Good hotel in central Kaohsiung. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. I had room with separate toilet room with a sink, which was great. However hotel is getting too expensive for what it offers. Most rooms have no view or terrible view breakfast is underwhelming.

My husband and I traveled to Taiwan to see family. We stayed at the Indigo for 2 weeks in a premier room. The room was very large, clean and comfortable. There were free water bottles, snacks, tea, tea kettle, nespresso machine and plates/cups. The wi-fi signal was strong and the desk setup was comfortable for working remotely. The daily housekeeping was excellent. Towels and bathrobes were great. The room was on the third floor but was still very quiet. The automated blackout curtains were excellent. Plenty of areas to plug in devices and USB ports. Breakfast buffet was excellent with wide range of Chinese and Western breakfast options. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good English. They were able to assist with restaurant reservations and emergency dentist appointment. Nice rooftop bar with great views. Coffee shop in lobby area has great espresso drinks and friendly staff. The location is excellent and centrally located. The train station is right out front. Lots of restaurants and shops in the neighborhood including an alley of Japanese themed restaurants. Area was well lit, safe and walkable. Central Park was beautiful, clean and well decorated for the Christmas holiday. Ubers easily found the hotel and plenty around in the area. Rarely ever had to wait more than a couple of minutes. Walking distance to several night markets and department stores. We would definitely stay here again next time in Kaohshiung. Thank you so much for a great 2 weeks.

Hotel is conveniently located on a the Red MRT line. The Liuhue night market is also within walking distance. There are also many other night market and stores in the area. Hotel staff are friendly and courteous. Rooms are huge and very clean. Would stay here again, and would highly recommend.

The metro station is right next to the hotel which is pretty convenient. Plenty of eating options but probably not as much if you nearby the high speed rail station. I would stay again for the price and size of the room.

A stay that impressed the whole family!

Located steps from Central Park station, a few metro stops away from the Taiwan HSR if arriving from Taipei, is Hotel Indigo. The reception foyer *felt* smaller than typical hotels, we found the lobby awkward to sit around waiting for friends as everything looked too prestigious to loiter around. The hotel was decked out with a Barbie themed setup during our stay, with the remaining hotel decor design-forward, quirky and eclectic (in a good way).

Our room was really a suite - it was massive. With a fully separate living room area, 2 workstations, a walk-in closet, closed off bathroom & shower space, plus two queen beds plus walking space - the thoughtfulness of design is a fan favourite in our books. Not to mention, the bedding was SO comfortable (still the best sleep I had over our 40+ day trip).

Everyone I travelled with were coffee snobs, we went for coffee around Taiwan everyday but nothing hit the spot. We aren't fans of Nespresso at home but the excitement to find a Nespresso machine in our room brewing fresh shots of espresso really hit the spot.

Our stay at Hotel Indigo was wonderful - from convenience of the location itself, to friendly FOH staffing, to every detail put into the design of the rooms - our short was too short, I did not want to leave! Nonetheless, this is now our premier choice when in Kaohsiung, we can't wait to be back!

A nice hotel in an excellent location on the park. The front desk staff were very helpful and kind. They were the strongest point of my experience there.

The pink Barbie-esque lobby theme when we were there was a bit tacky, and the terrazzo flooring in the room was harsh during daylight hours; but the bathroom was lovely, with a fabulous big tub with a city view.

Beautiful — But Beware Windowless Rooms

This hotel is lovely, but it to be more upfront about which room categories do not have windows. Every other hotel that I saw listed in Taiwan on this site includes the \"NO WINDOWS\" explanation prominently in the title of the room category for those that don't have windows. This hotel does not — they bury that detail way down in the list of amenities like hairdryers. We very carefully avoided booking rooms with no windows in every other Taiwan hotel, but since this hotel doesn't make it clear in the title of the room category, we had the very unpleasant surprise of finding ourselves in a room with no window and no natural light. This site and this hotel need to make the way this information is listed more consistent and easy to understand. Other than that, this is a lovely and well designed hotel.

Used as part of a 3 night stay in Taiwan's second city. The hotel location was next to both a metro station and all the main shopping streets and markets. It was modern, new and the room was spacious with a great view of Central Park. This is a great option if visiting the city by rail, road or high speed rail.

