Over the top expensive for a very small room. Felt unsafe with being on the ground floor, not being able to open the window as no screens (anybody could easily get in).
Bed was hard. Spa not working in the pool area. Breakfast only open til 9am.

Paid nearly £200 for one night in a small basic room. I understand that we booked late and the town was busy. However, we were only staying for one night and the only facility we were really interested in was the restaurant.
On arrival at around 4pm we were informed that the restaurant was fully booked and if we wanted to eat we would need to go into town.
When we visited the bar at around 7pm we noticed that the restaurant was relatively empty.
On enquiry we were informed that the hotel only had one chef and they were busy because two coach trips were staying at the hotel and therefore could not accommodate other guests.
In my opinion important decision making facilities such as restaurants should if advertised always be available.
When I complained the following morning the staff were clearly uninterested.

Great value, excellent accommodation, nice to have 1BR apartment to spread around in. 3 km from town, only annoyance is wifi was incredibly bad and the property is in something of a cellular “hole” so neither data connection worked very well. May be unique to our unit (103h but would be a problem if we were staying for more than a few nights or needed to work.

Unit 14 had water ingress damage that was unsatisfactory. The bathroom layout was poor with a pedestal basin unable to be used for face washing due to a glass shelf immediately above it. The mirror was not above the basin meaning any shaving was unsatisfactory dropping water on the floor. The water damage to the door frames was disgusting. The towel hook was so small it could barely hold a face flannel. I am happy to provide photo images if you request it from me.

Enjoyable but room for improvement.

We had an enjoyable time here and would return. However, there were a few areas that should be addressed.

- As others have indicated, the WiFi is basically unusable. I had to use my phone’s hotspot as the WiFi speed was so poor.

- One of the bathrooms in our two-bedroom apartment smelled very strongly of cigarettes. Every time we ran the water, the smell was stronger. Maybe someone put cigarette butts down the drain? This remained through our stay even though we ran the fan and had the window open.

- The main door into the room from outside is frosted glass but has a 3cm clear border all the way around. There is no blind or curtain that can be closed and nothing blocking the view to the bed or bathroom. This means that neighbours walking by could catch a glimpse of more than they bargained for. A side effect of not having a curtain or blind on this door is that at night, you can’t have a completely dark room as there are porch and carpark lights that come in the door.

- Two of the hot pools were out of order and one of them was open but only lukewarm. This meant that we had to wait for someone to vacate one of the working pools for us to use it. Side note that none of the spa pools had bubbles/jets which would have greatly enhanced the experience.

Tried to charge us twice for drinks we had. Hot water took a long time to start in the shower. “King” bed was just 2 single beds that came apart both nights and could feel the mattress edges, when we asked to fix this they simply made the bed, left the wet towels lying on the floor. Spa and gym is good but for the price I won’t stay again.

Two night stay in Wanaka

This hotel was a pretty good price for a couple of nights stay in Wanaka. Seemed a lot of bus loads of tourist groups use it so lots of comings and goings. Bed was comfortable, shower was average. Nothing much in the room apart from a couple of cups, glasses and teaspoons. (needed to go and ask for a knife). Rooms were not serviced unless asked for specifically however, fresh towels were provided when asked for. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice pool facilities.

We have stayed at this property few times over the past 15yrs. The rooms need updated the tv in bedroom didn't work unless we had a DVD which who these days has that. The tv was attached to the wall & pointing the bathroom we couldn't watch in bed easily even if it was working which wasn't ideal considering how tired we were we wanted to lay in bed with tv. The carpet edge to bathroom had nails exposed which we found by standing on them wasn't impressed. The bathroom door has not been cleaned which is disgusting with all the hands that touch it. The couch needs a good clean also you can see the filth. So this time would say unimpressed. Only one large heated pool available & the temperature has been set low so I wouldnt class it as heated it use to be so much nicer 😔 we booked for the pools and it was a let down too cold to be in

Great spacious apartment style accommodation with everything you need. We only stayed one night but it has everything needed for longer stays. Professional service on check in and check out. The communal areas are really nice, really enjoyed the pools and hot tubs, lovely to soak in as the sun went down. Had dinner at the onsite restaurant with lovely service and reasonably priced food. A good morning walk down to the Wanaka lakefront took about 30 minutes.

Not within walking distance cbd. Easy parking. Could be cleaner cob webs on walls. Old and worn looking. Heated pools not working but apparently fixed after. Noisy. Clearly a 2 story townhouse that has been converted to self contained room downstairs and 2 separate hotel type rooms upstairs. Hence rooms not soundproof to the point you can hear people going to the toilet upstairs- right above bed. 3 star property.

The room was very small, no insulation / sound proofing, I could hear the attached room occupant take a pee, wash there hands and even close or open there door😳. No AC and 6 channels on the 📺. We had a dirty towel hanging on the back of our door when we checked in. The bed was ok. We paid less for other places during our 3 weeks in NZ and got a lot more. I would not recommend this place.

There was no AC. The TV did not work well. The toilet seat was so cheap/thin it snapped in half. The shower head was VERY low (for a child?). Our room adjoined a larger complex that we could hear conversation through, and smell what they were eating. No ice. Overall, things appeared 'run down'. We were booked for two nights, but it was so bad, we checked out a day early - no refund offered because booked through Expedia. They didn't seem to even care.
Would highly NOT RECOMMEND!!!! Everything shown on website did not look close to the room we actually got. Felt ripped off. Very unhappy customer, not a good experience.

We had a good stay. Very good access to Cardrona and hot pools are very nice. Rooms lacking a few things that would make this a great accommodation. Firstly wifi is brutal, kept dropping out if we could even login. I needed to do work and couldn’t. There was no free view TV, sky TV and no movies, if wifi would’ve have been decent we could have streamed from Netflix but no way this would work. I would’ve paid for decent wifi but not an option. Kitchen facilities are decent and beds comfortable. Also an issue with water pressure and hot water runs out if someone else in complex happens to take a shower at the same time. The gym is great and pool area very nice. I would consider staying again but at this stage definitely more of a 3 star vs 4 star as advertised

My stay was excellent. I would happily stay again. The room was clean and fresh and the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. There was no room phone in my room though. The gym was reduced due to Covid restrictions but I was still able to have a good work out and the pools were great.
