What an absolutely fantastic hotel. Loved our stay here and in Kaoshiung. We wished we would have stayed longer.

We had access to breakfast daily which was varied and plentiful. The staff were always so kind and helpful.

We also took advantage of the downstairs lounge which offered beverages and light snacks, mostly sweet but some salty, such as congee.

The room was well appointed and spacious. The only drawback for other guest who may not be a couple or close family might be the unique bathroom layout. The room was a full open concept. Bedroom bathroom all in one and exposed. Privacy was established with a heavy curtain and a mechanical black out shade. It didn't bother me at all, but it may be an issue for others.

If we ever come back to Kaoshiung we will stay here again, without question!

It’s a beautiful hotel. Great rooms and accommodating. My one hang up is the hotel staff at the front desk has ice in their veins. I have never been treated so coldly checking into a hotel before and I’ve travelled all around Asia. Maybe that was just the couple employees I was dealing with at the time and the rest are great, I’m not sure. Overall though, it was a great stay.

進房都還沒使用浴室,就發現排水口有一搓頭髮,然後洗手台上的鏡子竟然有前房客擠痘痘噴到的痕跡.晚上泡澡時,起身的時候,手摸到的地方竟然油油的,實在很誇張.一個晚上七千多的價錢卻是這種品質,實在讓人失望至極.

Too Notch Place

If you live a modern feel and look well, this place is for you! From the moment you enter the lobby all the way to your room the place screams “Beautiful”. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms are spacious. The amenities are plentiful and bathroom space is open.

I love everything about this place and will always stay anytime I’m in Kaohsiung.

Fantastic hotel. The bathtub with whirlpool function was probably the highlight of the room but the 24/7 cafe downstairs was really great for getting a late-night snack without having to leave the hotel. The staff were all courteous and professional. I would definitely stay here again.

A very stylish hotel with spacious room (suite room type), 24 hours snacks bar is very good to those who loves to eat, drinks/fruits/cakes are available.There is free laundry (self-service) near the gym room, helpful to the long stay guests.
Jacuzzi bathtub is the most perfect facility that I enjoyed with seasalt provided, while only one small bag which is not really enough.
The staff are very professional, friendly and helpful, I'm sure you will experienced it since you step in the hotel.

The only thing that I'm not happy is you can see the mosquito, at least every time I goto the basement snacks bar; then lobby.... and most annoying is mosquito at my room. Will be good if the hotel could find a way to solve this issue.

Better than I thought

Better then than I thought. Rooms were big and clean. The best part I liked about this hotel was, its 24 hours “free” Tea Area which offers lots of food options along with tea or coffee. They have fruits, bread, munchies, yogurt and many other things in the coffee area. Morning breakfast had lots of selection including order to make eggs. I strongly recommend this place.

Generally it was very pleasant. The room has a bit of a strange design that is prevalent in taiwan, namely that the toilet and shower are part of the same room as the bed and separated only by a curtain.
Where the hotel really shined was the breakfast buffet and the staff service.

The Starhaus hotel was absolutely beyond amazing. The weather was quite intense with rain for most of our stay. With that kind of weather , this is the hotel to stay ! We did not want to leave the hotel because of the amazing breakfast buffet , 24 hour snack bar , and the amazing spa like oasis this entire hotel provided. The staff were beyond amazing ; when the 24/7 snack bar was closed for our second night due to maintenance they offered to bring up any snacks and teas to our room. The jacuzzi tub was beyond fantastic and such a great treat especially walking around Taipei for 2 days prior. The first day we checked in it was my wife’s birthday, the amazing staff had a beautiful birthday present waiting for her ! Thank you Starhaus for this amazing experience !

Great interior design in the entire hotel. Great breakfast and it is such a treat to have 24 hr snack buffet available to guests. Also love the bathtub with jacuzzi. Fantastic friendly and helpful service by the staff.
Would have prefered bed to have firmer mattress tho. And if fitness centre cd have a treadmill and open till 11pm, wd have been nicer. Also no need to change soap bar and slippers daily - a bit of a waste.

Default Choice in Kaoshiung

This is the second time that we chose to stay in this fabulous hotel. The deep soak jacuzzi tub is -certainly welcoming after a tiring day couple with the in-room free mini-bar.

Location is great, next to Hanshen shopping mall. You may catch its free shuttle bus to the nearest Central Park MRT station.

Overall, a great hotel to stay in Kaoshiung and will be our default choice if the hotel maintain the same service level and upkeep.

A new and modern boutique hotel

Room size is not big but adequate and it is very clean. Hotel female front desk staff were friendly and courteous. The male staff need to learn from the female staff about greeting and providing better guest service. The best part of this hotel is the restaurant/lounge. There are plenty of good quality beverages, snacks, desserts, salad and fruits in the lounge for guests to enjoy at all time. Breakfasts are excellent and service are good too.

Hotel is very close to the \"Love River\" and we enjoyed the walk along the river side (the section where people board the river cruise). We encountered three friendly stray dogs when we walked along the river side (one homeless guy is the \"owner\" of two stray dogs) and we bought can dog foods from a nearby Seven-Eleven store and brought drinks, fruits and snacks to that homeless guy (he is friendly).

Tip: We went to the nearby Ambassador hotel for Peking duck dinner and it was a big disappointment. 70 US dollars for one duck and the taste was not good. If you want to walk along the river side; please bring some food with you for the stray dogs.

This hotel is better than some big, luxury hotels without the higher room price.

Fantastic hotel! 24 HR snack bar was great, room deco was modern and bathroom was pretty big. Free Pringles and small bag of Doritos were complementary along with 2 bottles of water. By the way, if you have large luggage, suggest catching a cab as it was a ten min walk to the hotel from the MRT station. Would definitely stay here again next time!

Nice modern boutique hotel near Love River and Kaohsiung. Loved the contemporary design, great breakfast, and small touches like the jet tub and air infuser in the hallway. Wished there was a pool but did like the new execise room. Washer was nice but dryer took three hours for clothes to dry.

5 star quality hotel in a reasonable price

The room was really big with 2 king beds, seldom can we find a hotel with these kind of beds. And the bedddings, pillows and comforter are all of high quality. The bathroom jacuzzi was so great, separate shower and toilet area so 2 people can use it at the same time. And the free 24 hours cocktail and drinks are also very convenient. Breakfast buffet is superb! My best hotel stay so far!

Overall of the hotel was great! Room size was a bit small cos bathroom takes up half the space. Bathtub was amazing! Have a wide selection for breakfast. The only fault I can find is the distance to the train station. Walking takes around 10mins, however there is a mall next to the hotel. Can make use of the free shuttle bus to the train station.

Relatively new hotel.. never stayed in this brand, but very pleasantly surprised... boutique, excellent room decor and cleanliness.. all high end touch (Toto badet in our room) and electronic curtain separating room & bathroom... common areas very nicely decorated. Lobby nicely appointed... 24 hour snack bar free... free breakfast is a plus (great food selection). Staff hospitable and work hard to please (initiative to help with luggages, etc.)... if one complaint, they insisted my 3 yr old must pay for the breakfast too (which is a bit annoying but rate is reasonable). Overall would recommend and stay again

Room modern with a nice bed, great bathroom, no windows or drawers for clothing. There is no workout facilities or bar area if you want to have a drink or socialize. Great for a short stay, one or two nights if you aren't going to need to spend much time there beyond staying in the room at night.
