Sadly we had a very poor experience. We booked this hotel for our last night in Sicily, hoping for a high quality experience and amazing service.
We were disappointed.
It all started in the first 5 minutes. When have you ever checked in and gone to your room to find that there are no toilet rolls? We were given some very quickly but we should have realised that there was something amiss...
When we went to use the shower, this morning, we discovered that it was broken (and had obviously been broken for some time)... so the room should never have been sold. When i pointed this out to the reception manager, his view was that I should have called the emergency number to get the shower fixed. (Can you imagine, naked in the bathroom at 7am, needing to get out to catch a flight... calling an engineer???) NO...
The bottom line is that they should not have rented the room.
I'm requesting a refund. Let's see how reasonable they are!

Nice little Gem!

Amazing hotel. Lives up to the reviews we researched before our stay. The staff are very helpful and the food is very tasty if you choose to eat at the hotel in the evening. A few things to be aware of: 1) it’s not close to lots of other bars and restaurants so expect to drive or take taxis to get about to the main towns 2) the two restaurants near the hotel were both enjoyable food but I would be careful of the bill - we were overcharged both times. 3) make sure you ask the cost of the taxi from the airport before you get in the taxi, we were overcharged by 40 euros as were other guests. It should be around 60 euros by taxi. However, an Uber is between 40-50 euros. 4) it’s very quiet and tranquil, be prepared to totally relax - some might find it a little too quiet. It’s a small hotel and very civilised which we really liked.

NOTHING like the pictures

Looks NOTHING like the pictures on the Hotels.com page. What looks like a beachfront swimming area is in fact a disappointing bar/ restaurant type of thing (with grubby bathrooms!). Breakfast included was totally uninspired, and room dominated by bad 1980s glass, chrome & leather. Don’t understand the high overall guest reviews at all. Would avoid.

Well maintained hotel with very nice views! Reception staff were not very accommodating and give the impression that it was a chore to help or advise! The hotel was exceptionally clean, the food was very good with a wide selection!
The location isn’t ideal for walking to the main centre and you will likely need taxis there and back.

The property was in a quiet location, the rooms were spacious, well maintained and well equipped.

It was a little unfortunate that there were building works in progress to update rooms, but the disruption and noise were kept to a minimum.

Pool was lovely - though cold (water great once you were in!) Beautiful terrace, plenty of sunbeds and deckchairs.

The staff were amazing - everyone helpful, friendly and pleasant.

We travelled as a family of 4 with two young children. The hotels offers anything that is needed to make you feel relaxed and at home whilst being away.
The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, kitchen is basic but with everything needed plus there is a supermarket a few minutes away to stock up on food and drink.

The staff (Catia and Raffaelle) are very nice and helpful and very easy to get hold of if needed.

We had a great stay and would definitively recommend staying in this hotel.

We give this property 3 stars out of 5. It was clean, the welcome very good, plenty of car parking. But the apartment was, in reality, a medium sized room. The air conditioning failed (we now know why in 30+ degrees the central heating was on full when we arrived) when it made a loud whirring noise and so much water came splashing out we had to cover the floor with towels. Would suggest this type of accommodation, and all that goes with it, is aimed principally at the Italian domestic market.

Slight hiccup with late night check in did not spoil our stay and the staff went out of their way to make sure the rest of the holiday was enjoyable.
Note if you fly in to Comiso be prepared for a long car journey and Scilian driving. We were quoted €75 per person for a taxi to do this trip. The hotel is up a hill so beach is not really something you want to walk to. The hotel itself was tranquil and the pool area never crowded.
Local shops are further up the hill a short distance away. Here you will find a supermarket, chemist, fruit shop and cafe/bakery.
If you get a chance do take some guided tours of the area.

What a Wonderful Hotel

The hotel was excellent. Our thanks to all the staff who were so friendly and helpful. Their advice on places to visit and restaurants was greatly appreciated as we really found the real Sicily. They arranged for a private guided tour of Mount Etna with an experienced geologist and vulcanologist. The information and undwrstanding of the volcano that we took away was wonderfully illuminating.

The hotel had a special Sicilian dinner at their restaurant on the seafront and many thanks to Rafael for driving us into town and to the kind restaurant staff who drove us back to the hotel.

If you are staying at the hotel the Spa/Relax zone is a must. The hot tub has a great view of the bay and also of Mount Etna. Wait till later in the evening if possible as we saw the lava glowing red moving down the mountain.

We really would recommend this hotel but a car is essential. The hotel is gated so no problems with secure parking.

I booked a studio room with a double bed for one week.
We were allocated a second floor studio apartment, with a good size balcony (with table and 4 chairs) which had views over the pool.
The room was very clean and nicely decorated. All in the same room was a double bed, small kitchen area, and a sitting area with a couch, single chair, coffee table and TV. Large patio doors opened onto balcony.
Good size bathroom with shower.

