The hotel was located in the heart of the city. Accessing all of the tourist locations as well as prime restaurants was easy as could be. The only thing that could be improved would be adding air conditioning to the rooms. The staff was very pleasant and eager to help us during our stay. We would definitely come back.

Die Lage des Hotels ist super. Das Frühstück ist ausreichend. Das Fehlen von Hausschuhen und Wasserkochern auf den Zimmern ist ein Manko. Ansonsten ist es sehr schön und empfehlenswert. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sind verständnisvoll und sehr hilfsbereit.

The first room was not that clean, so we asked for room change. The reception was kind enough to immediately change the room, and probably upgraded us but this one was stinking cigarettes and I was so tired to change again. On the staff side, the receptionist did what he could do, but the cleaning should be better. Actually that’s the first thing I expect. The location was good. We saw that there were coffee setup in other rooms, we didnt have that.

We booked through Expedia and the staff could not locate my reservation even though I had a booking number and showed them (my other friend booked through Expedia also, but hers was able to be found). The nice young lady at reception gave us a wonderful room and was very helpful. I wish we stayed more than one night, the room was beautiful and comfortable. The bus/tram station was a 2 minute walk across the street. We utilized their luggage space, which was convenient but I did not like that they just allowed us to put our own luggage in there and it wasn't locked, so anyone could go in an claim someone else's luggage.

We made a booking for two people but the room was made up for only one person, with only a single pillow and a single towel. The staff at the front desk were either unavailable, or when they were available, unable to assist with the request to provide the extra linen. We also used the telephone in the room to call reception but it was not answered. The room itself was spacious and clean though, and the central location of the hotel is good for visiting the town on foot.

Nice and clean. Helpful staff. Quiet atmosphere. Fine room. Close to everything. We enjoyed our stay. Terrible fire escape options on the 5th floor: you need to climb through a window one meter above the floor, take two steps on the roof to find an iron ladder with very narrow steps. Am not sure this meets the regulations from the fire department. Ask for a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor.

The hotel itself I can’t fault the rooms are very spacious the staff are very sweet and helpful. However the hotel is just outside the tram station which is extremely convenient but means it’s very loud and as the hotel has no air con it’s lots a bit of a problem. The area again so very easy to get to places as it’s so central but be wary of some of the people as I was followed in town to the hotel.

Weil es keine Klimaanlage gibt, wäre es gut einen Ventilator im Zimmer zu haben. Jener der im Zimmer war, war zwar gross, aber viel zu Laut um diesen in der Nacht laufen zu lassen. Daher war das Zimmer ungemütlich warm, was den Schlaf beeinträchtigte.

Great hotel to stay as it is walking distance to the sights, shopping, and has lots of restaurants to choose from around the immediate area. The city train is literally in front of the hotel. The only thing is at night during the summer season it gets warm, the hotel has no A/C or it doesn’t get cold, and opening the window will get you relief from the cool night air… but it comes with the noise from the train or people around the area. But overall, it is a great hotel when visiting Heidelberg, Germany as it is in the middle of everything.

Exceeded expectations by a lot. Clean, comfortable, large bathroom. Easy check in even when the reception is not manned. A bit of a hassle with parking, but worth it. Ask the hotel in advance for the parking instructions and any extras. They are very helpful. The city parking machine was only taking cash.

Loved the location of this hotel, and for the price, it is hard to beat. The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff was friendly enough. The beds, however, were less than comfortable, the pillows felt like blocks of concrete and the blankets were much too small.

Das Personal war exzellent, freundlich und stets hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer selbst würde ich ein wenig kritisieren. Der Fernseher hat ein blaues Licht, das den ganzen Raum erhellt, wenn es dunkel ist. Als ich den Fernseher eingeschaltet habe, hat zunächst kein Sender funktioniert und lediglich durch das Bewegen des Bildschirms hat es funktioniert. Die Lüftung im Bad ist sehr laut, glücklicherweise läuft sie nicht so lange nach dem Ausschalten des Badlichtes, sodass es nicht so dramatisch war. Kleines persönliches Minus ist, dass es keine Rolläden gibt, sondern nur Vorhänge, das ist einfach nicht so dunkel, wie ich es gewohnt bin.

ホテルに車で行く際は場所がわかりにくいので事前調査を推奨。また車より荷物を降ろす際、ホテル前の自転車道に止め無ければならない、またホテルには駐車場が無いのでホテル推奨の近くの公共施設を利用。翌朝(日曜日)車を出庫する際に駐車券を車中に入れっぱなしにしたので、地下駐車場に入れず困り果てホテルのフロントに助けを求めたところ駐車場施設に連絡をしてくれて入れる入り口を調べてくれ無事車をピックアップできました。ホテルレセプションのトラブル時の親切な対応に感謝、フロントの対応最高でした。

Das Hotel ist am Bismarckplatz gut gelegen um gemütlich auf der Haupstrasse zu flanieren. Wenn auch gut unterhalten, ist das Hotel in die Jahre gekommen. In unserem Zimmer hatte eines der Fenster gewisse phonische Probleme was dazu führte dass jedesmal wenn ein Tram vorbeifuhr, man das Gefühl hatte das Fenster sei offen.
Alles in allem ein guter Tip wenn man ein günstiges, zentral gelegenes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal sucht.

Disappointing Experience - Poor Service and Unresp

I recently stayed at this hotel in Heidelberg, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. When I returned to my room after a day out, I found it clean, but there were no towels or shampoo provided. I tried contacting the reception for assistance, but no one answered. I even went to the reception desk in person, only to find it unattended, with just a phone number to call.
When I called the number, the person I spoke to assured me that someone would bring the towels and other essentials. After waiting for more than half an hour, no one arrived. I tried calling again, but this time, there was no response at all.
This level of service is unacceptable for any hotel. It’s frustrating to not have basic amenities like towels and shampoo, and even more so to be ignored when trying to resolve the issue. I expected much better, especially considering the cost of the stay. I won’t be returning and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and responsive service.

You actually do check in at a front desk. The afternoon staff was a bit rude and hard to understand. My friend asked for an extra pillow and he replied, \"Is this your first time in Germany?\" My friend said \"No, i just want a second pillow.\" She never got it. The rooms are teeny tiny. My room smelled muaty and the window did not seal shut, so the outside noise came right in. I think it could be an okay hotel, if the front desk would have been more courteous.

Stayed one night in junior suite. Issue we had was advertised to have air conditioning and it had a fan only. Luckily all of our windows opened so it cooled down a bit at night but unfortunately for us we arrived during the time fireworks were set off over the river and castle which meat huge crowds downtown and the noise lasted until 4 in the morning from partying. Not the staffs fault as it only happens twice a year and we hit one of the two lucky nights

Upon arrival the lift was occupied by staff so we walked up.
Returning from dinner at 9 p.m. the front door was unlocked and reception desk unmanned. When departing this morning 7 a.m. the reception desk was unmanned again.
Room was stuffy and overheated (no AC), pillows were terrible.
We are not coming back.

The stay was pleasant. We had some issues finding parking, and after a little back and forth found out, we could park on a hotel private parking area. Figuring this out was the only down side to an otherwise pleasant visit and a really nice room. So, overall, Bayrischer Hof left a really good impression.

Though we only stayed one night at Hotel Bayrischer Hof, we found our experience at the hotel to be a pleasant one. The hotel is centrally located, easily connecting you to the city center of Heidelberg, whether traveling by foot, or by public transit.

The hotel itself was tastefully modernized to fit the beautiful old building it is housed in, allowing for a comfortable stay in an historic building. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We would absolutely visit the hotel again!
