The historical place is in good condition and very centrally located, so that you can walk to the pedestrian precinct in less than a minute and you have coffee places, bakeries, restaurants nearby or even \"in-house\".
Cleaning service was good and exchanged all used towels in the bath room which is equipped with shampoo/shower gel, a hairdryer, and a heating. The room has a table, lamps in the bed, which is very convenient, a safe (big enough for a 17\" laptop), a huge flat TV-screen (slow but fully operational), a fridge and a Nespresso machine (with 4 caps which are, however, not refilled on a daily basis). No water boiler or tea available.
Thumbs down for the occasionally but regularly interrupted internet connectivity in the room, which hinders work, streaming and texting/social media.
The bed was comfortable, and the curtains darken the room sufficiently.
Unfortunately, the noise level is quite high when other guests pass by in front of the door, but this did not impact my sleep too much.
Overall, definitely a place to stay!

The service we received at this hotel was diabolical. We arrived late en route from Greece to the UK for an overnight rest. When I went in to ask where the parking was, there was no welcome or smile. In fact every time I went to reception they were unsmiling and almost looked confused as to why I might be approaching them. I booked a triple and realised in the morning that we only had 2 of everything. When I went to reception I was told to GO AND FIND HOUSEKEEPING MYSELF. When I incredulously asked where they would be the receptionist replied ‘On the first floor’ I was expected to go and sort out the issue myself. I eventually found 2 ladies and managed by hand gestures to ask for what was needed. I have never stayed in a hotel where I am expected to do their job for them. I would not recommend and I certainly would stay again. I was going to have breakfast with my family but decided against this after having been sent to look for towels and coffee cups. Could also do with maintenance. See below

An und für sich, ein nettes Hotel aber die Fenster sind alt (schließen nicht gut, strahlen kälte ins Zimmer) keine Isolierten Fenster im Zimmer 201. Die Heizkörper waren bei Bezug auf Minimum gestellt und es hat dann ewig gedauert bis es im Zimmer angenehm warm war. Des weiteren wird in der Nacht die Heizung abgedreht?? Warm wurde sie erst wieder um 5 oder 6 Uhr. Am Sonntag war das Gebäck hart, Eierspeise war kalt, keine Harten/Weiche Eier im Angebot.

We had a wonderful stay at this very clean hotel in a perfect location, with friendly, welcoming staff. The breakfast was excellent, there’s on-site parking, and it’s dog-friendly, with lovely parks nearby for walks.
Inside, the décor is striking and eclectic — vivid textured portraits, playful bathroom murals — giving the place a gallery-like feel. Just outside, the park features illuminated glass sculptures and even a Roman boundary stone, making for a delightful cultural surprise. The town itself felt calm and safe, perfect for a relaxing break.
The only challenge was the sofa bed for my children, which was too small for a teenager and hadn’t been prepared. Despite our late-night arrival, the receptionist kindly brought extra bedding, but I still ended up sharing a bed with two teenagers — not the most restful night 😉
Still, I’ll happily return… next time without the teenagers 😉

The room was clean and the breakfast was okay. The room service was only until 18 o'clock and they spent good part of their time talking in the corridor. The staff was very nice and friendly. However, I was charged 74 € over the original price. I slept well 😊😊

Er hat uns nicht gefragt ob wir etwas trinken möchten. Wir fragten um 21.15 ob wir etwas bestellen dürfen. Ja mit der Auskunft bis 21.30 er habe sooooo viel zu tun. Die Bar ist lt Info bis 22.30 geöffnet.

Lautstärke ist ein Problem, strassenseitig ist das zu verkraften, da das Hotel hierfür nichts kann. Jedoch waren alle Schritte des Zimmers über uns zu hören und aufgrund der Vibrationen übertrugen sich diese auf den imposanten aber dann klirrenden Kronleuchter. Unpraktisch, wenn über einem ein Kleinkind zu Gast ist.

In der Dusche gab es Handseife, statt Shampoo oder/und Duschgel. Der Schlauch der Dusche war lose und das Wasser spritzte in alle Richtungen und wenig durch den Duschkopf. Es war sehr sauber. Die Keycard zum Zimmer funktionierte nicht, jedoch beim Zimmer nebenan. Wir haben dann an der Rezeption bescheid gesagt. Dass der Parkplatz extra Gebühren kostet, wurde nicht direkt gesagt, nur auf meine Nachfrage. Hier wünsche ich mir mehr Transparenz. Für eine Nacht zur Durchreise war das Hotel ok.

Kl. 6.12 kom der 2 store kraner som skulle arbejde udenfor hotellet. Det gav en del støj hele morgenen indtil jeg forlod hotellet.

The blanket had moldy black spots. The WiFi is not 5G nor 4G or even 3G. In the back of the breakfast area there is no WiFi connection at all.
There are no security measures if you want to leave your belongings at the desk. They just tell you to leave the things behind a glass door where everyone just could go there.

The blanket had moldy black spots. The WiFi is not 5G nor 4G or even 3G. In the back of the breakfast area there is no WiFi connection at all.
There are no security measures if you want to leave your belongings at the desk. They just tell you to leave the things behind a glass door where everyone just could go there.
