The people were super friendly. I had a handicap accessible room and it was definitely big enough. However there was a pool noodle acting as a barrier for the shower and that doesn't really work so the floor was always wet. The mattress is also super thin and the pillows are basically pancakes. If you're only staying for a night or w it's fine but definitely bring your own pillow

Tried to charge me for my service dog even after I showed proof of registration. Leak in the bathroom shower made the whole room smell moldy. Locked me out of my room and said that I owed them additional money when I infact did not. I had to go to front desk, they realized they were wrong and let me back in.

No heat at all. I was shivering in my own paid hotel room. I have never heard of this at any hotel and I have stayed at a lot of hotels over the years. They said there is no heat, only Air Conditioning. I turned on the heat thermostat and was waiting for about two hours for my room to get warmer. Then, I finally went to the front Desk and the lady just said \"there is no heat, it's an old building built in the 60's. The 1960's isn't an old building. It was in the 30's last night but nobody cares and they just want to be cheap and not have a heating bill. I'm not in Hawaii or South America. It gets cold in Kentucky. The lady at the front desk lady last night, didn't even offer me more blankets. I have low blood pressure and I get cold sooner than other people. I heard about five or six other people in the lobby talking about how cold it is in this hotel and saying that they need to turn the heat on. Nobody cares. It's all about money coming in and no money to pay for gas or heat. The front desk lady had a slave heater by her legs as she was talking to me and I asked her if they have any space heaters that I could put one in my room. She said no. Then later on I saw she had a heater on right by her legs on the floor. This is ridiculous. How cheap can a hotel owner be? No heat? That's nuts. I got a room last night because I wanted to come in from the cold weather outside. Isn't that the entire point of getting a room? To be warm, safe and comfortable? Yeah, they don't care here!

Starting at check in the lady that check this in has to be the least personable person i've ever encountered. The hotel is nothing like the picturea. It looks like it's something out of 1956. The circuit kept blowing in our room which is fine because we had a fuse box in there but very unprofessional. Our toilet did not flush.We had to pull the back off of it and pull up the back of it to make it flush. Our sheets have clearly been slept on before. I just expected more for the price

After arriving, there is no front desk clerk, you have to call a number to have someone “on the property” come check you in. After calling, the lady on the phone said they would be right over they were just getting towels for another guest, 20 minutes later they pull up in their car (obviously not even staying there during their shift). Checks me in, she leaves, I get to my room and the keys don’t work. So I repeat the same cycle, call, wait, get new keys.
The room was disgusting, spilled liquids and food in the cabinets, spilled drinks on the floor, pet hair and dirt all over the bed. I’m convinced the bed was made, they threw two towels in the bathroom and called it clean. Horrible location. Highly recommend elsewhere.

the elevator was disgusting,,, it had a rug in it and was soiled with dog urine. It looked like it had net been swepped out in days. so were the hallways ,, they were all dirty and should be carpeted for noise absorption. the room next to me had a dog that barked every time someone walked by and kept me up. the room was clean though and the bed was comfortable

Checked into room and it was filthy. Dried boogers on the walls, what appears to be blood spatter above shower head, shower floor was yellowed with soap scum, dried food left stove and microwave. Went to put our linens on the mattress cover and mattress itself stained with urine and blood. Spoke to desk clerk and was told if we didnt like the conditions we could just check out. Refused to give any contact information for management. Entryway garbage was always full. Needed a plunger one night and had to track maintenance down the next day to get one. App will not let me upload the photos

It’s great if you are staying for a short time for work or just passing thru. It’s like a small college dorm room. Rates are affordable, it’s relatively clean, no smells, no bugs, it’s pretty quiet unless you are on the highway side of the building and can hear the traffic. They don’t have daily housekeeping which I liked because I don’t want to be bothered but you have to take out your trash to the bin. Lots of food places in walking distance. It has a small laundry room, couple machines were broken. It’s not a 5 star hotel, but if you need a good place to sleep I would stay here again.

WoodSpring Suites was not an enjoyable experience. The bathroom was not cleaned well when I checked into the room. The sheets & covers didn’t look to be changed frequently. I asked for a clean wash cloth & towel bc my room was only equipped with one towel. Although the front desk said they would take care of it, they never did. It’s a pet friendly place so I’m sure people allow their dogs on the beds there so that may be a reason for the smell in the facility. I ended up checking out a day early and went across the street to Sleep Inn Main Stay. My experience there was much better and the rooms were clean.

