We as family of 4 stayed in a room. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Hotel is right in the centre of the city and very conveniently located. Bust stop is just about 150 metres away and it took 15 minutes by bus from the airport. Amfi Mall is right near the hotel and several shops and eateries are around the hotel. The hotel is a good value for money with friendly and helpful staff.

This hotel is vastly underrated. It's really cute, quiet and lots of bonus amenities not mentioned (discounts at local restaurants, gift shop, etc.) I stayed at another local hotel in Alta when I returned from my excursions, and Canyon cost less, but was much nicer. If I return to Alta, I would absolutely stay here again.

Wouldn’t recommend staying. Not a quiet place to stay nothing to do with hotel residents but maybe hotel bar downstairs. people outside (-15 degrees) shouting and screaming at each other until police turned up.

We stayed here 3 nights. First- if you are considering going to Alta- do it. This was our favorite location during our two week trip to Norway. The \"downtown\" area is one pedestrian street the equivalent of 4 blocks. The Canyon sits almost right in the center. There is an indoor shopping center almost across from the hotel which gave us some nice escape from the cold. Anything you may need is there- it was also just fun to walk around. The hotel is very nice with a wonderful restaurant on the first floor, that also served free breakfast. The rooms are large, clean and well appointed. The staff was wonderful and helpful. If you are going to Alta and are looking for a great place to stay you will not be disappointed in the Canyon

I really liked the code in the main door and rooms for ease of entry and check in. Getting to the point of receiving the code wasn’t as easy. I had to reach out to Expedia to assist as the instructions for check in were to reach out to the hotel before arrival so I messaged through Expedia since we had no other contact info and didn’t receive a response. A little nerve wracking in the midst of international travel. Once expedia reached out to the hotel and provided an email address we did eventually get what we needed and it was very seamless.

I liked the hotel, it's not too big, is located in the center of the city, nice clean rooms, nice beds, good breakfast (there is what you need) would though have preferred the breakfast was open until 10 AM on weekdays, nice people at the reception and the staff is very helpful (especially the German lady from Berlin).
However I will most likely not stay at the hotel another time because of the poor internet.
In the room there's a nice big flat screen TV, but there's no TV channels. Instead there's a ChromeCast attached to the TV so you can cast from your device to the TV. It's okay by me as an Android user, but I wonder about iPhone/iPad users.
The problem is that the internet connection is very unstable and fluctuates between 0,5 Mb/s - 6 Mb/s. As a result viewing e.g. live TV on your iPad (e.g. NRK 1), there's a lot of reloads, connection lost etc. This even though there's a Wi-Fi device on the other side of the door.
You can argue that you are not going to Alta in order to watch TV at your hotel room, but there are times where you are tired after a long day and just want to relax watching some TV.
Perhaps the entire area has poor internet connectivity. I don't know, but for another time, I would choose another hotel.

Canyon on ihan Altan keskustassa. Pettymys oli, ettei hotellilla ollut mitään autopaikkoja (kaikkihan tulevat tänne autolla), mutta illalla niitä sitten löytyi paremmin. Keskustassa tehtiin rakennustöitä, mikä vähän vaikeutti kaupungin hahmottamista. Ihan hyvä yöpyminen, aamiainenkin riittävä.

Die Zimmer sehen auf den ersten Blivk modern aus, leider waren sie nicht so funktional. Dusche setzt ganzes Badezimmer unter Wasser, Rolladen 1 Ging zu amchr aber nicht dunkel. Rolladen 2 war nichtmal vorhanden. nicht so toll in einem Ort in dem 2 Monate die Sonne nicht untergeht! Fernseher vorhanden, aber keon Signal. also nutzlos. Frühstück war gut.

O hotel é muito bom, atendimento excelente, café da manhã bom, apenas o detalhe da cama, onde o colchão já passou da época de ser trocado, no que você deita o colchão do quarto 315 simplesmente afunda, molenga demasiadamente!!! Hora de trocar Canyon Hotek, do restante nossa estadia foi ótima!!!

Die Einrichtung ist schon etwas in die Tage gekommen und traditionell, passt aber zum Land und zur Umgebung.
Man hat überall Strom und Internet, nur das TV Gerät war nicht wirklich zu benutzen da kein TV empfang vorhanden war, weder einheimische noch fremde Sender.
Aber das Türschild für Green Guest wurde wirklich respektiert und es ist auch niemand zum reinigen da gewesen.

Very nice hotel with big rooms in a good location. The staff was amazing helpful and the service was great. We was checking out before breakfast, but they made breakfast for takeaway so we could bring it with us. If I go back to Alta, I will for sure come back to this hotel.

I stayed for 4 nights in canyon hotel in Alta. The owner really takes care of you, and making a really good atmosphere and made my stay a good experience. Really nice breakfast every morning, and even that I arrived late at night, the owner called to inform about the entrance. This is not the last time I have visited canyon hotel in Alta.

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Good dinner and breakfast. But the small citycentre around is astonishingly ugly. I went for the superb Rockart museum and moved on.

Hotellet var perfekt til vårt behov for en hotellovernatting i Alta. Hyggelig betjening, enkelt å sjekke inn, stort rom med gode senger og romslig bad. Fikk med oss frokostpakke da vi skulle med et tidlig fly og hotellet bestilte taxi. Resturanten fikk vi ikke testet, men det var servering av både mat og drikke. Sentral beliggenhet like ved Nordlyskatedralen og AMFI kjøpesenter. Dette hotellet kan vi anbefale
