The staff could not have been any more friendly and helpful. We had booked two king suites and mine and my husbands was clean and bed was very comfortable. The coffee maker did not seem to work in our room and the TV kept losing connection which was one issue the staff was unable to help with. My daughters room on the other hand had a VERY bad food odor that would not go away. The staff tried spraying the room and did offer for my daughter to switch rooms, but unfortunately they could not offer one on the same floor as us. Being that she had our granddaughter with her she wanted to stay beside us for convenience. The smell lasted the entire duration of our 4 day trip. Pool water was cold and a little cloudy, breakfast was decent. The hotel was clean and again the staff were wonderful and very friendly. It was a good location for getting to the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum as well as close to dining options. I would stay there again. J Ward

The pool is very small, our room didn’t have a/c it was 77 degrees in our room, and 80 degrees outside, it was miserably hot, our door lock was coming away from the door, we arrived around 7:15pm at night and had to wait for a clean room, which is crazy because we were well past check in time, water was like warm at best for a shower, limited towels because they didn’t have any clean, overall terrible experience and would not recommend.

The staff was great! We had a flat tire. The people at the front desk allowed us to stay in the lounge while it was being serviced.
The reason we chose the hotel was an indoor pool. The pool was not open during our stay. If I knew this while booking, we would have chose another hotel. Also, one of the bed linens were stained from fresh coffee.

When we checked into our room, the door was already propped open, the TV was on and the bed had been sat on. Clerk said housekeeping must have done that by accident but it certainly did seem awkward. Requested another room but they were sold out. Probably my last stay at a Main Stay.

My stay here was easy and very satisfying! Check in was a breeze and all the information was given to us right away. We had a great room and the lobby was very clean and organized.
Room cleaning didn’t come as I thought they would so that kind of sucked but they had someone at the front desk so we just went there.
There was a time we went to get snacks from the little store area and no one was for for a few minutes so that sucked too but we made due still enjoyed our stay.
Staff is friendly, wonderful, informative, and secure. The place is beautiful and cozy. It almost felt like we had our own apartment for real. My stay was amazing and we all enjoyed it (baby included) so i definitely will be booking here again if I can and recommending to everyone to stay here!

We found the room cleaned as good as my children would have cleaned it. The floor was dirty and a few wrappers tucked into the corner. The spackle was coming off the walls and it didnt look great. The guests upstairs at 11pm sounded like they were wearing concrete slippers. The coffee and juice bar that was supposed to be on 24/7 was turned off. The tv was a roku and you had to sign into with your own passwords to watch which i didnt understand i just wanted normal tv. The breakfast was nonexistent and we had to wait for more to be made. We ended up leaving not very happy with the service.

Waited over 10 minutes for someone to even come to the desk to check us in. I had to call the phone number to get someone's attention. Went up to the room, it was propped open and the TV was on. Front desk said it must've been housekeeping that left it open but it made us uncomfortable. The pool was completely covered in white foam. We asked if it was safe to swim and the front desk had no idea. Overall room was decently clean. Breakfast had a good variety.

I booked a handicap accessible room but did not get one. Luckily they had a bath chair we could use. When we checked in we did not have any towels in our room. We had a kitchen but all of the dishes were put away dirty. We had no housekeeping services during our 4 day stay. We had to ask to get new towels and have our garbage's emptied. The bathrooms were pretty dirty (grout and around the tub). Everything else was good.

There were 3 blood stains in the hotel itself.. the TV wouldnt work for all 3 daya we were there..the front desk called mamagement and maintenence several times and promised to get with me BUT never did. The cleaning/check in staff were wonderful. Management needs a lot of work.

The hotel seemed new, but they must have a lot of construction workers staying there for extended stays. The floors are all dirty. Our room was dirty on arrival. We needed them to come in and vacuum the floors and clean the microwave. That was after I wiped everything down with my Lysol wipes. Even had to wipe the wall. The shower curtain had brown staines on it.

Spacious and clean room, newer facility, friendly check-in staff, convenient location close to Georgetown. Breakfast was so-so, workout room had free weights, but cardio was limited and elliptical was broken. Manager was very helpful with a booking issue. All in all, we can recommend this MainStay and would stay here again.

Front desk was friendly but not a lot of staff availability to ask questions or to refill food and coffee at breakfast. The room had a bad odour, the wifi wasn't working and the shower wasn't working. The floors and carpets looked dirty in the room and in hotel halls and lobby.
The toilet made the loudest flush that made every one of our family jump every time😆 Let's just say this wasn't our best hotel experience.

