We have 3 nights stayed there with wonderful and friendly staffs.
Breakfast is good, quiet and peaceful place.
We are lucky got to see Aurora for 2 nights and 2 full days trekking at Gargia mountain.
The most important thing is the staff all are very friendly and helpful on our need for 3 days there, definitely will come back again for my future trip.

a perfect spot for winter lovers
A wonderful quiet spot for a short winter break with lovely natural suroundings and everything one wishes for in a remote location. We had the luxury of being the only visitors for 3 days and enjoyed great service all for ourselves. A perfect place if you look for a cosy remote winter holiday

I hadn't realized how far out Gargia Fjellstue was when booking, we definitely needed the car we rented on recommendation from a friend, but it was worth the drive as the area is so beautiful. The Wifi was not as good as I hoped for, couldn't connect on my phone at all and my computer was tough to access my work server, but better than the remote island in Finnmark we had previously been on for a week. The food is DELICIOUS! Also a great value. Would definitely recommend having dinner there. The hot tub was nice, but an extra charge of 150kr per person, so a bit steep. Worth it for the privacy and view though. The kitchenette in the room was well equipped for a hotel, and we had brought some snacks so made it easy to cook breakfast ourselves. The bathroom though was a bit small and the shower didn't drain so great so the floors would be really wet. Overall the room is a bit cheap construction, which is surprising for Norway where everything is usually the best grade materials. Missing some little touches I am used to here, like heated floors, but nothing to knock them down on, just a little surprising. The service was great though and they were very helpful and nice to us, so that made up for any small shortcomings.

Et hyggelig opphold i forbindelse med en bursdagsfeiring. Rommet var disponibelt straks vi ankom Gargia Lodge. Etter innsjekk gikk turen til Alta Canyon. Etter turen spiste vi deilig middag i restauranten. Alle ansatte var hyggelige og hjelpsomme, og vi kommer garantert tilbake ved en senere anledning.

Et herlig sted for turister.
Nå var det ikke Guri som var der. Hun bestilte for meg. Men oppholdet var greit. Dette er jo et sted for turister, og jeg er forretningsmann på jobb - uten mulig rom å oppdrive på hotellene i Alta. Ett nattbord gjorde derfor tjeneste som skrivepult for PC-en. Alt går. Men maten var god, og servicen upåklagelig. Anbefales som feriested - men ikke som den som må arbeide bak en PC på sine reiser.

3 mil unna Alta sentrum så ble taxi opp en dyr kostnad, men tjente den igjen da jeg reiste med skolebuss ned til Alta dagen etter.
Kan absolutt anbefales for dem som har bil, og også vil oppleve Nordlyset.
