So wanted to come here to stop in the Ice Hotel. Slept really well! On arrival they took you through the procedure for sleeping in the Ice room. The sleeping bags were very warm and due to my thermals I was very earm and comfortable. Theres places to sit if you needed to to come back in and warm up. Spar is great, breakfast good, lots of choice. If you dont have a car I do recommend booking the hotel shuttle. 500 nok one way and 25 mins to the airport.
I only stopped one night. Will definately be coming back again but for longer. This was at the end of a two week trip around Norway

Stay in the ice hotel

The snow/ice hotel looks like it was constructed in a hurry and not many ice carvings, compared to others in Scandinavia. There were many spots on the ceilings that looked like water had entered and different colors. Small details but not worthy of the price charged.
The main hotel facilities are fantastic and the staff was great!

Fantasy Experience

Awesome experience! Slept in the ice hotel for two nights and it was some of the best sleep I've had. If I had one criticism, it would be the lack of info on the website explaining how it all works (i.e. you don't get to leave any of your things in the room because they run tours during the day). Small thing though and well worth the expense and travel to do it.

Most amazing place we’ve ever been to. Don’t worry about the cold. You are provided more than ample sleeping bag and we actually found ourselves more than warm enough. The sculptures are stunning as is the lighting and quietness. The excursions available are fantastic and if more than one night in ice hotel is enough for you, you can move into a regular indoor hotel room. There is ample warm common spaces to spend your day relaxing and sitting in front of a fire if you’d like.

Overall, good experience. Nice facilities, friendly staff and beautiful igloo hotel. I thought it was weird that we had to pick up our sleeping bags and pillows and carry them to our room inside the igloo. That process could be more seamless but everything else was great!

We absolutely had the most amazing time at sorrisniva last week, even with a couple hiccups. We reserved the hot tub, but our time was cut short due to someone else reserving it, but it really wasn’t a big deal to us and the hotel staff still discounted the price for the hot tub. We ate the most amazing dinner we had in our entire trip to Norway, the food was absolutely delicious! We then had a northern lights tour scheduled, the weather wasn’t that great the week we went and it was rainy and cloudy and unfortunately we didn’t see any northern lights that night but the guide was awesome. On our way back the road was so icy downhill that we slid off. My boyfriend and another man from the tour hopped out and pushed the van out of the deep snow. We were back on the road! But 5 minutes later we were sliding down the hill and went right back into the snow. We all hopped out and walked down the hill (I slipped a few times) and the owner from sorrisniva came and picked us up. However there wasn’t enough room for all of us so my boyfriend stayed behind to walk with the guide. Even though things didn’t go as planned, this made our adventure even more memorable. The staff was amazing and made sure we all got back safely. We also did the snowmobile tour in the morning before we left and this was my favorite part of our entire Norway experience. We drove up to the top of a mountain and it was untouched as far as I could see. We flipped our sled but it was still so amazing!!! Thank you!

The igloo hotel was an amazing experience! It was as cool as it looks (literally and figuratively). I was pleasantly surprised how well I slept in the igloo in spite of the fact that I have difficulty sleeping regularly. As long as you wear a lot of layers you'll be fine. I wore 2 pairs of wool socks, long underwear, pj pants, thermal shirt, hoodie, gloves, and a thin down jacket and was fine. The main downside of the hotel is just that the main \"living room\" area is very small. We got there late in the afternoon and went on the lights safari while we were there, and dog sledding early the next day, but if we had more time to spend at the hotel it would have been less than ideal. There's nothing really in the area so I'd highly recommend getting out and doing activities anyway though.

Di per sé l'hotel é molto bello e pulito, ho avuto un problema con la camera suite igloo ( non mi sono sentita bene all'interno) cosi dopo esserci rimasta per meno di 1h ho chiesto il cambio della camera e di averne una normale, il ragazzo mi aveva detto che avrei pagato solo la differenza fra le due camere invece il mattino dopo mi é stato detto che avrei pagato l'intera camera ( con uno sconto) comunque più di quanto preventivato, anche perche mi avesse detto questo la sera magari avrei rifiutato e sarei rimasta nella zona di attesa piuttosto. Da un hotel di quel calibro non mi aspettavo questo colpo basso.

