Located metres from the Airport terminal, approach our 24hr reception desk after taking an incredibly convenient 56 paces only from the domestic terminal, or a 3 minute walk from the international terminal. Stroll to the beachfront that is only a 5 minute walk away, or drive down to Coolangatta in an easy 5 minutes.

Everything was immaculate! From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave and everything in between was just incredibly five star and so close to the terminal. Fantastic for flights and a very quiet rooms for a peaceful nights sleep. I was so happy I wanted to stay in bed all day! The dining area next to the pool is just a spot on and the pool itself is gorgeous!! Staff are impeccable!!

She was welcoming, friendly, and incredibly helpful from the moment we arrived, which made our stay start off on such a positive note. The room was lovely and clean when we checked in..we stayed for 7 nights our bedding wasn't changed which would have been nice at least once..We only got complementary water refreshed once..An empty box of tissues in the bathroom was left beside our fresh towels not sure why we didn't get a new box and I had to wipe the surfaces of our bedsides and coffee area myself..the house keeping staff were friendly though..The room phone didn't work and ordering room service was a mission as they don't answer the phone.

Sheets came with blood stains 3 days in a row

Smoking area disgusting had go smoke at the airport smoking area as it didn’t get cleaned at all in the 6 days I was there

Pool area full of ants cups cutlery everything just stays nothing gets taken away

Rooftop bar advertised was closed the whole 6 days
Buffet breakfast eggs was cold roasted veges were all cold

Complained to management they gave me a complimentary breakfast thankfully I hadn’t paid for full breakfast for the 6 days

The only good thing was the dinner menu

The reception staff were very pleasant and let us checkin to the room early. While this was appreciated it was not necessary as we really just wanted to leave our car there so we could go to lunch.
When we checked back into our room about 6.30 pm the room was freezing and we could not get the a/c thermostat to register the increased temperature we wished .A maintanence man was finally able to regulate the temperature for us. A minor problem. As to the room itself, it presented as very austere, lacking decoration and very bland colours. The usual tea and coffee making facilities but no biscuit.! at the time I compared other sides and found that the rate being offered for our room was $220 including car parking ! As you may imagine that is very disturbing.

The shower was challenging and impossible to use without getting a face full of spray and wet hair (and shower caps were only available on request), and no possibility to adjust it. But being at the airport you have a captive market so I guess little motivation to improve

I came back from overseas around dinner, so my husband and I decided to have a meal at the hote. What we ordered around 6 pm was not what came out. After 15 mins the kitchen staff came to us telling us what they didnt have. Mashed potato and some other sides had run out. Also the chicken dish i ordered was out. So had to quickly think of something else to eat. The food was way overcooked, the peas were rock hard bullets in a horrible gravy. My husbands veges were basic like mine, just peas and carrots!! At around $32 each, the veges should be better than RSL quality , and certainly not premium. Shocking meal and certainly wont spend money there again. Its like someone forgot to buy FRESH veges..

Just an overnight transit stay, so did not experience any of the food, although being vegan there were very few options. I love the beds at Rydges. I prefer a softer bed and these are always very comfortable. Too many places i go these days have very firm beds, so i rarely sleep well. These beds are awesome! Lovely service as well, very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

The room was very nice - spacious, spotless, a huge bed, great bathroom, and a nice outlook to the sea. It's convenient for visiting the beach (only a 10 minute walk) and shops etc. Being next to the airport wasn't a problem in relation to noise - I couldn't hear a thing!
