The air conditioning didn’t work. I called the reception at 2 am. They said it will not be necessary to send a technician because they do it over the network. Well nothing happened. Couldn’t sleep well. Asked for rebate or a free day. They denied any wrong doing. Have been at the hotel several times before. Never again!

After that, the 2nd night the bathroom flooded again at 4am because the bathroom handle was broken because the hotel too old. The manager asked to share the cost to repair the damaged, they try to put the problems to the customers. It wasn't professional management. They should say sorry to the customer because they didn't check the hotel before give the room to us. The hotel too old every shaking waiting for broken. Basically, NEVER STAY THERE. IF THERE HAVE ANY PROBLEMS THE CUSTOMERS HAVE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE REPAIR COST. BE CARE TO RENT THERE.

Super near to market, lots of eateries and walking distance to Saigon Center. Hotel staff wasn’t as friendly thou. Do take note that there’s 26steps of stairs to be climb as there is no lift fm lobby to road (hotel is located above L1 shophouse). Would recommend Avanti Boutique Hotel (just 3mins walk down) as it has lesser stairs to climb and the restaurant- Pho2000 serves great food.

If we had known that there were 20 stairs to climb up & down to get in we would never have booked this hotel. I could not tell you the name of any staff member as they didn't talk to you. One staff member didn't even look up to say hello as you walked in, just kept watching something on their ph. Only 1 young man opened doors for us coming & going & was polite. Rooms clean but door & walls thin. Opposite Banh Thai markets but noise didn't worry us. Little coffee shop at front of hotel (up stairs) made great coffee & staff polite. Would not stay here again because of stairs. Katinat coffee shop down rd made fabulous coffee.

To summarize, the lady receptionist (the only female) was rude, unprofessional and at one point dared one of my guests to report her to her management. I’ve been there for 21 days and the only timer he female receptionist smile was when her boss stopped by.
There are millions of qualified receptionist but this hotel retained such unprofessional staff. All then other staff members are cordial and she’s the only nighymare. I wonder if she’s relating to the mgmt. why else would you retain such staff to the ambassador to first impression????
I’m sure I’ll get an email from someone in mgmt replying with apologies and promise to change. there are things that can be changed but in this case, a worm has just ruined the entire pot.
I guess your lousy lady receptionist is worth more than your customers who travelled the world to be in your hotel.

This is a good basic hotel in a prime location just outside the market. Easy to walk to tourist attractions. Restaurants, bars and shopping on your doorstep. Noisy and busy area but rooms are peaceful. Hotel is clean. Wifi not great. Hot water, fridge, air conditioning, plus complimentary tea, coffee and bottled water. Did not include breakfast. Main issue for me was staff. Awful and rude. Never greeted anyone nor smiled.

Our worst experience is that when we reached the hotel room, we saw our room door left it open!!! Immediately we reported to the reception. She told us that they will check cctv and inform their manager. However no follow up nor any apologies was done from the hotel. We need to check and follow up with them almost everyday to seek for the explanation. Reason given from the reception is room door left open by the housekeeping.

We found the cleanliness to be terrible. Room 312 had multiple long female hairs on the floor and obviously hadn’t been vacuumed recently. The shower area was filthy having not been cleaned in a while. Soap scum was all over the glass shower walls. The bed was reasonably comfortable and the buffet breakfast was decent. Additionally, for a hotel that has a large sign at reception advising that Vietnamese women are not to be in hotel rooms with foreign men unless married - they’re not following their own rules. There was a Japanese golfing group and one evening a van full of local women arrived and entered the lobby while they all paired off with the waiting Japanese men.

Hidden extra luxury in most or all hotels in HCM
Hotel.com should inform us about a hidden situation, usually it happen in HCM. most hotels are constructed in a rectangle shape, thus a few rooms in the narrow front of the hotel has windows, while the rest don't. If you want to get a window room, you need to pay US 10 per night for it. I am not bitter over it, but at least Hotel.com should inform us when we book the room/s etc.. that this hidden extra luxury is not included in the room prices.

The hotel was ok the the price we paid, the location is excellent.
The hot water was off and on .The service is not great though.
We were stranded as HCM city had the biggest storm we could not get a taxi or uber to transfer our bags to ths new hotel we asked if we could store the 2 bags for 2 days until we came mabe from our trip we were refused by the hotel staff.
Given the situation there was no empathy from the hotel staff very dissapointing.

Second time staying at this hotel. The condition of the hotel has degraded quite a lot as compared to my first stay in 2016. There are lots of molds in the shower.

Everything was great which made for a great vacation. Booked another room for two nights because it was closer to the airport and immediately went back here after seeing the condition of the rooms, dirty sheets and bed bugs.

Bad Hotel Staff Service
Due to the room is not ready, the hotel operator informed us to collect the key after 2pm, and we follow ours plan to go out. When we come back hotel and collect the room key at evening, the hotel operator informed us they have gave us the key during 4pm before we went out the hotel and the way their talked to us was very rude and impolite..and keep on complaining we had collected key before..

Located right at Central markets. Got upgraded to room with view towards markets. Room modem Devore, spacious and have all the comforts you need. Staff friendly although like anywhere some friendlier and more helpful than others but overall nothing to complain about. Breakfast has good selection and offers both hot and cold. I recommend this hotel and would definitely return to stay if I was visiting again. Definitely value for money.

Stayed only one night on a business trip. Always stayed in hotels in the Ben Thanh market area. This is by far the best hotel for the money I paid. Everything is good and the breakfast is a pretty good spread. Will definitely stay there next time.
