Nice location, and hotel, staff a bit slow and lacked initiative. We had asked 2 weeks in advance for adjoining rooms but only managed it on our 2nd night. On first night were directed to a restaurant which was shut. At breakfast had to request for more hot water twice before anything was done.

Loved this hotel, beautiful, quirky, staff friendly, helpful. We arrived early evening & the restaurant was not open but the pool bar was open and the barman very kindly rustled up some lovely snack bites.
Various rooms to relax in and the art around the building was amazing!
Would definitely go back if visit Begamo again the future.

Hotel emailed 2 days before check-in saying outdoor pool was closed (booked 3 months ago mainly for that reason!), turns out reason was for a wedding which they would have known about for a long time. Aircondition in the room was more like a fan blowing hot air around. Staff friendly. Decor nice. Location on a big road. Minibar had clearly not been cleaned in a long time as a layer of liquid was covering the bottom.

Everything and everyone was great, loved the style and decor, location was excellent however internet was not that good, could not connect to google and gmail, only Facebook and Instagram and it was lagging. Referred to staff, at least we got a printout of a google map to help us get to our next place.

Went here with my son on a mid term break. Great value and booked on Hotel.com. within walking distance of a big supermarket. Evening meals very expensive in the hotel, but a number of reasonable priced eateries in the area. Train and bus station approx 2k walk from the hotel.
Room very clean, and a good base for travelling. Went in October and overall very good value for money. Breakfast was good.

Very good experience:

- Room was cleaned at high standard every day and towels changed too;
- Huge bed (never slept in such a big bed before) and very firm and comfortable;
- Very friendly staff able to speak different languages and help you with things-to-do around the location;
- The hotel was stunning, decorated with luxurious furniture;
- Beautiful swimming pool

It is worth it a stay and it is close to the airport and Bergamo centre.

Perfect boutique arty hotel for a relaxing holiday

Located in a very 'non-touristy' area I would 100% recommend to anyone looking to have a quiet, relaxing holiday away. It is also 6 min train away from Bergamo which is bursting with restaurants, bars and lovely architecture so you can have the best of both worlds! The hotel restaurant was closed as August (when we went) is their holiday month but there were a couple of lovely restaurants nearby so this was not an issue for us. Amazing staff and lovely rooms - I will be staying again!

Nice trip in Milano region

The hotel is wonderful, the staff is very pleasing but the hotel is overloaded with events reservation which reduce the pleasing from the place.
Moreover, the reservation over eBooker went wrong at the hotel and i learned it as i was already supposed to have the room.
It was clearly unpleasant to have to find a solution at the last minute for my 2 first nights. Then to arrive in an hotel having 2 to 3 events every night over the week end.
I do not advice this hotel for a weekend in nice weather conditions, they are too much busy making money over events.

Good art filled hotel in quiet neighbourhood

Nice idiosyncratic yet comfortable hotel with good restaurant.whilst it's essentially in the suburbs, and 8km or so from Bergamo's UNESCO listed 'Citta Alta', it's a good location for both there and Orio al Serio airport, provided you have a car. The pool looked lovely, but was unfortunately unavailable during our brief stay because of a private party.

Awesome hotel close to airport.

We stayed here one night after being in Lake Garda for a week prior to our flight home. The hotel is incredibly impressive with unique artwork and sculptures, a great pool and lovely rooms for a reasonable price. Staff were very helpful and the hotel had everything you needed.
Other people have said it was hard to find but we found it really easily, as soon as you see a sign with Settecento on, turn in!

An enjoyable stay

We stopped at Hotel Settecento on our way from Bergamo Airport to Lake Iseo after an early flight to Italy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Hotel has a quirky and unique character and has a child friendly swimming outdoor pool with fantastic changing facilities. When the weather is colder there is also an indoor pool. The room was exactly what we needed with a sofa bed for our four year old in part of the room searated by a voile curtain. We returned on our way back home.

Fantastic hotel - a hidden gem!

Located between Ponte San Pietro and Presezzo, typical Italian working towns, with very few tourists. Contrary to other reviews, a car is not necessary, if you're willing to walk to the supermarket or train station (15 mins and 25 mins stroll, respectively). This is a great base to explore Bergamo, Milan, Lecco, etc, with good train connections. There are numerous public parks in the surrounding area (mainly catering for younger children - up to ages 7'ish) Hotel staff are extremely helpful, friendly and very welcoming. The food is excellent, but can be supplemented by trips to the supermarket or local restaurants, if you're on a budget. There are also weekly markets offering local produce and wares (no tourist type stalls). Breakfast caters for all nationalities and includes English breakfast and fabulous homemade cakes and biscuits. The standard of this hotel is excellent - the facilities are well kept and the attention to detail is clear. The hotel has a mixture of contemporary art and original features and is a pleasure to merely walk around. In summary, the Settecento is a perfect, peaceful retreat, away from tourist traps and is easily worthy of it's 4 star rating.

Lovely Hotel which is also an italian work of art!

