For a 5 star hotel, the rooms were not great. Water pressure in the shower was terrible and they put me in a room that was as far as possible from reception. It made no sense, considering the very few people staying at the hotel.

The first receptionist had terrible customer service. When I returned at night after a long day of touring, the fellow at reception was on his phone and barely acknowledged me, even after I had to walk all the way back from my room because me key was not working.

There were 2 other men at reception the next day, and they were friendly and responsive.

Breakfast was ok and the staff seemed friendly. But the coffee machines were sub standard.

If you are looking for a true 5 star experience, this is not it.

The resort is really nice. Staff is welcoming, helpful, friendly. Animations are great with a lot to do on the resort itself. The dining experience in all inclusive is very impressive. The food buffet is amazing and all very tasty with an immense variety of choices even for kids.

Very nice hotel with lots of amenities, staff are friendly and the rooms are nice with everything you need. We went out of season (Feb) so many places outsidea of the hotel were closed/limited which was fine as the hotel has lots to do anyway. Areas outside of the hotel are very littered with building debris and general rubbish which is a shame as it is a gorgeous area. The food in the restaurant was great for breakfast, lunch and dinner options. The staff however were very easily bribed and swayed by any customers offering the best tips and gifts. Everyday, \"the best\" tables were reserved and certain guests had their sole attention which meant many tables were not clean and you often had to collect your own cutlery, water and had dirty plates around you. So if you want a general level of service, be prepared to tip!
The cleaning staff were an absolute dream, very friendly and accommodating, leaving funny towel arrangements and even little sweets!

Une semaine de repos dans un bel endroit

Hôtel très propre et bien entretenu - buffets avec pas mal de choix de nourriture (local, pâtes, poisson, viande, etc...) la piscine extérieure n'est pas chauffée contrairement à celle intérieure, donc pas trop praticable (pour un mois de février) Bungalow très spacieux, le personnel, femmes de chambres et équipes d'animations sont très souriant et extraordinaires, toujours un petit mot sympa, le wifi passe partout et très bien (également sur la plage) - dans les points négatifs, je dirais qu'il y avait beaucoup d'algues sur la plage et que malheureusement le restaurant grillade de la plage était fermé (dû à la basse saison je suppose). possibilité de visiter les différentes activités, souk et attractions touristiques de l'île en prenant un taxi devant l'hôtel ce qui est nettement moins couteux et plus pratique car on prends le temps qu'on souhaite et on est indépendants.

Hotel was a great value. In the winter it’s too cold to swim outdoors but we brought tennis rackets and played lots of tennis, basketball and indoor swimming.
The only thing that I didn’t like was that there was a smoking lounge inside the hotel lobby so the reception area always smelled like cigarettes. If the hotel would move the smoking area outside and away from the doors it would make the hotel much more appealing. It seems like a lot of the hotels in Djerba have indoor smoking.

I loved my experience at Iberostar Méhari Djerba. Delicious tasty food options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Beautiful beach on the Mediterranean. Free beach umbrellas and chairs. Terrific animation team. Creative and interesting dance shows. Room was very clean. Fresh towels provided daily. Hajer did a fantastic job cleaning our room. She created different animals out of towels and our bed linens. We loved that! Crocodiles, swans and birds!! Thank you for your dedication and for making our room super clean and comfortable to stay in. My family and I would definitely come to your hotel again for our summer holidays.

Really enjoyable family holiday

We were looking for a family friendly hotel to relax, enjoy pool and beach time, spacious and comfortable rooms, and discover a new destination. That’s exactly what we found with Djerba and Iberostar hotel. Hotel Staff was really friendly, kids pool fun and big, large main pool, and perfect indoor pool for colder days, beautiful setting and beach, lots of sport and kids animations like mini disco every night which our 5 and 8 yo boys loved. Food was very good and varied every day with local and international dishes. I recommend this hotel. We also took the time to explore Djerba in Taxi on our own (Djerba explore and crocodile farm 5min drive away, countryside Gedalla and Djerba hood, and Thursday market at Houmt souk). The taxis drivers are all friendly and honest.

