I chose the property because I am a Hilton rewards member. It did concern me that the property was not in the central town area and this concern was validated by the lack of food options. The restaurant closes between lunch and dinner. The area to buy snacks had a dish that said croissants but during the three days I was there they were never croissants there and there were exactly 3 sandwiches for the whole three days. All of it was like a salmon salad. Coming back from a couple of my excursions. I wanted to eat something only to find that the restaurant was closed until 530. The staff directed me to the brewery restaurant two blocks away on both days that I went there they were closed for private parties during the day. The only other restaurant within walking distance was only open dinner so given this seclusion of the hotel, the lack of food availability within the hotel and nearby would prevent me from recommending the hotel to anyone else. Very disappointed.

Nice design on the outside, but I didn’t care for the room design. It felt like the bathroom was inside the bedroom, and not well-separated for privacy. The worst part is that after paying quite a high price for a room here, there was roof work going on literally outside our window (workers just a couple feet outside the window) from 8:30 AM to 8 PM. When we asked to change the room, they said they were completely full.

Grass roof and glass front blends perfectly into the culture and landscape. The room design and layout was a picture perfect environment with every useful convenience for a great vacation. Amazing staff gave great travel advice and went above and beyond to cater to my dietary restrictions. I have never had a better overall experience. The guest use laundry room and private rooftop spa were simply over the top.

Overall, this is a nice hotel. The front desk staff are really personable and helpful. Our room was fairly small (as expected for a European hotel room) but it was clean and the beds were comfy. The sink/mirror is in the room and there are separate stalls each for the toilet and the shower. There is a fridge and an electric tea kettle in the room. The location is a bit odd… the only entrance/lobby is down a driveway from the road to the back of the building. It is in a more industrial area, but it is easy to walk into city center. There are also many walking paths nearby that are fun to explore.

Only niggle was no provision of a teaspoon; i borrowed one from the restaurant on my first day but this was removed by room service so i had to get another the next day (tricky to stir coffee / remove tea bags etc)

Hotel is located in a business park far from city center. The restaurant is super expensive and super slow - we had to wait one hour for our dinner. The room did not have AC. The thermostat would not go below 22 degrees Celsius which is way too hot to sleep. We had to keep all windows opened and felt like camping outside with street lights shiny through and road noise. The hotel itself is okay but not worth the high price in my opinion.

We came for a short trip to Faroe Islands. We wanted to explore the rugged nature of the land but have a comfortable base to operate from. And we found it in the Hilton. Located just on the edge of town with views to the sea and one tidal parking. But only 15 minute walk to centre.

Scam! Dont stay here.

This hotel is a scam. There is a countrywide worker's strike in the Faroe Islands. There is no fuel, no rental cars and limited food. There are no taxis either. This hotel lies. I attempted to cancel 2 days prior and they overcharged my credit card for MORE than 1 night. I have no way of getting to the hotel or around the island. The country is effectively shut down. Horrible customer service. I'm also a Hilton Honors member. I'm never staying at a Hilton again!

Small’ish rooms for the price ($225 per night). No wardrobe, just a hanging rod. Rooms and public areas really hot. Very noisy on most nights from overnight conferences and people spilling into the parking and playing music and drinking booze. Rooms facing the parking got all the noise. One would think the hotel would ask them not to create a ruckus going into the early hours of the morning.
Positives - staff are friendly, housekeeping is good, plenty of parking, close to town.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and the room is in good size. We were unfortunatley didn't know it was the National Holiday and more than half of the popation was in Torshavn. we booked the two nights in a very very high price, but thank God we were given free breakfast. we could not drive to our restaurant or park in the center of the town. So we took a 3 minutes taxi (150DKK) to whereever we were allowed and walked. And then we walked back to the hotel dretched.

4 nights in Torshavn

Beautiful hotel on a somewhat busy street. With windows open, street noise was heard easily. Tried to \"save\" our towels by hanging them, but they were replaced each day, which is not very eco-friendly. Staff was super nice, food was good, and in line with the cost of other tourist-centered restaurants in Torshavn.
It was a great location for day trips to nearby islands for day hikes and boat excursions.

Just returned home from 4 days on the Faroe Islands. The trip started a little rough, with my baggage not making the trip from Copenhagen. The staff at both the check-in and the restaurant were an incredible help, letting me borrow their phone charger so I could wait for a call from the airline.
The staff was wonderful the entire time I was there-always saying hello, asking how I was, etc. Anything i needed was taken care of ASAP.
Great location, comfortable room and the heated floors were something new to me-LOVED my stay here!