Upon entering my room after checkin I found the housekeeper sitting in the room watching tv. Then after he left I couldn’t get the tv to work. I had to run to the store and thought I would tell the front desk when I returned but it was closed at 5 pm. I called several times that evening and no one answered. When I checked out at 7 am the front desk was still closed. Also the room wasn’t as clean as it should be. There were fake eyelashes left on the night stand, hair hanging from the microwave and it looks like the vents haven’t been cleaned in months

Posting this to save future stayers. The bed is like a pull out bed off the wall. Dirty. Toilets way too low, just had knees done and could barely get up, I’ve never had a toilet so low to the ground. Bug shells on the ground, no pressure when water turned on then continued with a loud noise coming out of the wall. Overall a really bad experience, had to checkout and get a new hotel the very next morning. Wouldn’t recommend.

Mediocre Hotel-Outer areas not kept up.

The interior of the hotel was clean and no bad smells. The furnishings were cheap but comfortable.
The exterior was disgusting . There was trash and broken glass everywhere. I stayed here because it was dog friendly but had to go offsite to walk my dogs. There was also a strange path cut into the woods behind the property. While is was coming into the building a large man came up from the path.

the property was right off the highway, but there is no night staff to check in, thankfully i checked in early. The entrance at night was filled w drunks, druggies and undesirables. thankfully the entrance was locked and you needed a card to get in. The hotel itself was fairly clean but we didn't feel comfortable at all and checked out the next morning and we did get our money back for the rest of the days. maybe for a single man driving for business and needs a quick place to stay it might be OK but not for us.

I was in shock that the check in desk closed at 7:30pm like it’s 1980 again but we didn’t have a wash tv remote but was able to get someone to get us one she was amazing asked for extra pillows but didn’t get any so only get one pillow if there is two of you I have to be at a 45• angle and there was black mole in the shower area when told check out of this they acted like that they don’t care also there was non coffee pot dishes or nothing but have a small kitchen area also there was dirty wash rags in dresser drawers and string smelling weed that is not legal in this area

All the staff except Rebecca (the manager) were pleasant and helpful. She rubbed me the wrong way when I asked about towels to Kerry and Floyd. She butted her way into our conversation and was very rude and unaccommodating. The washers and dryers did not work how they should have. I wasted so much time dealing with the washer and dryer machines due to the washers not accepting credit cards. The hotel did not have any quarters to accommodate their guests. Kerry was very helpful considering the situation and supplied me with some. As I was at the dryer inserting coins it kept rejecting them as Kerry was helping me, in that instance the manager Rebecca barged in with what seemed to be a personal problem, one that should not have been directed at me being I am a guest of the property. She said Kerry COME out to the reception as if I was oblivious and not a paying customer who needed help. I asked her if she was the manager because I really could not tell. I told her about my problem, and she did not respond as a “manager” should, by saying to me I can check out if I am not satisfied. My clothes are not dry at this point, and I am pissed right now! She says,Call the number. Another guest was in the laundry room, he told me that she is a B* very rude, and always saying that to guests. I’m in my last quarter and the machine stole my money, so I went back to the reception area and waited in line, two guests who were checking in told me that she was rude on the phone to them. I would.

I booked a room through hotels.com for my 2 sisters to stay in town while I was recovering from heart surgery. The first room (#213) had black mold growing around the A/C unit, so they were moved to #220. There was none of the amenities (coffe pot, pots and pans, silverware) that were advertised to be in the room. A coffee pot was finally brought to the room. The fridge made an ungodly noise, so they unplugged it and it was replaced the next day. Most of the time, my sisters were with me, only returning to the room to sleep. When they checked out, there a $150 deposit on the bill that they said I would get back in 3-5 days. After 4 business days, I had not seen a credit on my card and went and talked to the girl working the desk, who was very curt. I got a receipt and did not look at it closely until after I got home. There was a $3.61 debit from my refund for \"phone- long distance\" calls. Having cell phones, my sisters had no reason to use the hotel phone for long distance calls. I went back and talked to the same girl, Rebecca, who was downright rude this time (there are previous comments from guest about her rudeness). She said there were three calls made from that room. The ONLY three calls made on the room phone was to call the front desk to get moved from the moldy first room, have someone come look at the noisy fridge, and to get a coffee pot that should have been in there to start with. NOT A WAY TO DO BUSINESS! I will be having a conversation with corporate.

