I stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed my stay. It was comfortable the people were very nice. It is on a quiet street next to 2 restaurants and close by many others. It was very quiet, yet close to a shopping mall. The breakfast was good.

Hotel Aranjuez is very well located, only a few minutes of walking to Palacio Portales, and some good restaurants around. It's also in a quiet and nice tree-lined street. A big avenue is a few minutes away by walking for shopping and more restaurants. The hotel is a grand house with beautiful gardens. We really enjoyed staying there for the calm and relaxed atmosphere.

The hotel is located in a great area, and has beautiful surroundings. The property itself is beautiful and has an antique design. Nevertheless, the room was very cool and even tough we had several blankets, it was a very cool staying. Also i would recommend to replace the whole tableware because it seems very old.

Wonderful boutique hotel with excellent staff. Everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. The front desk staff, Wilson did a great job with smooth check-in and Ricardo the waiter during breakfast was absolutely attentive to our needs in the morning - from setting up our breakfast table to giving us advice about where to find things in the city.

This is a unique property, being an old 'chacra' or 'country house'. Draped in vines and surrounded by trees and gardens, there is a tranquil ambience here. With it being an older property, it's somewhat dated and could do with some new furniture and beds but overall it has real character. The staff are extremely nice, helpful and knowledgable about the area

I always stay at the Hotel Aranjuez when I'm in Cochabamba. Although the hotel, like many in Bolivia, are still suffering from the effects of the pandemic, the hotel itself is a grand property, with beautiful furnishings, lovely gardens and patios, and with a staff that is super-helpful and willing to attend to your needs.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed staying in the hotel. The hotel is aging and is in need of updating carpeting and other installations. However, everything worked well. I did had a problem with the WiFi connecting to my laptop in the room, but the connection for my cellphone worked fine. Plenty of hot water! The tub did not drain properly the first two days, but worked fine later. We discovered long hairs on our pillows one day!

Well-located on a quiet street. A relaxing hotel with a number of small, leafy courtyards and gardens, a small swimming pool and pleasant areas for sitting out in the evening. Good as a refuge after a busy day. Very helpful staff. Reception very smooth and we were able to check in about noon. This was our second stay at Aranjuez and we will probably stay there again next time in Cochabamba..
Two small criticisms:
Getting into and out of the tub/shower could be tricky for someone with restricted agility, and the tub is slippery. Staff said that a non-slip mat was available if asked for, but it would be better if one was available in the bathroom.
The breakfast buffet is OK but a bit dull. Coffee ran out.
However the staff on hand were very helpful with scrambled eggs, omelettes, etc.
Overall very good.

Really lovely property in my case I thought the public areas was a bit nicer than my bedroom , the property oozes Spanish Colonial Mansion charm a couple of outdoor patio areas, some indoor sofa areas, small restaurant where quite a basic breakfast was served. I also had lunch in the same restaurant was the only one , staff was friendly. My room felt slightly out of keeping than with the rest of the hotel as slightly basic but certainly adequate for one night they even provide a little fridge thought I got the impression they had various types of rooms whilst walking to my room than might be nicer

It was amazing great service great location close to the mall ,shopping centers and many restaurants. Also very close to many places for a night out. Staff very friendly always looking to help ,very clean, beautiful interior decor and gardens. Rooms very comfortable and big , they have walk-in closets and big ,well equipped, bathroom. Overall very good place to stay in Bolivia for visiting the city would highly recommend to whoever is interested.

Colonial Setting Beautiful!

Visiting Cochabamba for a friends wedding and stayed at this colonial palace setting. My main guy Ricardo is a gem. He handled my luggage set up my fan and called taxis for me all with a radiant smile. Talk about customer service. Ricardo payed attention to class! I was very happy with my stay and friend even told me she felt she was in another country and not Cochabamba because of the ambiance this hotel radiates!

If you don't like to sleep in a hot room, don't go

For $110 per night, there was not even an air conditioner in the room. Hotel staff says it's not required as they have cold weather most of the year. But it was so hot in night that I had to ask for a fan. I asked for a mosquito repellent machine and house keeping sprayed the room with mosquito killer spray. Imagine to sleep in a hot room with smell of this spray.

