The room had a spacious balcony terrace ( room 202) that had a Matterhorn view. The room had a comfortable bed and wonderful duvets. The room smelled of new wood and was spotless.

The hotel is connected to Slalom Ski shop where you can rent skis and bring your skis directly to the ski locker room that the hotel provides as an amenity.

The hotel is connected to a good restaurant with a wonderful staff. The restaurant also has a terrace outside with Matterhorn view.

The hotel has an amazing spa with an indoor and outdoor relaxation pool, two saunas, snow room for cool down and two rooms for relaxation areas.

The location is perfect to walk to ski lift, hiking trails, shopping, restaurants and museum.

Everything at La Couronne hotel was amazing. The reviews and description of this property was spot on. We had a balcony with a view of the Matterhorn and the beautiful town of Zermatt. The staff was friendly, the morning breakfast was simple and light, the Old Zermatt restaurant at the hotel was convenient. We had lunch & dinner there, the food was wonderful and staff was delightful. We had a massage at this amazing spa, both my husband and I agree it was the best massage ever! The spa facilities were amazing! Everything from a cold room, steam, sauna, indoor and outdoor pool, and relaxation area. We were here for three days, but could have stayed a week! I highly recommend this property!

Perfect hotel!

The hotel was perfect! The rooms were spacious and the views of the Matterhorn were amazing! Everyone was wonderful but Sandra at the front desk was a standout! She helped us plan our days and gave us great information about the hotel and village. She even remembered it was my birthday and surprised me with a sweet little treat! We’ll definitely be back and won’t stay anywhere but here!

The staff was warm, engaging and very helpful. The location was excellent. The offered a free pickup and return to/from the train station, which was very helpful. We had a junior suite with a balcony facing The Matterhorn and the view was spectacular. The room was very clean and comfortable, and offered a device that drew cool, fresh outdoor air into the room. Would highly recommend the hotel.

Very nice and well located hotel

La Couronne is very well located (about 600m to the glacier paradise gondola and 300m to the banhoffstrasse) and has a ski shop, ski room, sauna and a very nice restaurant. The rooms are very nice and the best of the hotel is its amazing buffet breakfast in the winter garden with a spectacular view of the Matterhorn.
The staff is fantastic!
I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel location was a short walk across a small bridge to the BahnhofStrasse (Main Street) with nice restaurants and good shopping. The hotel provided a complimentary taxi from and to the Bahnhof train station (actully ann electric vehicle as it is a car free town).
View of Matterhorn from the hotel breakfast room and balacony was sensational. The cog train to the Grongrat mountain was great. Used our Swiss Rail pass to get it at half price (Full price was 83CHF EACH with Swiss pass it was 43CHF return each.
Staff at hotel were very courteous, friendly and helpful. The hotel was a chalet type as are all the hotels in Zermatt. Would recommend highly.
Visit the Matterhorn Muesum in the centre of town (only 10CHF each) and we spent a lot time there.

Pleasant hotel in excellent location

Hotel is in an excellent location in the heart of the village within walking distance of the rail station. As you walk out of the hotel, you get a view of the Matterhorn. The room was modern, comfortable and of adequate size. We did not have a view of the Matterhorn, but some rooms would. Nice breakfast, but the best feature is the bright solarium type room in which it is held. Another nice view of the Matterhorn is available from that room.

Hotel's location is good & our room is clean. Once you exit the front doors & walk to the road, if the weather is clear, you can see the Matterhorn. People will stand there to take photos of it. A good variety of breakfast foods. There are changing rooms & showers available for use after you have checked out. Cornelia (at front desk) is very helpful, knows Zermatt well & is kind. She called a taxi for us & gave us a voucher for it when she heard that we wanted to catch an earlier train that leave in 15 minutes. All this without us asking her to do so.

Had a room with a view of the Matterhorn and it was unforgettable....these rooms are AMAZING!!! This was my favourite hotel experience in my one month of european travelling. Loved the skylights in the bathroom and bedroom, taking full advantage of the surrounding mountains (you could also close these with remote control when sleeping). I would definitely stay here again!!!