This is a hotel to savour and remember. The gardens and outside pool are lovely, the building is in good condition inside and out, but it is the art installations which make it so memorable. The rooms are all slightly different as is the building itself, beds are very comfy and rooms are very pleasant even though you will spend most of your time visiting the lakes and countryside around. Spa area is small but has a classy feel to it, just like the rest of the hotel. Ponte san Pietro is an easy 15 minute walk away and though there is not a great deal to see the view from the bridge is good as is the popular local italian restaurant along the side of the river on via Garibaldi. We did have an issue with breakfast not being included as promised on the Hotels.com website but the company (hotels.com) are dealing with my enquiry. The Settecento is a lovely hotel and the staff are very pleasant too. Grazie!

On the one hand it was in the middle of nowhere, on the other it was fairly central to a lot of different places - Bergamo, Milan, Lake Como which were quite easy to get to by train. Excellent breakfast. Restaurant quite expensive for evening meal though it was also excellent, and no where much else to eat in neighbourhood. Would use again if I was returning to this area.

We had a great week at the Settecento. Very good pool and restaurant with very friendly staff. Rooms clean and comfortable. Found a really nice open air restaurant in the square in Presezzo beside the church. On the downside there is not a lot else in Presezzo and the area around the hotel is quite industrial with a busy road right outside. Bergamo is beautiful and quite easy to get to by bus.

A real oasis of calm

Beautiful and quirky hotel. Travelling with two teenagers the pool and modern art were real hits. breakfast was served outside in the morning and was adequate.

Beatifully decorated, clean and peaceful the only disadvantage was the noisy air con too noisy for peaceful sleep but too hot to sleep without it.

That said we would all happily return

The hotel is charming thanks to its historical background (an ancient, nicely refurbished building) and design. The services were perfect, my only note concerns the bed, which was a bit short for 186 cm tall man. The place is easy to find, about 10 km far from the motorway Venezia-Milano. However the village itself is not much pleasant, there is nothing worth to see there. Perfect for business trips, less for holidays.

We stayed at the Hotel Settecento for three nights in September. As we did not have a car, getting to the hotel required a taxi ride from Bergamo. However, once there we took the train ( a 15 min walk ) to Monza for F1. Very convenient, quick and easy!
The hotel itself was amazing. Beautiful modern artwork, so creative, something to admire at every turn. For our first evening meal,the outside patio featured a live jazz band, and the ambiance was amazing!
The staff was helpful and very pleasant..
Yes, we would go back!

sono arrivato in hotel dopo le 22 ed evidentemente il portiere notturno non è all'altezza. Non saluta, non da il benvenuto, chiede bruscamente documenti e carte i credito per pagare gli 'scoperti'.

Super flot hotel, helt nyistandsat med flot kunst overalt, også på værelserne. Vi fik et dejligt stort rum til en familie på 4. Det vendte mod vejen og der var trafikstøj. Dejlig pool med lille bar med mad. Morgenmaden var virkelig god. 12km til lufthavnen, vi fik en stor taxi for 50EUR

One night layover was enough, thankfully didn't need to stay longer. Very surprised the hotel is rated 4 stars?? You can definitely use the money better, guys. At the hotel webpage is mentioned the hotel is situated at a shopping mall, which isn't true. Hotel is its own separate building, so don't look for a shopping mall when looking for the hotel..

The bathroom in the room was ice cold and the road noise came straight in the room. Parking lot was empty when we arrived, but as we drove back from sightseeing Bergamo sights, it was so packed we were advised to leave the rental car to the parking lot of the nearby shopping mall.. (the conference that occupied all the vacant parking slots could've been mentioned when we drove out, as we did talk about the parking).

Customer service assistant couldn't give advice about Bergamo sights or distances as he wasn't local.. (suggesting the old town is nearby hotel, \"probably a walk away\", in reality 10km one way..).

Rather difficult location without a car, taxi from the hotel to the airport (15min drive) cost 40€, public transportation would've took minimum one hour..

Positive notes: building is nice and neatly decorated.

Fint hotell for turer med bil i regionen.

Fint hotell, og godt utgangspunkt for mange fine turer i Lombardia-regionen. Du må ha bil ettersom hotellet ligger utenfor byen, men fin parkering gratis på hotellet. Spiste lunsj på hotellet, ved bassenget flere dager, det kan anbefales. Reiste til Lake Como på dagstur, tar en time til Varenna, og dagstur til Venezia tok to timer. Milano var også en liten time unna med bil. Bergamo by, både gammel og ny, er verdt en tur.

Grossissimo problema, segnalato alla reception! La camera dichiarata per non fumatori era impregnata dì puzza da fumo sia la camera che il servizio. La cosa spiacevole era la dichiarazione all’ingresso e alla reception che riportava che le stanze venivano arieggiate per 48 ore e venivano sanificate regolarmente! Alle mie rimostranze nessuna scusa, e ciò è stato spiacevole, è solo un semplice e distaccato prima avviso la direzione poi alla mia seconda rimostranza un freddo e distaccato”se vuole le cambiamo stanza”. Molto deludente. Per correttezza ho avvisato della mia segnalazione negativa. Risposta faccia quello che vuole senza nemmeno alzare la testa dal computer. Ovviamente conto pagato!

