2020, our hotel provides a newer feel to this older town. Wildwood is often referred to as The Crossroads of Florida due its centralized location and easy access to both Interstate 75 and the Florida Turnpike.

* The bathroom electrical outlet wasn't working
* The shower doors were hung incorrectly
* The room was missing a chair that was the same room on another floor
* The breakfast ends way too early. If you're there on vacation, sometimes it's hard to get down there by 9 am.
* The coffee bar was a nice touch

Disappointing stay overall. The queen bed felt smaller than expected and only three shower towels were provided for a reservation of four. The toilet paper was almost finished on arrival and there was a hair on the toilet seat. The most annoying issue was a malfunctioning light above the TV that could only be turned off by going behind the TV and switching it off manually. Room 217 (stay away:)

The room was not cleaned prior to my arrival. Refrigerator had leftover food, microwave had food stains, bathroom had spiders and wall stains. When i spoke with front desk, i was told no more rooms available to transfer me to and that housekeeping left at 4pm and no vody was available to clean the room I was given.
Check in front lady that was there when i arrived after 6pm was not pleasant and responded unkindly to my 7 year old daughter.
Overall, will not be returning to this hotel.

5-star service, comfort, and a clean, well-maintained property. We were very pleased with our stay. The lady at the front desk knew we would be arriving late and took such great care of our family. She had the pull-out bed ready for us, extra pillows waiting, and was incredibly thoughtful and accommodating. She even offered a late check-out and helped us find nearby parking. The level of kindness and customer service went far beyond what you’d typically expect. The beds were comfortable, the room was spotless, and we would absolutely stay here again.

If I had any comments on room for improvement, it would be that our toilet was wobbly, the shower doors were super hard to open and shut, and it backs to a trailer park that plays music on some nights.

We booked a pet and when we arrived to check in, they wanted and did, charge us again for the pet. They acted as if we were hiding the pet, but she is not hide able and we booked this hotel because they allow pets. ANYWAY, took for ever to check in. One lady was nice, the other H$LL bent on charging again. Finally, I offered to give her my credit card so that we could just check in and once she figured out how, she could charge us again, to just go ahead and do it. It was only 10 minutes to the Villages and shopping, both grocery and other shops. We had a free breakfast which was good. Standard kind with a good selection Did not use the pool, too cold.