This is the worst hotel me and my family have ever stayed in. We booked our room two weeks ahead of time and paid for everything through expedia. We got there late one evening after driving all day, and checked in to a room that wasnt clean. We told the lady at the front desk the room wasnt cleaned, and we had to wait over an hour for them to clean it. We went back to our room and it STILL wasnt clean. The Tv was broken when we got there, and we had to wait for the maintenence guy the next day to come install a new one. More of our time lost. The room wasnt stocked with the necessary linens and toiletries. The shower head didnt work in the one bathroom. The staff was a really sketchy group of people. Didnt feel safe staying there with our kids. And to top it all off ive got my bank dealing with fraudulent charges from them on my credit card for $500 . Do yourselves a favor, dont go to the mainstay suites in georgetown, ky. Or any.

Our room was excellent and clean. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Our room had everything we needed; full size fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, dishwasher, sink, and even a hot plate. Our WiFi was not working properly but the TV did have live channels. The kids enjoyed the pool and breakfast was good too, with several options. We could hear kids running in the room above us but it wasn’t bad. Would definitely stay again.

Check in was fine. The room was okay. Bathroom light switch was broken and the heat/ AC fan would not turn off, even when turned off on the wall thermostat. It was also extremely loud. The room next to us played loud music until 1am. This could be heard in the hallway and even on the elevator. The pool was not clean and there were not any towels. Also the elevator certification had expired in 2023. Breakfast was also pretty disappointing.

The hotel itself is a great location right off the highway and in excellent condition. We have stayed here twice in the last month and the facility is fine. My concerns are not about the hotel itself but about the staff. The first time we stayed here we walked past the desk clerk who was smoking a cigarette outside the front door and we wait about five minutes for her to finish her cigarette. This trip the desk clerk was curt, did not smile even once and was doing a phone call through her ear bud while checking us in. When we got to our room we find all the dishes still in the dishwasher and slimy. What this all comes down to is either lack of supervision or poor supervision

TERRIBLE! If I could give LESS than 1 star I would. Room was dirty and they wouldn’t let us switch rooms. Dirty= like hair and trash, and toilet paper pieces left on the floor. We left to eat while it was supposed to be “deep cleaned” and that didn’t happen. WORST front desk service when I explained that the room was still disgusting.
It wasn’t a random dirty room either. The people that walked in around the same time I did, also came back to say they had a dirty room and the front desk would not move them to a new room. They claimed they couldn’t because their boss would let them.
I will NEVER stay here again and I travel to the area often. I will also tell everyone I know to never stay in this hotel.
I’ll be calling to talk to someone about this situation. Don’t STAY here!!

Liked full size fridge & dishwasher. Job ended two days early. Wife called front desk and they said no problem. Went to front desk, it was unattended. Waited 10 miles, left key cards in basket. Began drive home. Wife called front desk at 2:12pm to confirm 2 day refund would be issued. Wife was told clerk had to get ok from GM & will call back. Two hours later wife called was told she should’ve called by 2 so there will be no refund. Have been trying to reach GM since 7/17. Always an excuse. Now have Corporate involved. Doubt I’ll
get refund for two nights. Will never stay at this brand again. Should’ve stayed at the Marriott, which is our preferred brand.

Great bang for your buck!

The hotel room was a King w/ a kitchenette and a pull-out bed. For the price it was a very nice room. The shower had a lot of soap scum built up which is indicative of it not being thoroughly cleaned often and the breakfast the following morning was all ulta-processed foods except for some fruit. Beyond these two things, it was a great stay.

This is a spacious, modern and well appointed hotel. We only stayed for one night prior to experiencing the Ark Encounter. Lady at the front desk was great. The only downside, was pubic hairs in the bathroom basin, which was very off-putting.

At arrival the check-in was a mess and I could not get my stay points.
I stayed 3 nights, my daughter had a separate room..very similar. No iron, no points, minimal dishes.

My rant:
Go into the room, there were paw prints on the pull out sofa sheets, eww.
The dishwasher was full of prev tenants dishes..because machine didn't work. Hotel sent a maint guy who worked on it, made it hum. Before bro made it to the elevator, machine clunked and didn't work. Re-told them, but it's weekend.. nothing done.
I paid for the \"suite\", so I could cook and not eat out.. too bad for that plan.
No dishes available, there was a single spoon in the drawer (I'm not washin someone else dirty dishes, again ewww)

Breakfast? (Continental? Where?) What a joke. Empty @1.5hrs to go/be open. Asked for refill, got attitude (from server, not desk staff). No tea bags, no creamer, yogurt, eggs and meat all empty. Waffle maker... only one for how many guests? Bro made 4 for his kids/2 self...others waiting too long wait!!!
Milk spilled across counter, cereal about empty..c'mon DO BETTER!