Ambiance et dépaysement total. Expérience insolite dans un très bel hôtel 4 étoiles. Petit dej top, et très bonne organisation.
Après la nuit d hôtel, le sauna était inclus et était très apprécié.

L’hôtel est très beau : l’igloo, la réception, le restaurant, les différents petits coins pour chiller au chaud près de la cheminée. C’est aussi chouette de se promener en chaussons dans l’hôtel.
Par contre, la nourriture et le service sont médiocre et pas du tout à la hauteur du prix facturé et des prestations d’un hôtel 4 étoiles.
20€ une soupe sans pain ni rien.
30€ pour un burger sans trop de goût.
5€ pour un ramequin de chips malgré plusieurs cocktails et bières commandées pendant l’après midi.
Le cocktail que j’avais commandé en apéritif à dîner est arrivé juste avant le dessert… Le petit déjeuner est très basique. Les bonnes choses (omelettes, bacon, avocado toast et même le capuccino) sont en supplément !)
Enfin, le taxi commandé par l’hôtel qui devait nous coûté 500 krn (40€), nous a coûté 950 krn (80€).
Nous sommes contents d’avoir vécu l’expérience du igloo par contre nous n’y retournerons pas et nous ne le recommanderons pas non plus.
De plus des enfants qui courent et qui crient partout.

Stunning and uncomfortable

It may not come as a surprise that sleeping in an igloo is not overly comfortable. I loved the overall experience, and the ice art is incredible. That said, it was much more comfortable to sleep in the lodge and just visit the ice hotel to admire the art. The staff is super helpful, friendly and sweetly authentic. This is one place that still has soul, does not feel like a corporation.

Only worth it if u Gona sleep in a igloo suit

I only recomend one day here and only for the experience of sleeping in the suites at the Ice hotel. The 2 best rooms are Aladdin and Divine Femenine. The ice hotel is more like a museum everyone can come to look at the suites and nornal rooms beetwen 10 am and 20.00 in the nigth. After that the ice hotel is only for guests sleeping there. Is cold -5 aprox but u will Get very good sleeping bags and pilows. I asked for extra sleeping bag to be more confortable. The system is that the first guests ariving will choose the suit they like. The ice bar is open 4 times a day only 1 hour at the time and you can only choose beetwen one alcohol free lemonade and a vodka with Curaçao the price is 10-12 euro pr shot glass wich are made of ice. We eated at the Lavoo restaurant couse we saw it had betyr review on internet but the food was disappointing. Don’t eat there couse there are many other restaurants near. Massage over rated and u most pay to use the sauna amd jacuzzi if u wana use it the same day u arive,35 euro or person. I have many recomendations more for this hotel. Flott hotell og konseptet med ishotell. Veldig god frokost. Det ble diverse strømbrudd som så ut til å skape det totale kaos. De klarte ikke servere, ikke styr på hva som ble belastet på rom, så det ble bare tatt etter innfallsmetoden virket det som. Vi var en gruppe på 8 personer som ble overfakturerte. De klarte ikke organisere avtalt transport til flyplass. Vi hadde en time i jacuzzi hvor vi var lovet service, men alt uteble, med unntak av faktureringen. Jeg håper alt dette skyltes strømbruddene og at det normalt sett er bedre styring på ting.

Wir hatten für eine Nacht eine der Suiten im Iglu-Hotel gebucht - tolle Erfahrung! Frieren muss man nicht! Die Sauna am nächsten Morgen war Klasse! Wir hatten für den Tag danach außerdem im Hotel noch eine Snowmobil -Tour gebucht. Können wir nur empfehlen! Bucketlist - Done!

un hotel molto particolare, sicuramente da vedere se si ha un pò di spirito d'avventura. la camera è nella parte di ghiaccio della struttura, si dorme bene anche se la temperatura non è proprio estiva..
lo staff è estramente gentile e la location veramente molto suggestiva. le escursioni sono indimentabili.