Nice resort in tourist area in the island . Clean , good food and nice amenities. It was raining the day we were there so we didn’t get to use the pool , just wish the indoor pool opened longer hour specially on rainy days.
Room was clean and big with beautiful view . Just wish they have coffee maker in the room.

What can I say I booked a stay of over a month but had to leave earlier then expected due to bad Wi-Fi ( well more accurately described an almost non existing Wi-Fi ) I work while away from home and in this day and age it’s unacceptable. Also be aware if you’re a non smoker or have asthma that most places will allow smoking, for me personally that was Offputting. Now the good points: room was clean , swimming pool during the winter season was heated ( indoor pool) Nice outdoor pools . Things that can be improved is food quality it’s is very repetitive and also train your staff to not flirt with costumers ( I had a couple of times waiters writing their phone numbers on napkins) thirdly improve the Wi-Fi .

Stay was mediocre. Awful customer service. Flight was cancelled and I showed up a day late but they still charged us as well as the city tax for the extra day we were not there. Just not worth it when you’re traveling on a family vacation with a one year old to deal with situations like this and very inconsiderate staff.

The hotel was fine, staff were friendly and helpful. But if your looking for a relaxing trip this is not the place for you. This hotel caters for families with children and there is no escaping them.
It was mainly french and german I was the only english man there.
The crocodile 🐊 park nearby was excellent, I thoroughly recommend it.

This was just a one-night stay to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, and she and her friend really enjoyed the pool. The food was good, and our room was fine, except that there was no air-conditioning. The staff said that they didn’t turn it on until June 15, and we were there at the end of May. It was very warm in our room.

Cool all-inclusive resort

It was a good place. The buffet was very large and most of the stuff tasted good. Bedding was comfortable and brand new. I think they treat their water but it's probably better than the alternative. Even though parking options aren't listed in their filters while booking, there was plenty of convenient self-parking near the entrance. The pools seemed great too.

Hotel facilities and staff are great.
This hotel is located in front of the beach. That’s so convenient and perfect for beach lovers!

The pools are so clean and the kids pool has a beautiful and brand new water playground. It is amazing for children up to 16 years old.

I highly recommend that hotel in Djerba!!

not the best experience i have had

first off, booked 2 rooms with the option to pay at the hotel, get there and they cant charge to my amex or visa since its a US credit card, staff has no idea how to charge these cards they talk to their service provider and they too have no idea, they think the credit cards in US are similar to Europe where you have a chip and have to enter a pin so after several tries over the next 2 days i finally had to wire money through western union to pay these guys in cash. i wish hotels.com did not offer this option if we cant actually go ahead with it. all hotels.com said was the hotel accepts payment only in EUROS, i thought thats fine i will charge to my AMEX, well lesson learned dont use that stupid option and just pay in advance. another issue one of the 2 rooms was not even prepared for us, the other room had water and fruits and patio furniture in the patio as it should be. the other room, broken patio glass door, patio furntures inside the room and no water or fruits as in other room. i asked the front desk he tells me only on the first day u get water and fruits, he did not understand that i didnt get it to begin with, no worries bought my own water, just i have stayed at many hotels and this wasnt my best experience. also the half board only includes breakfast and dinner, no drinks are included which seems pretty stupid to me i understand not including alcoholic beverages but how much more would it cost them to include bottled water and soft drinks?

Great Deal for a Great Hotel

As a family with 2 small children we were greatly impressed with this hotel. We appreciated the care and attention give to our daughters. The waiters had a high chair at our table ready for us at each meal. The rooms and hotel in general were spotless. Since it is December and too cool for outdoor swimming we absolutely loved the spacious and warm indoor pool! Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great family getaway!

Went to Djerba for three nights with a friend. Expected a quiet vacation and got what I wanted, sort of. The hotel is in the tourist ghetto isolated from the rest of the island. So expect to be surrounded by mostly package tourists from Europe. Guests were for the most part German and French, meaning that English was not spoken much by the staff, though some members of the concierge were good about it. I got around with rudimentary French. It's a affordably priced hotel with all-inclusive packages, so the quality of everything was only slightly more than tolerable. Food was OK as long as I avoided bad Western food, drinks were OK if I stuck to simple cocktails without too many ingredients, service was OK if I did not ask many questions, and the room was...OK. They obviously cut cost wherever they could by making things just slightly above acceptable. Our room had a huge gap between the window and the frame, which the staff had stuffed with wads of tissue. The shower head was so light and flimsy that it turned out of control when I did not hold it with my hand. The most annoying, however, was the activity coordinators all around the property, stopping me whenever they could and trying to get me to sign up for tours at an additional cost. When I politely refused they became terse and treated me like I was invisible.