The best hotel in Cochabamba

Been to Cochabamba Many times and I have to say that this hotel is the best In Cochabamba. The Service is A1, the decoration is a Colonial Mansion, classic style, the food variety is not big but the quality is good. I recommend this hotel more than the Gran Hotel Cochabamba because the location in the center of the city and the privacy it offers. President Chavez from Venezuela and Evo Morales from Bolivia had a meeting there once. Is a superb Hotel!

Hotel Aranguez is in a perfect central location in Cochabamba, but on a small side street. Very short walk to the restuarants, shops, The Pando, and a grocery store. Yet, on a small side street so quieter and calmer than hotels on the main streets. Beautiful with lots of places to sit and chat or to read a book, both inside and out on the patio or by the pool. Wonderful helpful and friendly staff!

Best place to stay in Cochabamba!

Friendly and helpful staff, most of whom speak excellent English. The hotel itself is in a beautiful old mansion which has been tastefully renovated. You really feel you are in South America yet there are all the comforts of home. The breakfast spread is very good and if you ask, they will make you eggs at no extra charge. WiFi is excellent through the hotel. Very nice gardens and a small but heated pool. Outstanding value! There are some things to see nearby including a nice park and some museums. A taxi ride to the center of town costs 10-12 Bolivianos (less than $2) and takes about 10 minutes.

Nice New Year's Eve

We have been mostly backpacking around South America and decided to splash out a little for a nice place to stay for New Year's Eve. At £60 a night this hotel was good value for money. We were also pleasantly surprised by the the value for money of the menu. The pool was warm and clean and the staff were incredibly kind, cheerful and helpful. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to others.

We stayed 3 nights at the Hotel Aranjuez in Cochabamba. We LOVED IT!!!!!!
It is a clean and quiet hotel on the NE side of town. The hotel is Beautiful!!!! The gardens are amazing!! The hotel staff is very friendly and helped us a lot. We wish we could go back and stay again.

This a classic older latin american hotel. Unfortunately they have some rather non client friendly policies. I asked for a taxi and them to charge it to the room. They charged double the price of the taxi. As the amount was not high I did not mind, but they also wanted to charge the same amount for my friend. So 4 times the normal value!

There was no warm water in the morning and they had great difficulties charging the credit card. It seems that only one person is allowed to use the printer, so if you are in a hurry and want to print out something it can end up in nobody being able to help you.

Hotel Aranjuez is Cochabamba's Treasure

We had an extended stay at the hotel. It is an old haciendaturned hotel and has beautiful gardens, spacious bathrooms, comfortable beds, exceptionally good wi-fi and an exceptional array of goods for breakfast. But the most remarkable is the warmth, professionalism and helpfulness of ALL the staff members.most speak remarkably good English. The manager/owner helped us to redo some of our travel plans. The location is quite good, with many good dining opportunities within walking distance.

No doubt I'll be back....

I recently stayed for the second time at Hotel Aranjuez. The hotel is superb, very comfortable and in a Spanish colonial style which really makes it feel classy. They have spent some money on new bathroom fittings since my last visit, and the hotel generally is very well kept. Service, though a little bit hesitant at times, is made up for with genuine warmth and friendliness.
The gardens are beautiful as well, with only the condition of the swimming pool being the slightly negative issue. My wife and I will almost certainly visit again, when we're next in Cochabamba.

Nice Hotel in a beautiful city.

Hotel Aranjuez is a neat hotel. A former \"Finca\" of a wealthy Bolivian, the hotel is well located, 15 minutes from the airport and in a tony part of Cochabamba. You can enjoy a complimentary hearty breakfast and dine at a restaurant that serves the typical Cochabamba food arguably the best in Bolivia, at accesible prices. The rooms are big, clean and welcoming. The staff is bilingual and very helpful. I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cochabamba for pleasure or business.

Expected excellence and they delivered!

After reading their reviews, I had high expectations of Hotel Aranjuez and they met every one of them. It's located in a very secure area of the city, walking distance to shops and restaurants, serene settings, clean, wonderful and attentive staff, very comfortable bed, beautiful gardens and terraces, delicious food (Mexican Rice, Pollo Aranjuez & Steak Aranjuez were amazing!!), very nicely priced for the quality amenities and food. Very highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Best Place to Stay in Cochabamba

What a great little hotel. Remarkably quiet neighborhood for such a bustling city. The hotel is decorated with old world charm. My room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The front desk staff were courteous and helpful, even though my Spanish is poor; they arranged my pick up and return to the airport. Delicious breakfast spread with the best coffee in South America! Dinner in their restaurant was way better than expected. Excellent value for the price. Happy to recommend this hotel to any family or business traveler.

