Nowhere to unpack your clothes ( no drawers or shelves), no hooks in the bathroom to put towels, no tv info, basically no help from anyone. The bed was comfortable, the room was super clean and the restaurant was really good but pricey. The whole experience was overpriced.

We paid a fortune for a room and they offered us a late check out which was really nice. We are getting married in two days and we have family in town sleeping everywhere at our place. Kids running around from the early morning. We just needed a quiet night and a chance to sleep in to 9:30/10. This hotel was an expensive HUGE mistake. They started doing construction between 7 and 8 AM in the room above us. We could hear furniture being dragged and knocked over and hammers pounding and it was awful. For three hours, we endured it with earplugs and pillows over our head. The front desk was useless when we mentioned it to them. Their response was oh we can waive the $30 resort fee. What resort? We arrived at 8:30 and everything was closed. We had to walk to a bar down the street just to get a drink before bed. I don’t think I’ve ever been angrier with how disrespectful it was to offer a $30 waiver on a resort fee when we had such an awful experience. There’s some serious training that needs to happen with the front desk staff that they think that something like that is OK. Again, avoid this place at all costs. They clearly only want your money and they don’t give a crap about your experience.

This hotel was in a great location close to many great shops and restaurants. The on site restaurant Marco Polo was also really good. Service could have been better. There was a rooftop event one afternoon and it is amazing how many people can fit into that pool. But even without the events going on pool service was lacking and they were out of towels at one point. I also didn't get any \"VIP Access Hotel\" in-stay perks. But I would stay again for the great location. Room was also nice and not too small for my husband and I.

Nice little find with plenty to do within walking distance. The already small pool becomes much smaller with day pass-non-hotel guests and perhaps a luggage rack or bench or someplace to put your luggage on might be a nice addition. But enjoyed the large chic room & updated bath; although the platform bed and my shin had a not-so-nice moment. Ouch.

The restaurant lost my credit card and I ended up cancelling it after a full day of not being able to locate it, but when I went to check out the next day they had found it. I thought they handled it poorly and communication between staff and the guest was awful.

Great little restaurant, small pool. Not located anywhere near anything walkable except The Eagle. That's it. Walls are paper thin and the floors aren't carpeted-only small rugs, so if you're on floor 1 or floor 2 you'll hear EVERYTHING -walking, talking, phone calls and even snoring. That's how thin the walls are that's how poorly insulted the floors are. Extremely overpriced for what you get. I'd spend the same and go west to Beverly Hills or Westwood. I've stayed here a few times and have learned my lesson. Not worth it.

If you're going to The Eagle-this hotel is right next door-otherwise you're really not walking distance to anything. Great little restaurant and bar and pool. But the big problem is that the walls are paper thin, and you can hear everything that is going on above or beside you. The floors have small rugs, but they still allow for you to hear every step, phone call, conversation that happens above you including snoring. I've stayed here a few times, and the only way I'd go back is if I was confirmed the top floor. But I won't return. The hotel is pricey and doesn't offer the value to price. For the same price you'd get Way more heading west to Beverly Hills or Century City, then take an Uber to Silver Lake if you want to investigate this great part of town.

Amazing Location and Super Cool!

Awesome location, super cool property, great bar and restaurant, and the rooms are HUGE! Loved the experience and for Silver Lake it's the best spot.

The pool is a bit smaller than we expected for it to be the heart of the hotel and it gets CROWDED fast, with not a ton of shade even with the umbrellas.

You have to request housekeeping, which is fine, but not something they shared up front. But the rooms are clean with a ton of space.

A couple of odd things, with so much space there are no storage areas at all for your clothes or bags other than a very small closet that would only hold a few things on top of the safe. But the room has enough space to put things where you need to.

It's a lovely little spot in a super fun part of town, we'll definitely stay here again.

I hesitated posting a negative review but I found the service with the manager to be a little off putting. The hotel itself is so so. Very noisy if you’re on the street side (I could hear cars driving all night) and the walls are very thin (I could hear the room next to us partying all night and they weren’t that loud but coming and going all night long. I could hear their conversations. The hotel looks better online than in person. Definitely an Instagram job. It’s an old motel with a quick paint job and some houseplants. The ubiquitous turntable was the only thing missing. Pool is small and crowded. Bathroom is funky as sink is in the main room not in the bathroom. But what was really annoying was after I requested to check out a day earlier (I endured 2 awful nights’ sleep but had to leave town earlier than anticipated) and was given permission by the front desk (all of whom were very nice and friendly), the general manager Gilbert refused to grant me my refund until I groveled and kissed his a**. Very much amateur hour to go along with the amateur hotel. I wouldn’t recommend given the price. It seems very expensive for what it is. I would recommend other hotels in Silver Lake.

Great little property. Love the rooms but they need to fix the bathroom doors (at least the one in 104)--it's way too hard to open and close. Maybe it needs to be oiled? There was leftover food in the fridge when we checked in, and that really grossed me out. Other than that, it's really a nice place and I'll stay again. The restaurant is amazing.

This property is a hidden gem. The renovation is beautiful and tasteful. The bar/restaurant was great. Wish I had the recipe for the delicious cucumber and avocado salad. My room was comfortable and nicely furnished. My only complaint was the noise. I could hear other guests moving around in the hallway and the room above me. Not sure if it was noisy guests (so a one-time thing) or just bad insulation which would make it an ongoing problem. I moved from a hotel that was close by but felt less safe and it was well worth the effort and extra expense.

