This a really high standard stay. The owners are very service minded and nice. The room was as good as you can get. Perfect, clean, nice beds, minibar and strong wifi. Parking is free. Breakfast was after your choice and perfect. Neighbor is a pub were you can have dinner.

A very warm welcome with great communication leading up to our stay. We used Exmoor House as a base to explore Exmoor and North Devon and really pleased to have stayed here. Breakfast was awesome and the little touches throughout the immaculate property (treats for our pooch; chocolates in the room etc) were wonderful.

It was the little touches that mean we will be back to stay. From the warmest of welcomes to the ample drink making facilities in room, to the choice of breakfast items and amenability to alter timings to meet our needs. An exceptional place to stay.

A warm welcome on Exmoor

From the moment we stepped into Exmoor House we felt most comfortable.
Our room was delightful, all that we needed available, the adjoining bathroom was immaculate with all needs readily available.
The hostess was ready to help us in any way possible and looked after us in a gentle and pleasant way at breakfast. Our food was beautifully presented and cooked, hence a great experience.

What a great place. Everything was great. The most comfortable beds. The rooms were so clean, all the extra little thoughtful touches were so nice (chocolates coffee tea juice milk,flowers biscuits, and more). The house was beautiful. And soo clean. Peter’s Breakfast was delicious , couldn’t finish it all. Izzy and Peter were wonderful. I felt so welcome. The pub across the street was great. The food the bar the music and dancing. Wish I could have stayed longer. Next time I will for sure. I 100% recommend this place. I can’t say enough good things about it. Just go!!!😊

The room we had was spotless and well equipped. The breakfast was extremely good. The owners were very friendly and helpful especially as were arriving outside of the normal arrival times. Superb in every respect.

One of the best B/Bs we’ve stayed in. Owners were very friendly & helpful. Our room was beautifully decorated with very large comfortable bed, tea / coffee area with small fridge and large bathroom. Everything was very clean.
Breakfast’s were great and the games / bar / lounge social room was a big bonus. We had a very enjoyable stay.

This is an old building, so think quirky shaped rooms and features, not boring square boxes. That doesn't mean that it is dated inside though, it has been decorated to a high standard, and is spotlessly clean and tidy, and tastefully furnished. Our room was bigger than we expected, with loads of space even though the (very comfortable) bed was huge. There are all the facilities that you might expect, such as tea, coffee, biscuits, fridge, room safe etc, but what was lovely was that there wasn't just a couple of tea bags and a pack of custard creams but a whole range of beverages and biscuits in the room. Our hosts were great; very friendly and welcoming, and happy to advise on the best way to see local attractions. The cooked breakfast deserves a special mention, not only was it outstanding in terms of quantity but most importantly it was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. I'm going to say it's by far the best breakfast I've ever had in a B&B or hotel. Practically, the property is well situated to visit Dunster, Porlock and the surrounding area, there is parking to the rear, and the pub over the road is good for evening food and drinks. Genuinely really impressed with our stay here, and I think it will be our 'go to' for future visits.

Excellent Bed and Breakfast

There was a lovely welcome when I arrived.

The room was first class with thoughtful touches such as fresh milk and orange juice in a mini fridge.

For walkers on Exmoor there is a drying room too.

The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was lovely and hot.

The breakfast was very ample and delicious.

I would definitely want to stay again.

What a wonderful location to explore Exmoor and the coast. We had a relaxing 3 night stay, starting the day with a perfect breakfast. Although on a busy corner we were not disturbed by traffic at night. Welcoming, comfortable and freshly renovated.

I received a warm and friendly welcome after a long drive, followed-up with an excellent breakfast in the morning. I greatly appreciated the fact that ear plugs were provided in the room, because the walls are very thin and it was possible to hear pretty much everything going on in the room next door. Thankfully, the couple in there settled down at a reasonable time and I managed a decent night's sleep.

A wonderful stay! Isy and Peter have created a lovely, relaxing home away from home. There were so many small touches and going that extra miles that most B&Bs fail to do. They were so accommodating and welcoming and with such a wealth of knowledge for the local area they are not short of brilliant recommendations. I truly believe that no one needs to look any further for a hotel in Exmoor, a brilliantly cooked breakfast, comfy beds and wonderful hosts what more could you ask for! We will be recommending to anyone that travels down this way!

Best stay ever!

Picked this Guesthouse just because it was in the right area, had a king size bed (back problems) and was a reasonable price with good reviews.
We were blown away by the place from start to finish as it felt like everything you needed had been thought of.
We had a pot of welcome chocolates, a large array of biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, a fridge with orange juice, milk and water and even biscuits, cleaning products and poobags for our dog.
The bed was huge and really comfortable, good toiletries, sanitary products, cotton buds and pads all provided.
Lovely games room with pool table, darts, etc and drinks available to buy.
Towels left at front door for muddy paws if you needed.
Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, cooked to order and our hosts were lovely.
It it on a slightly busy road but as in most villages, no real noise at night and lovely pub across the road if you wanted to eat out, village shop and abundant walks.

Great stay!

We had an amazing stay here at this wonderful guest house. The owners have thought of everything with special touches such as milk and juice in the fridge and some dog biscuits for the dog.

The breakfast was amazing and set us up for the day.

The hosts Izzy and Peter were so welcoming and have made this a fantastic base to stay and explore from.

We had a lovely time. Teri and Austin were great hosts, very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were great and the food locally sourced. Our room was spacious and very clean and well decorated- country chic feel.

Superb stay!

We have just enjoyed a 4 night stay at Exmoor House Bed & Breakfast and have to say it was faultless! Austin and Teri were brilliant hosts, ensuring we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable- they were great with our little girl too, who obsessed over their lovely dog.
The rooms were spotless and tastefully furnished, with lovely little touches such as chocolates and biscuits in the room. The beds were very comfortable and the washing facilities were good with high quality toiletries offered.
Breakfast was superb, with an extensive breakfast menu and good quality local produce sourced. We haven't eaten so well in a long time!
All in all, we have had a great family break in Exmoor, made all the better by our stay here- it really was a home away from home, definitely recommend!

A fantastic break

We booked into Exmoor House and it was immediately obvious upon arrival that the place was spotless. That's always important, of course, but particularly so in these strange times we're in. I have been relatively cautious the last couple of months but Teri and Austin put me immediately at ease with all the measures they'd put in place.

The room was large, spotlessly clean, and the bed very comfortable. The shower was amazing, too.

Breakfast was ordered the night before and there was a good selection available, and the quality very good. We felt really spoilt. One evening we knew we'd be tired from a long day out so ordered a Ploughman's, which again was brilliant.

We've both absolutely no hesitation in recommending Exmoor House for a break away.

Great place to stay

Lovley place to stay, the B&B is in lovley condition the rooms have everything you need for a great stay. The service was exceptional.

Everything was amazing! The only thing I would say is the traffic is loud in the morning but that can’t be helped given the location.
They do provide ear plugs though which show they have thought of everything possible.
Such lovely people and a great breakfast.
Also so so thankful of a tip that we gave them which shows how appreciative they are.

Fabulous place in lovely location

Fantastic one night stay. Wish it could have been longer. The hosts were simply the best - helpful, friendly, informative. Room was perfect. Breakfast too. Can’t say enough about them.
