I stayed there on 08/10 and the place was disgusting. The bathroom had a used bar of soap in the shower and no toilet paper. The space was extremely dirty, and the bedsheets were stained with what looked like urine. I even had to go to the store to buy clean sheets and bedding just to get through the first night. The only reason I stayed the first night was because the entire town was sold out for a football game. This is far below basic hospitality standards. In my opinion, no one should stay here due to health concerns.

I did not check in because the hotel lobby was locked and the man who greeted me required that I walk to a nearby gas station to use my credit card there to check in. The gas station at that time was a crime scene with numerous police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances present. Crime scene tape surrounded the property. Police were still there an hour later when I left the area and stayed at Motel 6 (which I booked through Expedia).

Got to the room and it had roaches in the bed and on the walls in the bathroom. Sheets were stained on the bed and smelled like mold. Tried to get a refund for the stay and was denied. I took photos and videos. This place needs a health and safety review.

The hotel is in need of roof repairs, the pool is non functioning and full of green water, the room looked nothing like the picture on the website. The hotel was generally quite run down.

My friend was concerned about the cleanliness of the bedding. We kept our shoes on while in the room and did not use the shower. The room had a coffee maker that was sitting on the floor under the bathroom sink.

The cash or cash app only type of payment should have been a red flag.

The guy behind the desk was cool for check in. We went in the room the sheets and wash cloths were dirty asked for new ones had to go get them. The beds were stained and worn. Went to take a shower a roach came from behind the shower head. That’s all … umm I’m not sure if I would stay again ….

This was a uniquely terrible hotel; if you have a need to stay in a gritty, trashed room to start your detective story, this is for you.

The room was messy, odd and concerning stains on everything, the ac was ripped off the wall, the mirror was torn off, bath room had a moldy towel just festering for ambiance, the fire detector was hanging from the ceiling. It would be shocking if that it had ever been cleaned.

Upside is you pay in cash, exclusively cash which is wild but i suppose no paper trail. I have stayed in tents in the army that were nicer and for sure cleaner.

The bed although comfortable was held up by cinder blocks. No top sheet on the bed just the cover. 1 towel, my husband had to askfor towel, shampoo and soap. Although breakfast was offered they had no milk for the cereal, no batter for the waffles, no creamer.

This isn’t a hotel, they have permanent quest and the only reason we got a room was the booking through Expedia. When we arrived on the door they had a sign for no rooms available. No towels in the room. You could also see lights on behind the walls and through cracks near the fixtures in the shower.

The facility has changed ownership and has outside access to the rooms. People are standing outside, not a comfortable feeling when traveling alone. I don’t believe hotel.com is aware of this, this is not reflected in the hotel info on the booking site. The hotel looks abandoned, I passed it 3 times thinking it was not in service. There was also no link to the reservation I placed through hotels.com, I had to pay cash or cash app. It did have electricity and running water, very disappointed, not used to this standard of hospitality.

This property is by far the worst hotel, actually motel I’ve ever stayed. The exterior condition of the building and grounds looked like a movie set for The Walking Dead and the I terior of the room was no better. Cigarette burns on the furniture and bed spreads, red clay on the carpet, holes in the walls and the fire alarm was dangling from the ceiling, smoke stained like ceiling of an old bar. There were three cars in the parking lot with flat tires and broken windows. Needless to say, we didn’t feel terribly safe. At check in I was forced to pay cash; had I not booked the room online and been past the cancellation date, I’d have immediately driven away and booked a room at ANY other hotel. Hotels.com should eliminate this property from their listings as it’s not worthy of being called a hotel!

I’ve stayed in old road side motels before. But this place was by far the scariest and dirtiest I’ve ever seen. Upon arriving, we were actually surprised it was open. It looked abandoned with derelict cars and what looked like homeless people squatting in the rooms.

I checked in for one night at this location, August 2023.
The first room had a very strong and unpleasant odor.
-The furniture and bed sheets were stained.
-The blanket had holes burned into it.
When I notified the front desk of my observations, I was switched to a new room.
-There was a slightly less pungent unpleasant odor.
-The furniture and bedding were stained.
-The shower curtain was covered in mold.
-I observed one roach in the bathroom and three others on the refrigerator.
I immediately checked out. I was promised a full refund. It has yet to arrive.