Office closes at 4 on Saturday and took 40 minutes

Could not check in until after 3 pm on Saturday. Arrived at 4:30. Office closed at 4. Had to call an offsite person and 30 minutes later a grumpy associate arrived and never spoke. Took 10 more minutes to get checked in. Also, had to give Id and he made a copy of it. I asked Rebecca the manager to give it back to me at check out and she rudely said she wouldn’t. Credit card information and Id now on file for any one to take. I travel often and have never had driver’s license photo copied.

What you actually get at this place vs. what Hotels.com tells you you are getting are two different things. This is a place where people who are down and out are just trying to get by. Zombies, meth addicts, poor and desperate, etc etc. People live here and stand out front complaining and smoking and screaming at staff. The staff are doing their best with a lot of unnecessary rules. For example. I had to provide my debit card which was not just used as a hold, but they ran it and charged my card and DID NOT return money to my bank account for 5 business days. I was absolutely screwed because I needed that money to live. THIS CHARGE WAS IN ADDITION TO THE HOTELS.COM fee. I had to keep resetting my key because it wouldn’t work. The hallways smell like whatever everyone is cooking in their room. I was nauseous. The elevator didn’t work as it should. Again. The staff was cool with what they had to work with. But they are depressed and going through the motions because this place is just sad.

This cost me over $90 plus gas and time because the only hotel with a room was 15 minutes in the wrong direction. Contacted Expedia and that guy wasn’t very smart and was zero help. Expedia or Woodspring should send me a check for $90. And I’ll never book at Woodspring again. Not happy.

Rude staff and bedbugs

We did not stay there and we will be disputing the charge. They wanted 150.00 deposit(previously undisclosed) the place is a dump, and they have bedbugs. YOU DO NOT WANT TO STAY HERE!

I reserved a single queen bed room and paid for it all online with my card, arrived and had to wait for the front desk person at least 10 minutes to finally come down to check me in to be notified then that I would have to pay 150 dollar deposit that was not made aware to me even online the paper on the desk said it would be put back on my card when I checked out the next morning well that was a lie/false advertisement because I called back up there after check out and they explained it would be 3-5 business days now what if that was my last 150 dollars and I absolutely needed that the very next day as the paper stated then what?! Also I get up to my room and it’s not a single queen bed I got a room with double beds go to use the restroom and I have absolutely no toilet paper in the room anywhere, they didn’t even have any of the complementary shampoos or conditioner. There was no where to get ice as most places have an ice machine these days. Tried to turn on the wall unit for a little heat and it smelt like it was going to catch on fire so I turned that off. Let’s just say that I’ve had much better stays at other hotels and I’m not sure I will be back.

Terrible Customer Service

Terrible customer service! Wait time to check in was about an hour. Limited check in hours! General manager was rude! Room was just ok. Won't stay here again & won't recommend it!

They wouldn’t let me check in became I was only me. I was told that I need two people even though I was by myself. I was charged for you room but, wasn’t a load to check in.

We were just in town briefly but we found our room to be clean and the office staff person friendly and helpful. We had 2 rooms, 5 people and 5 dogs. The person who checked us in was great. Very helpful with getting everything done expediently knowing we had animals. Our room was clean but missing blankets which the same staff member brought to us quickly after a call to the front desk. The rest of our party checked in later and found they also didn't have blankets and were told they property may be out of them. Eventually, they were brought fresh, clean blankets. The next morning as we were preparing to check out, the same staff person was going to rooms and gathering linens and cleaning them. Come to find out, he is the only employee on the property right now and is doing all of the jobs there. He hadn't had a day off in over seven days. I think it just brought home how the world has changed and how the lack of workers effects things. Kudos to him for persevering and taking what could have been awful and making sure it wasn't. There may be a large lack of work ethic in the world, but this man proves that there are workers out there that go well above and beyond to take care of others. I would definitely stay again, just because he is so wonderful.

Budget, but good

Was fine for what it was - a budget hotel for long stays. Certainly worth the money since it was half the cost of other long stay hotels, but it is a budget hotel. Charged extra if you wanted to use dishes, relatively small room for a longer stay. Neighborhood was fine, some food options near by and felt safe and clean. Would stay again if needed
