Our stay at the Havgrim Seaside Hotel was fabulous. Great view. Beautiful room. Convenient.
The bathroom situation was a bit awkward unless you are very comfortable with your room mate. There was a clear glass door which meant there was no privacy.

So-called “Deluxe room with sea view” was on the lower level, with very limited sea view and was extremely small and claustrophobic. If this was “Deluxe” I cannot imagine how small a standard room must be. More like Fawlty Towers than an upper range hotel. And some very strange restrictions on when you could check out (if you want to check out before 10 am you must do it the night before, but you must be out by 12 noon). Also small annoying things like having to pay extra if you wanted to use the hot tub. Do not recommend…

I loved the staff. They were so kind and welcoming. I loved the location, it was central to everything and right on the coast. Extremely beautiful. And the breakfast was great. This hotel really made you feel warm inside. You felt like it was your own home. It was wonderful. Thank you again and we can’t wait to come back.

We enjoyed the location of this property. It was an easy walking distance to the main harbor area and shops in Torshavn. Most rooms enjoy a view of the water. The breakfast seemed very over priced for what was available and unlike most hotels I've encountered in Europe, it cost extra. Most hotels that charge have a much bigger selection. This breakfast seemed very limited to be charging the rate they charged. The room itself was VERY small and the bathroom arrangement very awkward. The clear glass shower door swung forward to be the bathroom door with gaps at the top and bottom offering no privacy, especially given the postage stamp size of the room. In addition, there was a weird window over the sink area into the bedroom that served no function other than to illuminate the bedroom at night when using the bathroom light. No functionality and disruptive to the anyone trying to sleep while using the bathroom at night. There is no proper closet or luggage storage area to speak of. Room 102 is almost too small for two people to comfortably share. Very disappointing considering the other reviews I read online.

What a special find. The rooms are lovely and the view of the ocean is great. I was on the first floor by reception. They first offered me a different first floor room that was larger, but it looked out on the street and only one side window opened. I moved to the other side and had an ocean view. The staff was most helpful and very cordial.

Rose made the elaborate breakfast buffet. What a lovely person. She even made sure my brother and I could quickly grab a cup of coffee prior to our departure to the airport as we had to leave the hotel at 615A.

The hotel is on the outskirts of town, but just a 5 minute walk to town which is easier than trying to park in town on a weekend.

I can't wait to come back.

It was a very pleasant stay. Very charming hotel with a nice, peaceful location. It's also very walkable to/from the town center, The room is on the small side, which is typical of Faore hotels, but is comfortable and tasteful. The breakfast is wonderful and so is Rose, the dining staff.

The hotel is beautuful and is right next to the ocean with unobstructed views!!!The breakfast by Rose was amazing ... the food was delicious and she shared her hospitality with everyone brightening their day !! They also let us check in early after a busy day through airports and gfus was much appreciated !!!

Personalet var venlige og imødekommende. Håndklæder manglede stropper at hænge i, og der manglede knager på badeværelset (305) så Håndklæderne måtte hænger over stole.
Der manglede også mulighed for ophængning af tøj, så vi hang bøjler på standerlampen.

Dyr udsigt !

Virkelig en god udsigt. Morgenmaden var også god men vær opmærksom på, at der bliver ikke gjort rent såfremt man ikke beder om det og værelserne er forholdsvis små. Placeringen var dog god men stedet levede ikke op til forventningerne og prisen.

Pessoal extremamente simpático e atencioso, com conhecimento sobre as informações de que um turista necessita. Instalações boas e com vista muito bonita para o mar. Bem localizado, próximo ao centro da cidade. Café da manhã muito bom, com atendente simpático, discreto e atencioso. Única falha: cortina do quarto deixa passar muita luz, pois fica afastada da parede. Poderiam melhorar, pois no verão a noite é muito curta. Recomendo o hotel.

En skøn oplevelse

Havgrím Seaside har en fantastisk beliggenhed lige ved stranden og selve huset har en meget speciel arkitektur, med en skøn have, der ligger helt ned til vandet. Der er flere små kroge i haven med borde, hvor man kan sidde i ly for vinden.

Værelserne er ikke store, men de er praktisk indrettede.

Personalet var søde, men talte ikke kun færøsk og engelsk, ikke dansk.

Morgenbuffeten var ganske god, og der blev serveret god kaffe, samt friskpresset juice.

God beliggenhed i forhold til den centrale del af Thorshavn, ligger ca 8-10min gang.
Gode parkerings forhold og nemt at kører til.
Lækker morgenmads buffet.
Generelt god rengøring.

Havde rum #102 det var for småt i forhold til pris.. Et værelser hvor man dårligt kan gå rundt om sengen. Et værelse som skulle havde været slået sammen med tilsvarende for at det havde været acceptabelt.

Vi havde bestilt et værelse på 1 sal, men receptionisten kunne ikke finde ud af bookningssystemet- efter lang diskutioner fik vi et værelse med fuld udsigt, som vi havde bestilt.
Wifi blev lukket kl 24.00 dagen før vi tjekkede ud.
Brusekabine i værelset og intet aflukke til toilet- dette til trods for at hotellet betegnes som et luksus hotel.
Prisen for høj- da det langtfra er luksus.
Morgenmad Ok, men ikke svarende til et luksushotel.

Very nice hotel

The hotel is new and located a short walk from the city center.

The room was of high quality with new interior all over, only remark is that there is no closet or elsewhere to unpack the suitcase.

Breakfast is a nice buffet with a good selection.

Several rooms have only partial view of the ocean, pay attention when booking if you want a full ocean view.

Lækkert lille hotel med kort gåafstand til centrum. Fin gårdhave mod vandet. Eneste negative kommentar var, at vi havde bestilt og betalt for fuld havudsigt, men kiggede delvist ud på bagsiden af en trappe. Lidt ærgeligt når man har betalt en del ekstra for udsigt! Servicen var fantastisk.

Behageligt, roligt og skønt værelse.

Vi opholdte os en enkelt nat. Sov dejligt i en fantastisk seng i et behageligt visuelt værelse. Morgenbuffen af god kvalitet indtog vi ved panoramavinduet og kunne følge med i det ruskende hav, da der var storm.
En tandbørste og tandpasta var det eneste der manglede.

In the mid-20th century, Christian Restorff began construction on a new hotel in Tórshavn. Opened in 1951 and named Hafnia, the hotel underwent significant expansion in the following decades, becoming the largest in the Faroe Islands.

In 1988, Christian's sons, Johan and Martin, took over, with Johan as director. Continuing their father's legacy of excellent service, they renovated and modernized the hotel to meet international standards.

New ownership arrived in 2005 with Osmund Justinussen and his sons, Tummas and Gunnar, along with Per Sævik from Norway. In 2018, Smyril Line acquired the hotel, and on July 1, 2020, they opened the stylish, new four-star Hotel Brandan Conference Center.

At Hotel Hafnia, our 24/7 reception ensures guests are always welcomed. Our skilled chefs create fresh, innovative dishes daily in our restaurant.

We also host parties and dinners in our event rooms. Café Kaspar provides quality coffee, drinks, and light meals in a modern yet cozy atmosphere.