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Hotel La Couronne over Christmas this year. The price of the room was a bit high, but what *isn't* expensive in Switzerland... and especially in Zermatt? The location of the hotel was great... right next to a ski bus stop and had several good pubs and restaurants nearby. The staff were amazing and helped answer all of our questions on our first stay here. We couldn't ask for more!

Location was great for all the trains and rail activities in the city. Service was exemplary and the restaurant was superb. We had the specials of the day at the restaurant and we thought it ranked top tier - probably in top 3 of all the places we ate in Italy and Switzerland over the past month. Room was alpine, comfortable, and just enough room. They have a shuttle to pick up and drop off at airport if you ask. Wifi was fine.

We were very pleasantly surprised by everything about the Hotel Couronne. The staff was very accommodating and helpful about getting us information or anything we required which included rental ski equipment, discounted lift tickets, hiking path & spa recommendations, dinner reservations and much more. The hotel was very clean, centrally located on the river running through town right accross from the Grand Hotel Zermatterhof, had a great restaurant/bar on-site, a ski shop and a place to keep your equipment. They also had a great breakfast buffet (hot and cold items including eggs, bacon/sausage, breads & rolls with butter and jams, cheeses, sliced deli meats, fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, juices, teas, coffees, and hot chocolates) which was included in the price of our room and the room itself was bright and had a great view of the Matterhorn. The only possible negatives were no toiletries provided other than a combination of liquid body wash/shampoo (no little bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, hand soap, etc., so if you prefer these, bring your own supply) and the mattresses were very firm (platform style beds with no extra padding on the mattress) so if you're used to a cushiony mattress, these might take some getting used to. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering a visit to Zermatt, Switzerland.

The positives: location is central, right near ski bus; the included breakfast is great before a day on the slopes; the room was spacious. The negatives: the beds are HARD; the room we had (room 106) with a \"Matterhorn view\" only had a view when walking out onto the patio when you were then staring into the breakfast area (could not see Matterhorn from room!); the front desk service was hit or miss - very rude when we arrived but great when we left.

Across the bridge from the old part of town

The location was great! It's on the river in the middle of town. On the other side of the bridge (which the hotel is next to) is the bus stop to take you to the ski lifts. Over the bridge and 100 yards up a slight hill is the old church. Around the corner from the church begins the main street with most of the shopping & restaurants. The breakfast room features a great view of the Matterhorn. You get a discount at the ski shop that is in the same building as the hotel. I bought our lift tickets at the hotel too. They have a room to store your skis and racks that blow air to dry your boots. The basics: friendly, helpful staff and clean comfortable room. Call ahead if you know when you're train is arriving. They will pick you up. The half mile or so from the train station to the hotel is an expensive cab ride. We spent 4 nights at La Couronne. If I return to Zermatt, I'm staying here!

Wow - what a view !

We spent a lot of time looking for our hotel in Zermatt with it being our first visit and only for one night. We chose very well indeed! We had a deluxe mountain view room and it was exactly as described with a completely unobstructed view of the Matterhorn which at 7am was set against a perfectly clear blue sky. The room was comfortably furnished and well appointed with a balcony. Staff were friendly and quickly arranged a pick-up from the station on our arrival. The breakfast room leads through to a large balcony area and while there is no bar service you can take drinks out and soak up the atmosphere. Everything in the town is no more than a 5 minute walk away with a wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants. In the end we ate in the Old Zermatt restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel and had an excellent meal. We were able to leave our bags after check out to give us the opportunity to explore a bit before leaving on an afternoon train - once again a complimentary transfer was provided.

We walked around, drove around, and took trains all over this area, and the literally the best view of the Matterhorn that we found was from the front steps on this hotel. It is a great location, with huge rooms (very rare in Europe), and great service. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

全て清潔でスパは素晴らしい　ただマッサージのサービスはひどかったので星一減　時間通りに帰る事を最優先していた