The kitchen area had a fridge freezer, two ring electric hob, microwave oven and washing machine, plus a few kitchen cupboards with crockery, cutlery and a small range of cooking utensils. Everything clean. I cooked a few simple meals (e.g. pasta dishes and omelettes). There is a supermarket 5 minute walk away.

Lovely outdoor pool, with lawn area and shrubs. It was quiet when we stayed and we practically had a private pool most of the time !

There are excellent parking facilities with security gate.
I would suggest that you would definitely need a car. We did walk down to the town, but no pavements much of the way. It took approx. 30 minutes to walk down to the town, but coming back took longer as all up hill !

Great staff - friendly and helpful.

Overall, the hotel was an oasis of tranquillity.

Sicily was disappointing except for our great accommodation. No available parking in nearby towns limited our visit and stopped us being able to eat out which in turn is not good for local economy. We could have spent more! Lovely weather.

The co-owner of these immaculate apartments above a fishing village near Catania provided remarkably conscientious and comprehensive service. He helped me plan tours of nearby tourist sites, pointed out the cheapest transport, and provided early morning transfers to the bus station, for example. Always ready with a free cup of espresso, he treated me more like a respected family member than a tourist on holiday.

The spacious studio apartment with a deck overlooking town and sea provided plenty of room to kick back after a long day of travel. Its location, just 30 minutes by car from the Catania Fontanarossa airport, is perfect for visiting the region's major tourist attractions-- Taormina, Syracusa, Catania and Mt. Etna. It's also far enough from the main tourist centres to offer a view of suburban Scilian living..Clementines fresh off the trees, artichokes recently harvested, coffee bars with the friendliest service...While the Residence is probably best for people who rent cars for their holiday travel, Rafaele, the co-owner will help you enjoy the same wide-ranging visit by 0ublic transport. And I highly recommend the starlit walk up the hill from the nearby Aci Trezza bus stop.

The Residence's top-floor spa offers a view of the coastline from a hot tub built into an immaculate deck. The lowvprice for precious private hours in sauna and jacuzzi made the spa an affordable luxury. All and all, it's the kind of hotel one dreams of at a surprisingly low cost.

Super Sicilia's

Sicilia's Residence is a delightful place to stay with exceptional staff and is a great value for money. We arrived a little before check in and were greeted by Raffaele, who made us feel very welcome. He made us coffee, and provided great information about the area and the local wines. The studio was exactly as pictured, extremely clean, and with all amenities for a relaxing stay. There was a great grocery store 5 min walk and a super little veg/ fruit market. We were very pleased with the secure parking provided. A car is necessary to enjoy the waterfront area and all the great restaurants and cafés. We look forward to returning to Sicily and will most definitely stay at Sicilia's Residence.

Place easy to find by gps. In close proximity, 3 minutes by car, to the Aci Castello lungomare with various restaurants and also places where to swim in Summer. Area quiet by night, parking more than adequate and very accommodating staff.

Fantastic hotel

Stayed for 3 nights over the weekend and it was perfect from start to finish. We arrived late Friday night to be greeted by the manager as soon as we pulled up. The room was done to a really good standard and was spotlessly clean. Throughout the stay we had no issues at all and it was lovely and peaceful for us. The only thing I would point out is that you will need a car to get around as the buses only go from Aci Trezza which is about 1km down the road. Will definitely stay there again if we ever return.

Wir waren Ende November in Sicilia‘s Residence. Das Kilma war um diese Zeit sehr angenehm. Die Insel nicht so überlaufen und im Hotel fühlten wir uns sehr wohl! Tolles Frühstück, wir wurden sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend behandelt. Wir hatten jeden Morgen den Hotelpool ganz für uns allein! Unser Zimmer war sehr großzügig aufgeteilt, dazu ein schönes großes Badezimmer und ein toller Meer-Blick von unserem Balkon! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Dankeschön für eine sehr schöne entspannende Woche!

Vi var der uden for højsæson. Meget nydelige lejligheder. Fin rengøring. Flotte pools. Der er ingen restauranter inden for gåafstand. Hotellet har en restaurant på stedet. Deres menu kunne vi få bragt til vores lejlighed. Hotellets anden restaurant nede ved kysten var lukket. Kun få spisesteder nede i byen-måske grundet at det var udenfor sæsonen. Man kan gå ned i den mindre by, men der er langt og meget trafikeret. Ingen fortov.Kort afstand til dagligvareindkøb. Flink personale. Der var ikke megen hjælp i receptionen. Dog sørgede de for taxi.

One night in the suite

We had booked this hotel for the last night of our 11 day Sicily tour, and I'm so glad we chose this hotel. On arrival, we were upgraded to the suite, as the hotel was full. The suite was beautiful and spacious, located on the top floor of the main building, and it had a big balcony with sunloungers, shower and table overlooking the pool area.
Each member of the staff we encoutered was amazingly corteous, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
All in all, we had wonderful last day in Sicily in this hotel, and felt so relaxed on our way home. We will return!