DieUnterkunft hat sehr viele ganz tolle einzelne Räume mit einem wunderschönen Ambiente. So finden sich zum Beospiel Stühle an der Decke, unverputzte wunderschön gepflegte Wände, interessante Kunst an den Wänden und und und. Die Zimmer waren sauber im Stile eines Tagungshotels gestaltet. Mir hat das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis imponiert. Da wir nur für eine Nacht auf Durchreise waren kann ich leider nicht mehr dazu schreiben.

An amazing hotel for all senses with great rooms, art work to look at in every corner inside and outdoors, wonderful staff, perfect pool area and the location of the hotel is hreat - close to a lot of places.
The restaurant at Settecento is magical. Its our 2nd visit to the hotel and we have had 4 amazing dinners there. Food for all of your senses, beautyful, makes your tastebuds sing and the surroundings in the different rooms makes the whole experience fantastic.

la stanza situata sopra un salone utilizzato per una festa non è adeguatamente insonorizzata, per cui si è sentita la musica fino a notte inoltrata; per la conferenza c'è stato un problema con l'acustica che ha fatto perdere almeno un quarto d'ora all'inizio e ha impedito poi l'uso del microfono per buona parte della conferenza: credo che il servizio andrebbe migliorato. Per il resto l'edificio è bellissimo e facilmente raggiungibile a piedi dalla stazione, la camera spaziosa e confortevole, il bagno ben illuminato pulito e spazioso; la colazione ricca e varia.

Good stay in quiet location

Large rooms in a historic building. Plus for very comfortable beds. Nice but small outdoor area with pool that we did not use due to rain during our stay. We used the indoor pool which our kids absolutely loved. The Hotel location was quiet but significant noise from the road outside during the night due to very aggressive driving with motorcycles. Ok breakfast but could approve with a bigger selection of food. However, a good experience close to Bergamo and the airport.

Hotel zwischen Bergamo und Mailand

Waren mit 2 Teenagern dort, für 3 Nächte und nur zur Übernachtung, da wir von dort aus nach Mailand und Bergamo gefahren sind. Wir hätten dort auch den Pool genutzt, aber mangels Zeit taten wir es nicht. Ein sehr interessantes Hotel, wo man Altes und Modernes aus meiner Sicht sehr gut kombiniert hat

Je le recommande pour un séjour dans la région

Joli hôtel moderne construit en partie dans une ancienne bâtisse avec de nombreux objets design. Petite chambre avec bonne climatisation silencieuse et tout le nécessaire pour un bon séjour.
Piscine intérieur et extérieur en été. Petit déjeuner raisonnable mais sans plus.

Hotel muito agradável

Hotel em uma Comune Pequena próximo a Bérgamo, superou minhas expectativas principalmente com relação às instalações, muito organizado e cheio de detalhes, e à limpeza, realmente impecável. Pena a cama de casal ser duas de solteiro juntas e as piscinas (interna e externa) estarem muito frias. Ponto positivo sem dúvida é a staff tanto da recepção quanto do restaurante, e o café da manhã muito gostoso e com boa variedade de alimentos.

Noi abbiamo prenotato l’albergo a fine febbraio per aprile da 16 a 22. Noi siamo stati da 16 aprile a 22 aprile e siamo stati malissimo. Sul sito avevate scritto aria condizionata, frigo bar, internet, e noi non li abbiamo avuto. Per 3 giorni il frigo non funzionava. Il tempo faceva tanto caldo e dentro camera faceva 28 gradi e noi eravamo senza aria condizionata perché loro ci hanno detto i condizionatori si accenderanno l’inizio di Maggio. Io per 2 giorni mi sono sentita male a causa della mancanza di ossigeno. Non si poteva aprire le finestre perché non c’erano le zanzariere e faceva tanto caldo e dappertutto era pieno di zanzare.Tutti si lamentavano ma loro sono stati maleducatissimi. Internet non funzionava perché ci dicevano albergo era pieno di ospiti allora Internet non funziona e dovevano parlare con Vodafone ( il problema era il loro non di ospiti). Noi li avevamo già avvisati che non pagavamo per i servizi che non abbiamo avuto ma quando abbiamo fatto check out non accettavano finché ci hanno detto di andare via e loro ci contattavano. Addirittura li abbiamo chiesto se potevano scalare i soldi dalla nostra carta di credito che avevamo lasciato come la garanzia( al momento di prenotazione sul sito abbiamo scelto pagare in albergo) e loro ci hanno detto che non potevano scalare i soldi perché sono stati sbloccati sulla carta. Ma dopo una settimana di chiamate ci hanno scalato i soldi dalla carta nostra senza avvisarci. Ci hanno detto che Expedia ha scalato.

Ottimo hotel di passaggio

Hotel curato e ancora come nuovo, molto belli gli ambienti comuni, il ristorante.
Camere ben tenute e pulite, ottimo rapporto qualita'/prezzo.
Purtroppo eravamo di passaggio e non abbiamo potuto provare piscina e parco.