VERY NICE PLACE TO STAY

This was my first trip to Bolivia and really had no idea what to expect. I was more then happy and surprised with what we found at this hotel. The old world charm, European décor and construction was priceless. We were there at the end of their winter so the weather was very nice. The construction of the building with very thick walls kept the inside tempts very nice. The hotel had numerous quiet courtyards. The restaurant was escellent. I can not say enough nice things about the staff. They were very nice, polite and very helpful. I would stay here every time I was in Bolivia.

Lovely weekend break

The hotel is not in the centre but there are restaurants and shops and a cinema close by. Good variety of fruit, juices and breads and eggs for breakfast. We had a very good dinner in the hotel restaurant too. The staff were extremely helpful, and polite, providing us with information and a map. Lovely bathroom and very good shower. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but maybe that's just me! A lovely old style ambience and quiet.

My daughter began her study abroad trip at this hotel. After an unpleasant experience on her flight over, she checked in and immediately was taken care of by Jose and his staff. Jose returned my email quickly and put my daughter's mind at ease. As a parent, I cannot express my deepest appreciation to this hotel. Their professionalism restored our trust in people. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone, but especially if you are traveling alone.

The Hotel Aranjuez was a perfect choice for our visit to Cochabamba. The neighborhood was safe, quiet and ideally suited for our needs. The public areas of the hotel are beautifully appointed and comfortable. The hotel is also in the process of renovating the guest rooms. Our suite had recently been redone and was very clean, comfortable and spacious. We were especially fortunate to have a room with a private terrace, which we highly recommend if you’re staying any length of time. The garden areas are open to all the guests and are well maintained. There’s even an outdoor pool.

As nice as the facility is, it’s the people who truly make the place special. From the manager, Jose, all the way down through his staff, we were made to feel like part of an extended family.

We highly recommend the Hotel Aranjuez for anyone visiting Cochabamba.

A Beautiful Hotel Experience!!

We had a very quiet room with a beautiful private patio surrounded by lush gardens and water element -- so relaxing and peaceful!! The only down side is that the bed was horribly squeaky and you could not move without waking yourself up. Front desk staff was not great, but one of the waiters made up for it by accompanying us on his day off to the local market to do all of our souvenir shopping. Restaurant is nice - breakfast buffet was ok but dinners were great! Delicious food. They would not accomodate a late checkout as we had a late flight. But they did hang on to our luggage and let us hang out in the garden so we were ok.

Stayed here for one night passing through. The hotel is in a nice quiet area, and is very very nice. Clean and tidy, and the staff are friendly and professional. Some speak fluent English, others a few words, but enough to get by. Lovely little garden courtyard for an al fresco breakfast. Recommended to anyone except maybe the backpackers looking for a party, you guys should go elsewhere.

Hotel Aranjuez-Lots of Charm/elegance

It's a lovely former hacienda so lots of elegance and charm. Private and secluded areas outside and inside where you feel like you're at an oasis. Highly recommend eating a meal in the lovely gardens near the pool - truly a tropical paradise.

Staff are great especially Jose the manager who obviously loves his hotel since he's put a lot of his own equity into it. He was very helpful, interesting and fun and on top of everything.

While I highly recommend this little jewel of a hotel, I would caution anyone who's a light sleeper to bring ear plugs. There's some noise from streets nearby and no white noise at all in the rooms to cover it, since there is no air conditioning or heating - it's just not needed!

Also, because it's an older hotel you tend to hear noises from within the hotel itself but again it's not an excessive amount.

Be sure to ask for extra towels and facecloths. There were no facecloths (a western must) and a single room only provides one bath towel and hand towel but they were nice quality.

The Hotel Aranjuez

This hotel was amazing! When you walk in, you feel that you are in a beautiful hacienda with tropical flowers and beautiful scenery. The service was wonderful and the staff always very helpful. The food was delicious and the breakfast is included in the price. We ate dinner several nights at the hotel and they had a nice mix of Bolivian meals as well as Western meals. The heated pool was great and the upstairs terrace was a peacful escape from the city. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here!