I booked the hotel for four nights, arriving on a Sunday in blistering heat, looking forward to the pool. I arrived to find the max occupancy of 19 pool crammed with 30 or 40 people. Perhaps 100 were in the pool area. These were not guests but day trippers. You could see the water was not really clean and I was told I should wait several hours for it to be shocked. The hotel also skimped on basics: No drawers anywhere, tiny mirror in bathroom and small waste paper baskets in bathroom but none elsewhere AND no stand on which to put one's suitcase---I was told these were only available upon request. Really? Lots of small things....besides hot water took a long time at my end of the building and noisy nighttime deliveries to the next door supermarket. The poor staff had to deal with stupid cheap decisions of the owners/management

Extremely thin wall, we could hear the room next door’s conversation entirely, really poor insulation. I asked for a fan and they didn’t have. There’s no breakfast and no gym. So essentially a nice hostel with a nice pool and restaurant. In a very convenient area for Silver Lake and exploring that part of LA and close to Griffith observatory. The best thing about this stay was Carlos the valet. Truly fantastic guy!

When I was checking in a woman caught a cockroach in her room. The hotel staff was quick to help her remove it, but not what I wanted to hear upon check-in.

They mentioned that it was not safe to park our car on the street in front of the hotel overnight because there have been multiple car break-ins. Wasn't sure if they just wanted me to pay for parking but it worked.

I'm from NYC, so the roach and car break-ins didn't phase me and I actually had a pretty nice stay.

Rarely was there staff present at desk at normal hours of operations. Staff was quite cold if not rude during basic interactions. Window shades were broken. No flat sheet on bed. Only drinking water provided was an inordinately expensive add on cost. Refrigerator not cold. Incredibly expensive for the level of service and amenities provided. Would not recommend. This is by far the best hotel I’ve stayed at . The rooms are large as is the bathroom . It is spotless and beautifully maintained . I love the pool and the food at the Marco Polo restaurant is excellent . What makes this hotel especially unique is Gilbert the hotel manager , Miquel and Yun . Every request was taken care of . I cannot commend this hotel enough . In addition , it’s only a few blocks away from Sunset Blvd !

The property itself is stunning.
The restaurant staff was super friendly and lovely.
Conveniently located next to main area of Silverlake.
Room design is beautiful and the rooms are very spacious.

Con's:
If you are a light sleeper, I would highly suggest sleeping on the side of the hotel that isn't on the Santa Monica Blvd side. It is loud being next to a grocery store and I was awoken every morning (around 5am) by delivery trucks and cars flying by throughout the night.

I didn't love that they charged for water for the room and the hotel didn't have a water station anywhere.

There were a few days when coffee pods weren't refilled. Additionally, the mugs used for the Nespresso are too small, and the coffee pours over every time.

The hotel is in an excellent location, restaurant is also very good, although menu selections were few. The hotel rooms are nosy facing the street because of the close proximity of the front of the hotel to the street and very thin walls in-between rooms, heard guests talking and \"OTHER\" activity in next room. This is our 2nd time staying at the hotel and it was very disappointing from our first stay, we had no housekeeping services for our 3 night stay even though we left the housekeeping services sign on our door each time we left the room for our day. We informed the front desk and they were very apologetic, but it happened each day thereafter. I think next time, we will stay in an Air BNB.

The property was in a great location. However it was over priced. At over $500 a night, all amenities were below standard. Toilet paper of the cheapest quality, bath gel in the shower did not work, towels really old, frayed and rough, no water in our room but tons of alcohol. Finally found a bottle of water behind the bar priced at $13 a bottle. I think at over $500 a night, we should atleast be given two bottles of regular water.

One robe for two of us. Everything was cheap. Desk clerks did not provide our check out statement so we have no idea what we have been charged.

Finally we were charged a $45 a night resort fee. I am okay about paying a resort fee but we were NOT provided robes or towels for the pool or a safety box or anything that we were charged a fee for. In fact service was so poor, it is unfair to charge a fee and it is really bad business to do so.

This hotel has excellent staff, especially the man and women at the check-in/registration desk. They were so kind and helpful at all times. The hotel room is stylish and spacious and comfortable, with an LA MCM design aesthetic. The bed is super comfortable with comfortable linens. Nice pool. All in all, great stay!

We were pleasantly surprised at this little diamond of a hotel. The rooms are beautifully designed. The thoughtful touches like a perfectly designed bar set up with fun snacks and room goodies. The drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic) were on point. Bed was comfortable and so were the pillows. The bathroom was huge and I liked having a big sink area in the room (not the bathroom). Staff at front desk and at valet were so nice and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the restaurant attached. Get the eggplant dish. Just amazing. Drinks are wonderful too. A real gem- not to miss! We swam in the pool in the evening- we were the only only ones there. It was a coolish night but not if you are from WA state. Pool area is small but again, beautifully designed. I think the bar area by the pool was hopping the next day but we didn't have time to visit. We would definitely stay here again.

I moved rooms. I was put right next to the staff room where things were banging around and you could also hear the hallway and doors, people talking from inside the room. When I did complain they sorted it very quicklY. Even in the new room I could still hear the hallway and people.