The hotel was clean and nice, no overflow of anything but just enough and clean. Very good hotel to be only a 3 star hotel.Internet is about 2 Euro/hour when majority of others hotels offers Wifi in rooms or in reception area free of charge. Overall, it is a good price/quality hotel.

All round great value PLUS good food

We loved this place and found it a great place for families to stay. Don't know if it is the prevailance of French guests, but the standard of food (and all-inclusive drinks) was great, especially as it was buffet-style. There was variety each day. The mini-club leader was lovely with the kids, and there was variety in the entertainments provided each evening. I was enormously impressed with the dedication of the staff, particularly the \"Animations\" team - they never looked bored, or like they were just doing their jobs, but made every guest feel welcome and as included as they wanted to be. We loved it, loved it, loved it, and we are confirmed and seasoned backpackers and campers! Can't wait to go back

Great if your 60+ and from Europe

The place is fine - but is really geared to the package Euro senior - so not really fun for the rest of us and really not near anything - so you're pretty much stuck there. The food is pretty good and plentiful (but if you are not on the all inclusive plan - like us who were on the half board - for some reason not a single drink is allowed at dinner not even water - kind of shocking for a notable chain - and they were adamant about it - couldn't even bring in your own bottle of water).

Very nice staff, the air conditioning in our room didn't work. The beds were not very comfortable. The staff were great though all very friendly and helpful, not many spoke English but they all tried. Great swimming pool. I was alone with my four kids and felt very safe. Fun place for families.

Super schönes Hotel mit einer traumhaften Anlage - die ganze Botanik / Palmenanlage ist wunderschön gepflegt! Der Strand ist ein Traum - Karibikfeeling pur! Vielen Dank an den super netten Kellner vom hinteren Außenbereich (weiß leider den Namen nicht mehr - Herr mit grauen Haaren) Er war super freundlich und zuvorkommend!
Der zuckersüße Hund am Strand hat unser Herz erobert - ich wäre dem Hotel oder anderen Gästen die dies lesen unendlich dankbar, wenn diese wenigstens mit Wasser versorgt werden würden. Und wenn nur irgendwo am Rand eine Schüssel mit Wasser steht. Leider sind wir nicht mehr da, um dies zu tun.

Questa struttura è molto bella, il cibo è buono, la camera pulita e buona parte del personale cordiale e gentile. Ciò che ci è piaciuto di più è stato sicuramente l’organizzazione delle attività! Ogni giorno e ogni sera c’era qualcosa da vedere e da fare; il corpo di ballo bravissimo e il personale per l’intrattenimento é molto coinvolgente e simpatico! Abbiamo apprezzato molto il cadeau lasciato fatto trovare dall’hotel sul letto, prima di andare via, complimenti!

L'hôtel est bien globalement, les animateurs sont excellents ! En revanche un peu déçu de la chambre, plus particulièrement la salle de bain qui avait souvent une odeur d'égouts, et le wifi en dehors de la chambre ne fonctionnait pas très bien.

Le système de check-in est également à revoir, j'ai fait un check-in online qui est sensé accélérer le processus pour au final me retrouver à devoir refaire la même chose sur place, c'était particulièrement long.

J'ai aimé cet hôtel mais j'ai fortement été dégouté par les conditions de travail employés qui sont sur-exploités !

Chaque semaine, ils ont des évaluations et s'ils n'atteignent pas une certaine note ils sont privés de leur seul jour de congé alors qu'ils travaillent déjà 6 jours sur 7, c'est clairement de l'esclavage moderne.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour entre amis!!
Et surtout un très bon souvenirs du buffet plus qu’excellent!! Un grand merci à Leila qui assure à fond!!! Et à tous bien entendu!!! 😉 le spa est génial!!! Piscine intérieure chauffée. Le seul bémol serait la plage et alentours. Pas entretenu du tout… mais cela n’a rien gâché !

