Our visit was OK, no major problems. But the hotel itself is of need of a major upgrade and renovation. Because we spent 4 nights ( not just 1-2or 2), we regret not trying Brownwood.

We stayed at the Waterside Inn and it was great. My wife and I really enjoyed how clean and inviting the hotel is. Highly recommend staying there.

Only one serious problem! Our room over looked the pool and lake. But around 12:30am I woke up to what seemed to be a pool party! I looked out the sliding glass door and saw about five guys cleaning the pool. Great idea to clean the pool at night but let’s not forget people are sleeping too!

Pool and gym was as good as always. We found the mattress pad had several bad stains on it, had to have it replaced. One front desk employee was very short with me when I asked her to please the empty coffee containers. I was standing on the side of the desk when she allowed another guest to approach her for check out when I was there before that guest. She changed my morning outlook.

No breakfast ! The pool closes at 10:00 about 8 o’clock we asked the front desk if the pool was heated and the clerk said yes and the pool closes at ten. So we get the children dressed and went down to the pool at 8:35. Then at 8:45 am attended told us we had to be out of the pool by nine. Literally having to get a five year old and a four year old out of the pool just minutes before they had to get out. This was the start of a crying hour. When I complained at the front desk to the person that said it would be open until ten. She then told me the woman who told us to get out was wrong and we could return back to the pool. Now the kids are wet and crying nobody wants to go back in the pool. Ruined our night and pissed off other guests who also had to get out dry off etc. never again it sucked !