Nous avons fait étape à cet hotel car nous souhaitions voir l'Etna, donc c'est une bonne base de départ.
Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans cet hotel, même si nous avons dû subir les nuisances sonores le premier jour en raison de travaux dans l'hotel.
L'hotel est proche d'une petit port, où est d'ailleurs situé leur restaurant. Par contre, il faut une voiture car il n'y a rien dans les environs directs de l'hotel.
Le personnel est adorable. Mais ne vous attendez pas à un spa quand vous allez dans cet hotel!

Infelizmente me decepcionei com o que é apresentado no site e o que é de verdade.
1. Esse local só faz sentido se você estiver de carro, caso contrário você ou não se locomove ou deixa todo seu dinheiro em transfer;
2. O restaurante que aparece no site não fica no hotel. Se você quer ir ao restaurante tem que pagar transfer, pois ele só é gratuito se você fecha o menu com eles, menu este que não tem todos os itens do cardápio do restaurante, apenas alguns mais simples;
3. O restaurante não atende bem quem é hóspede do hotel, agem como se você estivesse ocupando o lugar de alguém que não seria hóspede e que pagaria mais para comer no local (quem é do hotel tem 10% de desconto);
4. O Wi-Fi é no método faça o login o tempo todo e ele só funciona, quando funciona, em poucos lugares do seu quarto, com isso você tem que ir para áreas públicas do hotel para usar melhor a internet;
5. Os canais da TV a partir das 19h param de funcionar, o sinal não chega. Me disseram que isso é problema de Sicília e não do hotel;
6. Tem limite de horário de uso da piscina (18:30 - detalhe que estava no verão, com dias mais longos), proibição de pular e etc;
7. O bar, único local que você pode contar no local, fecha as 19:30;
8. O meu quarto tinha cozinha, porém se você quiser usar, há pagamento por isso - detalhe, a cozinha está no quarto que você já pagou!;
Enfim, há pessoas atendendo muito atenciosas, mas infelizmente todo o resto deixou muito a desejar...

Accueil impeccable, gérant parfaitement francophone, le reste du personnel parle anglais en plus de l'italien. Le restaurant qui est au centre de Aci Trezza, en bord de ler, sert toute la journée (pizzasvà partir de 19h). Large choix et bon rapport qualité prix. Attention cependant à la plage privée de l'établissement, elle n'offre aucun service. Allés retours au restaurant nécessaire pour avoir des consommations.

It's a nice place to stay and relax at, I recommend you to book the spa facilities. We used it in the evening and it was very nice to watch the sunset over Etna from the pool. Breakfast was okay, and the staff very helpful but a bit too pushy to sell you more services or products. I'm guessing they where asked to do so by there manager.

gepflegte Residence (ohne Hotel-Service). Recht neue Räumlichkeiten, schöner Pool. Raffaele war sehr zuvorkommender Concierge, der uns beratend zur Seite stand und täglich Kaffe nacha unseren Wünschen machte, mit frischen Cornetti. Von der lounge area auf dem Dach eine schöne Aussicht nach Aci Treza und das Meer.

Établissement magnifique mais loin de tout

L’établissement est très sympathique et très agréable. En revanche sa localisation laisse à désirer. En effet il est fortement conseillé de louer une voiture pour pouvoir se déplacer en toute liberté. La plage n’est pas tout proche est pratiquement inaccessible à pied. Il en est de même pour tous les autres commerces ( restaurant,bar etc. )

Top accomodatie, op een goede locatie. Kamer was wel wat aan de kleine kant, maar alles was erg schoon. Vooral de communicatie met de receptie was uitzonderlijk goed!

Everything was nice, room, stuff,hotel cat:-) Pool is amazing
studio with kitchen and wonderfull garden
Grocery is near
If u wanna go to beach or to city is better to take a car

Avec ou sans enfants, cet établissement propre et très bien équipé nous a permis un séjour en Sicile très agréable !

Ottimo residence, appartamento moderno, accessoriato e pulito, con bel terrazzo esterno, cucina funzionale e attrezzata.
Posizione fantastica, vicino al mare e a pochi minuti da Catania.
Parcheggio interno gratuito, piscina interna alla struttura.
Supermercato a 200 metri.
Consigliatissimo!!

Tutto perfetto.

Abbiamo trascorso un fine settimana presso questa bellissima struttura. Da subito siamo stati accolti dal personale presente con molta cortesia e simpatia. Il monolocale assegnatoci, era super attrezzato e molto pulito, con una veranda che dava sulla piscina. Non abbiamo solo potuto provare il centro benessere a causa del meteo, che sicuramente meritava. Ritorneremo con piacere.