Second time in this hotel and definitely not the last. Love everything about this place. From the people that work there to the amenities used in the rooms. The soaps are to die for. All staff speak English and always makes you feel special. Check in at front desk is a breeze, staff on the rooftop, Sean and Duke plus all the others are amazing, the staff at breakfast attentive and remembers you. The location is fantastic. I can go on and on. Recommend it in a heartbeat.

It was not clear that I can’t really choose if the room would come with two single bed or a king bed. They tried to make a call to inform me there’s no room for a double bed a day before check in but I didn’t get the call.
It’s very strange that they can’t guarantee a room with a double bed for me even I booked it 2weeks earlier. The staff eventually downgraded my room so I can have a double bed. It’s pretty bad experience and all I got was just an apology while this had make me to wait for 20mins at the front desk.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The room was perfect, they’ve thought of everything right down to the soap bag for you to take your unfinished soap with you (never seen this before). I also really appreciated the automatic blackout blinds. It’s all the small touches that really make a difference. The staff were fantastic! The rooftop bar was really great and had a wonder atmosphere. I spent a few nights dinning there. The location was also good, a few minutes walk from the MTR station and you could take a single train from the High Speed Rail station or Airport without having to transfer. I will definitely be back.

Very nice and trendy hotel. Front desk staff are helpful and friendly. Rooms are nicely designed. Clean and trendy. The pressure of the shower was awesome. The roof top bar is a must visit. Location is excellent. It is right above the MRT Central Park Station. Shopping and night market is just right around the corner. Liuhe night market is only one station away. It is only 6 MRT stations away from the Kaoshiung International Airport. The only downside of the room is that the sound proof is not as good as it could be, perhaps because I was on a lower floor.

Overall we had an excellent 5 night stay at this hotel. The only downside was when we had arrived about an hour and a half before the 3pm check-in time and they did not have our room available for us. When the room was finally ready, the air conditioner just wasn't cooling the room down. We were told to wait a bit but it was still the same temp at 26C and hotter in the room than in the hallway over an hour later. We then were told they were working on it but after over 90 minutes, they offered to give us another room. They offered us a room upgrade for free for the inconvenience. From then on, we had a wonderful stay. All the staff were very helpful and professional, from the front desk to the housekeeping and those working the breakfast buffet or at the rooftop bar. The rooftop bar was cool and the breakfast buffet had a large variety of Taiwanese and western food. The gym was small but had decent equipment although the air temp could've been much cooler. They also had umbrellas at the ready by the front door on the days it was pouring. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in Kaohsiung.

Convenient and Comfort Hotel

The location of the Hotel at the Central Park MRT Station is very convenient for travel. The hotel is in the vicinity of shopping areas which are good for our shopping. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly, particularly Terry and Ruby, who have provided much assistance to us in arranging a hotel room that suited our request in the midst of full booking of the hotel. Will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and stay in this hotel again.

Great unique and spacious rooms. We encountered one problem in the morning hours when the sun came up where the room had very loud popping noises, most likely from the heat making the building material expanding.

The gym at the 3rd floor was also very well maintained, the water and apple was a very very good idea.

One area to improve is the bathroom where the sink and the shower area is quite old and rusty, or some areas have turned green.

it is next to the underground station which is a direct line from the airport. The unique decor of each room is also interesting. The rooms have a thermostat but the central air-conditioning cannot be controlled. the room was therefore constantly colder than what i wanted it to be.

Our hotel room had a putrid odor that would periodically present itself in waves. It smelled like stale urine mixed with a nasty burp. The odor was also present in my parent’s room. It even got to the point where we had to put a wet towel over the drain in the bathroom with the hope of blocking the source of the foul odor. That being said, the room service dinner menu had the best burger we have had so far in Taiwan.

2 nights in deluxe king room. We were given a room on 13th floor. Beautiful huge room with huge bathroom with full height windows. However, found out too late the hotel bar was on the floor above us. 1 sleepness night when music was booming till almost 2am. Also bothered by cigarette smell coming in from air vents. For a full non-smoking hotel, non-smoking rule was not enforced at all. When we complained, another room was arranged for 2nd night. Reception very nicely apologized with complimentary champagne, fruit and snacks. Sincere and genuine service. Need improvement on water pressure and cleaniness in shower room.