Up on floor, garbage cans overflowed 3ft beyond the pretty large can, stinky, unkempt.

Final straw? The ONE elevator for the whole property, yeah the inspection/certificate posted inside is E.X.P.I.R.E.D.

Have stayed many places. Seems like I have no recourse, if on-site staff won't/can't do whats needed!!

Not worth my hard-earned dollars. Won't be back. Will tell others to caution.

This hotel has great potential. They had a nice pool and the rooms were huge with 2 beds, a couch and a kitchenette with all the basics needed. Unfortunately our room was only partially clean (toilet was dirty, floors hadn’t been vacuumed, dirty dishes still in the dishwasher and no replacement sheets for pullout couch) . We did complain and the lady at the desk offered to have it better cleaned for us but that should have already been done. She stated they had new cleaning staff that were just learning but then someone should be inspecting the rooms prior to having someone stay in them. Breakfast in the morning was good, but they didn’t offer as much choice as other hotels.

All of the employees that I meet were very friendly and helpful, but for a newer hotel it was nasty in the room. Had to go down to the front desk to get something to clean with because the tables were dirty, chairs were nasty, bathroom sliding doors were dirty and the breakfast was cold and not done! I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay at this facility and I probably won’t be back.

I checked into a suite at Mainstay tonight at 10PM that is costing me over $200 Canadian for the night (Mainstay charges $114USD so the Expedia markup is large) and it is in a disgusting state. How is the room not clean and ready by 10PM?!?

My family is exhausted from travelling all day and would like to access the room that we're paying for, but have to sit and wait in the lobby until 11PM for it to be cleaned. This is NOT good value for what we are paying.

The check-in lady was amazing, as was any staff interaction. No coffee working for patrons at breakfast. What? You have to make it in your room. Order a box or two of coffee from Dunkin donuts or something. We paid a lot of money to stay there. Under the sink in the kitchenette area were 2 large garage bags full, that were there when we got there. How crazy. The people were very sweet, all the ladies that work there.

- staff was kind and gave us extra blankets when we asked
- breakfast was good and had lots of choices

Cons:
- staff seemed short staffed and overwhelmed. Seemed one person was running two hotels by themselves
-rooms were not that clean.
- pool was a little small and the room was echoey. Wish there was a hot tub
- the hotel itself was freezing. It was hot outside but it was like a fridge in the lobby

Overall it worked great for our stay because we had 12 people going to ark and could fit into two rooms plus for breakfast each morning. Mainly wish the rooms were a little cleaner when we arrived.

No coffee available in the lobby for breakfast. Dispenser was out of order, and there was not a backup plan. Not going to go back to my room to make it in a 1 cup pot.
Staff were sweet and kind, but obviously under staffed. But they were making the best of it.

Very low quality hotel and service

The hotel is ok; but when we checked in; the room had just been cleaned supposedly; but when we entered the toilet had vomit stains inside and the outside of it. Very disgusting to find a hotel bathroom in that condition.

I was booked to stayed for two nights and on the second day my door cards got de-activated; then a few hours later they got de-activated again; such an inconvenience getting to the room with family and having to go down and get new door cards.

Lastly the pool door did not unlock and no one had an answer as to why it did not worked. Was just told that maintenance needs to be call but no explanation if the pool was going to be reopened. Such a hectic experience since pool was main reason why the hotel was chosen.

I don't even know where to start!! We arrived around 9:30p after traveling for 15 hours. Our room wasn't ready. They found us a different room. The bathroom had poop splattered all over in the toilet, hair in the bathtub, water in the bathtub which wouldn't drain, no sheets for the pull out couch. We were told breakfast would be available until 11a but everything was cleaned up and put away by 10. The coffee machine was out of order the whole time we were there, the ice machine was broke and we had to keep going to the front desk to get our own towels. I have been a choice privilege member for 10 years and have NEVER had such a terrible experience!!! I would NEVER stay here again and would never recommend anyone else stay here! Save your money! This was a horrible experience!!!

Awful, do not stay

Was given the wrong type of room and told it was the fault of hotels.com. Fitness equipment broken, pool out of service, and they ran out of sausages 20 minutes before the end of breakfast and refused to make more. Breakfast ended at 9am, way too early for vacationers.