Great hotel

The hotel is very nice overall. We had the room view view to the front of the hotel to the ocean. The free parking is great, sometimes it is overcrowded since almost everyone rents a car. The spa consists of a dry sauna and a hot tube. It has a fix price of 500 kroner per hour for two people. I recommend to book in advance, since most people are back from day trips around the same time and want to use it. The breakfast is excellent with fresh fruits, different types of eggs and yogurts, a large variety of breads and rolls. The room is very spacious, excellent bath and bed. The lighting system could be a little better, either you turn on all the lights of the room or you have the bedside lamps on. But that’s a minor item and just for the record of the managers. We really recommend the hotel.

Love the hotel and staff, but we hate hate hated the bathroom arrangement. There is not an actual bathroom. The sink is in the room and the shower and toilet are individual rooms with doors that do not allow for privacy. You can hear everything from the toilet. I was with my adult son, so we had to change clothes inside the shower. On the positive side, the vista from the view room was spectacular and really added to our trip. The hotel is clean and new. The food quality at breakfast was absolutely outstanding. Some of the sweetest fruit I have ever had; homemade baked goods. Free laundry and a small store both added a lot of convenience. Highly recommend only for travelers who are solo or do not care about the bathroom issue.

High quality stay, great base camp

The Hilton Garden Inn made an excellent base camp for exploring the islands. The hotel is in great shape, the rooms are very clean (servicing of rooms is on request at the moment due to COVID protocols-- just tell the front desk in the morning), and if you opt for the view, it is an unbelievable ceiling to floor overlook, complete with rolling green hills and sheep. The main part of town is an easy 20 minute walk, with sidewalks all the way. While it may not be as central to some touristy spots as some other options, I found the HGI's location to be an advantage for getting in and out by car since I did not have to navigate the \"city\" streets during day trips. We had a great meal in the hotel restaurant on a night we just wanted to stay in, and enjoyed night caps at the bar each evening. The staff even helped me to coordinate a ferry trip to Skuvoy when I was having trouble reaching the ferry operator. I typically gravitate more towards boutique hotels, but this HGI had a totally unique feel and the amenities and service were reliable and welcome after being on the road for a while. I recommend!

The hotel has a beautiful view of Tórshavn and there is plenty of free parking space if you decide to rent a car.
The room was in great condition, furnishings were new and well-kept. The cleaning was great too.
By far the best part of my stay was the hotel staff. They were welcoming, smiling and happy to provide advice for day trips etc. I highly recommend staying here.

Havde forventet mere af et 4 stjernet hotel og Hilton!
Vi skulle have haft en opredning til vores datter, dette var der ikke gjort klar til, henvendte mig i receptionen, der straks kom med sengetøj. Sengen var dog ubrugelig, da den ikke kunne trækkes ud. Personalet så selv dette, men gjorde intet ved det, så vi lå 3 mennesker i en 140 seng.
Der manglede sæbe og conditioner i badet, beholderne var tomme.
Der manglede pose i den ene skraldespand.

„Mit Aussicht“ auf eine Mini-Färöer-Welt

Leider nur ein Kurzaufenthalt auf den Inseln und in diesem Hotel. Spannendes Design, sehr ruhig, total entspannte Atmosphäre - obwohl es auch ein Tagungshotel ist. Für manche Gäste könnte die Zimmeraufteilung mit Waschbecken neben der Tür und Klapp-/Schiebetüren zur Raumtrennung gewöhnungsbedürftig sein, aber wir fanden es interessant. Wir hatten ein Zimmer „mit Aussicht“ gebucht, was sich gelohnt hat. Man schaut auf der Nordseite des Hotels (und aus dem Bett) auf eine „Mini-Färöer-Landschaft“ mit Schafen, Wasserfällen, Grasdächern, aber auch das moderne Inselleben. Ein wenig wie auf einer Modelleisenbahn :-)

Das Hotel ist sehr zu empfehlen. Schöne helle Zimmer, die in einem sehr guten Zustand sind. Das Hotel liegt schön auf einer Anhöhe, sodass man einen tollen Blick über die Stadt hat. Das Frühstück ist sehr zu empfehlen. Einzig, dass der Fitnessraum erst um 8 Uhr öffnet, ist ein kleiner Wehrmutstropfen.

Hotellet ligger litt utenfor sentrum. Stille område, til tross for en del biltrafikk i nærheten. Hadde hotellrom med utsikt, noe vi satte stor pris på. Kjekt med lite kjøleskap på rommet. Interessant løsning av wc og dusj. Benyttet oss av sauna og boblebad, 150 dkr pr prs for 45 min. Helt ok. Treningsrommet var lite men bra.
God frokost. Noe begrenset service da hotellet hadde flere gjestende fotball-lag som ble prioritert.