The owners don’t seem to wash sheets, update the rooms in anyway. The room was stinky from the second I walked in. The bar in the shower was disconnected and broken off the wall, and a couple spiders were living in the tub. There wasn’t even a light bulb in one of the overhead lamps above the bed. A guy came over to put a bulb in, with a damn hot dog in one of his hands! Gross! Put down your lunch and wash your hands before helping a guest out! The towels had stains on them and the sheets had hair on them. The last straw was when I couldn’t even get into my room because the battery to the door lock for the key card was apparently dead. The only thing I could do was check into another room, and who knows what that room would smell like and what cracks in the tub and spiders in the shower I would find. I just opted to check out and they wouldn’t even refund my final day. It is their fault with the battery. The family running the place seem like nice people but they are way in over their heads trying to run a hotel that they seem to not even try to update and keep clean. Steer clear unless you don’t mind sleeping in sheets that may not have been washed before you checked in for your reservation.

There were roaches, holes in the wall and microwave was rusted. When my daughter sat on the bed the leg to the bed broke (it was being held in place with a small piece of wood) so we had to share a bed. The carpet in half the room was soaking wet from a leak and the employee wouldn't answer the door to office or answer the phone. We stopped after driving for 16 hours so we didn't have energy to go somewhere else. This place is not suitable for stays. It needs to be removed from the site.

Only thing I wish is I could rate this hotel at zero stars. All of the photos online are completely fraudulent. I would guess at one time when this hotel was actually a Springwood vs the Oyo hotel that it is now it may have been nicer. What you will find upon arrival is the closest thing to drug hotel without being one. The fact that its not a condemned property is absolutely amazing. We managed to find it within ourselves to enter our room just to find out it is as bad as It appears from the outside. Including dirty remade beds, dirty towels in the bathroom and hair on the toilet. Please do not waste your money. This hotel is a complete scam.

Terrible experience. Found bed bugs. Let us leave and have us his card and told us Expedia would issue a refund. However it was a pay at the site setup - hotel processed my card so Expedia can’t issue a refund. Hotel refuses to issue refund. Overall property in poor condition. Maintenance guy came into lobby while we were checking in and sat a toilet plunger on the floor of the lobby after we just overheard there was a toilet backup in someone’s room. Had to leave and pay more than 2x more for another room at a nearby hotel. Expedia should not host this hotel - makes Expedia look bad.

Place is horrible. Mattress was smaller than boxspring and you could see stains on boxspring. Shower had rusted towel holder, a hole in the ceiling where a light used to be, major glue or some substance stain all over the tub and around the shower mat. Room smelled of mildew. TV had no power. It was plugged into an extension cord that was thru a rough looking hole in the wall. I unplugged from that and plugged into the wall socket below it and the TV finally worked.

And then to top it off. I went to check out on sunday morning and there was a sign saying \"OPEN @ 9AM\". The note next to it said nothing about what to do for check out if they are not there.

I wanted to check out at 7am and had to wait around another 2 hours! Then when they open and turn in my key, I ask the guy behind the desk how to check out when no one is there. He stated to push his sign in the window aside and leave the key....I asked why this wasnt on his sign and I got shrugged shoulders....

The name of the hotel where the Springwood inn was supposed to be was the Oyo Hotel. There was not a desk person in the office when we arrived and others were waiting as well.

The property did not look like what was advertised on Expedia. The outside looked really bad. It appears that parts of the hotel were used for people living there as opposed to renting a room.

It may be that the hotel used to be the Springwood Inn and it is now being renovated to the Oyo Hotel - or it could be vice-versa.

This facility was built around the 1950s and is simply not maintained to current safety, livability and hygienic standards. The odor of a scent spray was so strong that our throats became sore after an hour. The floor in the bathroom sunk at least 1/4 inch when stepped on. There was no tissue or hygienic materials (soap, shampoo, etc). I have an issue on payment. I was told that I had to pay when I also paid to Expedia. We left after the second room was rejected for a fire alarm that beeped every 25 seconds. This failitly should be shut down.

I knew better but due to Auburn having their graduation, everyone in town, a $85 room was now $230 it was worth a shot.

I was on the second floor around to the side near the interstate (literally on 85) when i pulled around and saw most of the room doors left open to let them air out. Theres two options, smoking or smoking
(the switchup is in your choice of what to smoke and Tobacco and Marihuana are not the top two)

Springwood Inn and OYO Motels are the same motel (location)

If its too cold or wet outside, this is your next best choice.
