't have the rooms I booked online but they offered to switch the 2 rooms the next day (which they did, we were driving from SC to California, 3 adults, 3 kids & a dog). WiFi was horrible. Rooms were so dirty, socks/feet were black after walking wood floors, we went to the local supermarket to purchase cleaning supplies. The hotels in the area were all completely booked, so didn't have other choices. One room had partial mariunna joint left on the bathroom counter & 2 dead mice stuck to glue paper behind the nightstand. I had to walk to the office, calmly complain to the clerk after calling numerous times. The owner likes to hang out with the fellas outside the lobby so phone was never answered. The owners wife was very nonchalant about the dead mice. No offering of disinfectant, cleaning, discount, nothing, just picked it up, put it in a store plastic bag to dispose. Our tv didn't work(both rooms) until the owner came to fix it. Towels were filthy, luckily we had our own. After thoroughly bleaching entire rooms down, we managed. We washed regularly on the premises while on our 5 day trip. No kind of breakfast offered in the lobby which reeked of an odd smell, thank goodness we weren't relying on that. I believe the owners live on the premises. Pool area run down & out of order. Needless to say, we won't be staying here in the future. The young Hispanic lady at the front desk was nice.

First of all our room wasnt ready ..we were given another room. We were not notified the pool was and is broken and wont be fixed..when we checked in .we were locked out of our room 2 times because of bad communication at the front desk. Paper Thin Walls - if you want sleep GOOD LUCK!

Walls are PAPER THIN- you'll hear everything, and I mean EVERYTHING (i.e. a 10 second lovemaking session next door!). You will also hear and feel people walking down the hallway all hours of the night. Wouldn't be a bad place if the walls were thicker - seriously, we got no sleep :(

Horrible Hotel!

This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. The only reason I stayed here was to watch the NCAA finals and the TV was so fuzzy that I could hardly see it. The front desk did send down a handy man who jiggled the cords and made it a tiny bit better. The bedspread had burn marks and huge stains on it but the worst was the condition of the sheets. HUGE, gross stains and burn holes - I really should have left but my handicap mother was exhausted so we powered through. Showed the photos to the front desk girl the next day who assured me the manager would call but have yet to hear from anyone. Don't drive 15 miles off I-5 when Santa Nella is only 9 miles further and has rooms for similar prices!

All bad

They charged extra at the window 4 the room I booked, jacuzzi didn't work, floors were nasty, tawels had stains, phone didn't work and the people upstairs were loud all night non stop.. when I went to the office after midnight to ask the manager to ask the people to keep it down, he asked if I wanted to wake up my kids and move to a different room..

Overall the stay was good but it was noisy. They do need to do some pest control. Beds need updating bc they were rock hard.

!!!!!

Do not stay here!!!

First, the room was prepaid and the person at the desk tried to make me pay again. After a lengthy argument, he realized he was WRONG. Second, there was blood on the a/c controls and old blood stains on a towel. Last, there were people sleeping in a van and dope heads wondering the parking lot at night. This place was terrible.

this place sucks. completely filthy. tons of bugs, including roaches ants and at least 50 little flying bugs. despite the fact that i had already paid, the woman argued with me, even after i showed her the hotels.com email that said i had paid AND i showed her my online bank statement that had both rooms' costs already taken out. eventually her husband sorted it out after over-explaining every detail and she apologized- they were cordial after that, but really who cares at that point. not my first issue with red roof inns booked through hotels.com. done with red roof forever probably hotels.com too.