Super hôtel

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette hôtel . Tout le personnel est aux petits soins pour vous un grand merci à eux .Le seul point négatif ce sont les nombreux chiens sur la plage qui nous ont effrayé et nous ont fait fuir immédiatement . Sinon, je recommande fortement cette hôtel, et je reviendrai probablement .

Je recommande! Après une mauvaise expérience en Tunisie il y a quelques années, l’iberostar méhari m’a réconcilié avec le pays. Personnel toujours très aimable, nourriture excellente, infrastructures soigneusement entretenues. Bref séjour parfait et rapport qualité-prix imbattable.

hotel et chambre très propres; Changement de chambre après un nuit car la chambre attribuée au départ ne correspondait pas à la demande. Repas copieux et produits frais.; Personnel très accueillant, notamment femmes de chambre et serveurs en salle.
Bémol : le nombre d'activités sportives à l'hôtel affichées en journée mais non disponibles , il aurait été bien d'informer la clientèle 24-48 H avant . Problème de wifi dans la chambre , de gros problèmes pour se connecter

Le service restauration et la présentation recherchée des plats et un plus pour cet hotel.
Pour les gourmands le buffet dessert est au top
Un satisfecit â la boulangere qui prépare le pain le matin et certains soirs. Il est excellent.
A revoir la wifi et les chaines de télévision qui ne sont pas à la hauteur du standing de l'hôtel

Le meilleur de Djerba …

Séjour de 14 nuits à l’iberostar mehari
La qualité de cet hôtel club ce fait dans les détails comme le service, la restauration, le « vrai » all inclusive.
L infrastructure est parfaite sauf petit bémol pour le restaurant centrale un peu vieillot et pas assez de places en terrasse …
Dans le top 3 des meilleurs club de Djerba !!
Bravo à la direction et ses équipes.

Hôtel familal et bruyant

Nous avons quitté l'Iberostar après la première nuit car l'hôtel est orienté familles et animations pour les enfants, et donc trop bruyant pour nous.
La chambre double est petite (la salle de bain minuscule) mais la literie de qualité.
Les repas sont variés et bons mais les places manquent sur la terrasse (où les fumeurs s'adonnent à leur plaisir sans gêne).
Le personnel à l'accueil aurait besoin d'une formation hôtelière correspondant aux étoiles de l'établissement.

Das Gute Vorweg: Es ist soweit sauber, die Anlage in Ordnung, das Personal ist bemüht und das Sicherheitsgefühl ist in Ordnung. EIN DICKES LOB AN DAS SICHERHEITSPERSONAL AN DER EINFAHRT! Sowas von nett und lustig - danke für den Spaß!

Was gefällt mir nicht: Das Essen hat den Style einer Bergarbeiterkantine. Nach Ankunft am Abend habe ich noch einen undefinierbaren Haufen aus zerkochtem Reis, Gemüse und (wahrscheinlich) Fleisch bekommen und wurde noch gefragt „GUT?“. Zum Frühstück stand der Rest dann noch auf dem Tisch in dem kantinenartigen Saal und ich konnte aus diversen „Haufen“ Frühstücksteilchen nehmen. An die Getränke in halbdurchsichtigen Plastikeimern hab ich mich nicht rangetraut. Die Zimmer sind nüchtern, nachdem die Ameisen vom Hausdienst vertrieben wurden auch soweit bewohnbar. Ich habe kein amerikanisches Bett erwartet, aber die Matratze war vom Härtegrad vergleichbar mit einem Sitz im Stadtbus von in Sankt Petersburg. Vom Animationsprogramm - das sich hinsichtlich Musikauswahl und Lautstärke offensichtlich an ältere Gäste richtet - hat man bis 23 Uhr auch im letzten Winkel der Anlage noch was. Der Strand vor dem Hotel beherbergt eine Sammlung Verpackungen des gesamten Sortimens aus dem nahegelegenen Supermarkt - mehrfach und lädt zum Baden ungefähr so ein wie Kinderplanschbecken einen Monat nach dem letzten Wassertausch.

Das Hotel richtet sich offensichtlich an Pauschaltouristen, die ihre Erfüllung in einem billigen Poolurlaub finden.
