This was one of our FAVORITE stays during our four week trip! The staff is AMAZING. We interacted with Petr the most—he was phenomenal. He makes all the desserts & I can’t rave enough about the cheesecake & tiramisu. The hot tub & pool & sauna were all great! Definitely should have made time to utilize the gym. Because the dining area is so comfy, we opted to have all our breakfasts & dinners at the hotel and could not be more grateful. Thank you for making our mother-daughter trip so memorable! Also must mention, we watched the lunar eclipse from our balcony and it was something we will cherish for the rest of our lives! Thank you!!

Very spacious room to spread out and definitely large enough for a small family. Comfortable bed, however I thought they had flat pillows in my opinion which is a preference. Nice to have a large fridge and bathrub.

Difficulty with parking onsite during the evenings but street parking was fine.

Ski gear beware....

Hotel was fine. However the warming rooms for ski gear are not monitored and the hotel is not responsible for gear drying there. As it happened, my ski boots were taken by another guest of the hotel, which cost me one day skiing, and the cost of replacing my stolen boots, so my recommendation would be to not use the gear room at all. The hotel should at the very least install a CCTV camera to monitor these rooms, because there are thousands of dollars worth of gear in there. Not very happy, and it left a sour taste to the end of my ski holiday.

The property was good, just a little out of town for our liking (had to drive to get food, etc). Plenty to do in the area, about 1km walk (one way) from the Wanaka tree.

Property is slightly dated inside but clean and well maintained. Great pool area for kids including a slide.

Everything you need, with a restaurant, pool and more. The rooms are modern with everything you need to make some basic meals. There isn’t a kitchen sink, but there is a handy pop up portable basin to wash dishes in so you don’t have to use the bathroom sink.

What a gem! We loved the heated pool & hot tub & slide. We used them each night in winter! We could walk to the Wanaka tree & the lakes edge. Town was a little bit farther, so we took the car, but it is walkable if it was a little warmer. Our family appreciates 2 bedrooms and the kitchen was well equipped. We spent a day skiing at Cardrona and the drive was easy. I highly recommend this property!

Friendly staff welcoming on arrival and departure, but not trained in the multi tasks they were expected to do e.g. reception staff also doing bar work, unable to mix drinks.

The property is good with excellent facilities, but there is a lack of attention to detail e.g. build up of dust in rooms which will eventually lead to poor cleanliness, tables and seating in communal areas with food crumbs unattended to over 2 days, external pathways and staircases left unswept with buildup of leaves and garden debris.

Pathetic and poor, stay away

This hotel is a poor excuse for one. There was no room-service in the six nights that we stayed. They are only interested in you joining a \"Club Wyndham\" membership. The dishwasher didn't work. The front desk staff even asked us to bring back the plates from room service. This place is not worth the money. I can never stay here again. It's probably why it's not linked with Ramada any more.

This stay is part of a longer trip exploring New Zealand. Even though it was a little way out of the town centre (a 20 minute walk) it was ideal for us. The area was stunning, and so relaxing, we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you for a smashing stay.

Upon arrival there were no parking spots available. So I parked directly in front to check in. We were told that parking is hard to find this time of year, but wasn't given any options for alternatives. I ended up parking in a spot between a storage container and bicycles. My wife and I then entered the room to only find out there was no air-conditioning. It was extremely hot with only a ceiling fan for air movement. I called the front desk to ask why the room did not have air-conditioning when on Expedia it clearly stated all rooms come with it. The lady informed me that only family sized rooms come with it and by next year all the rooms will have air-conditioning. What an absolute disappointment this was. The lady said they offer portable air conditioner fans but currently there were none and that we should check back the next day to see if anyone dropped one off. We also noticed that the top sheet of the bed was dirty with sand/dirt. Exhausted from the long drive of the day we took the sheet off and just laid on the mattress with the loud ceiling fan that sounded like it was playing pingpong on high. We thought if we opened the window it would cool down the room, but couldn't do that without having a ton of insects come inside.The next day came and not a single person had returned one, which I'm not surprised being how hot the rooms get. Also we did not receive turn down service for new towels or new sheets. I'd never recommend staying here and we will never be back.

The thing to call out is this is a Time Share property. That means rooms don't get serviced, the restaurant exists to provide the free breakfast for the \"time share sell\" appointment. The pool is less than 1/4 the size of photos, and you would only use it if you are happy for children to spend all day bombing you while their parents look on. And all this for the price you would pay for a 5 star option.
Lesson learned - These places are for the people who have purchased a timeshare and are desperate to get a booking - thus the standard only needs to be \"available\".
Will never stay at a Wyndham again.

The suites are very well appointed and very comfortable. The kitchen was well set up and washroom was beautiful.

On one of the nights we were there, there was a planned power outage. This was not communicated to the guests and their back-up generator was not utilized which left us unable to sleep without power to our C-Pap from 1am-5am

Loved our stay in Wanaka. The Wyndham was a great location, easy walk to the lake with option to check out bikes to use as well. Our room was spacious, clean, and renovated. The whole property was lovely and renovated. Hot tub and free laundry were great additions after our 10 mile Roy’s Peak hike. Would definitely recommend to others and we will be back!

Units are very large and are newly and very well renovated. Beds are super comfy and kitchen is well equipped. laundry is free and easy to use. Parking can get a little hectic but there’s street parking if it’s really busy. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Overall we liked this property and would consider staying again. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a mile walk to the shopping area that is relatively flat and an easy walk along the lake. We were able to rent/hire bikes at a very reasonably cost from the front desk. The area around the property is beautiful. The Wyndham resort is small but has everything you need to be comfortable. My only suggestion is smoking should only be allowed in areas away from other guest rooms and common areas.

Wyndham sadly have adopted the very virtuous 'environmental ' PC nonsense as an excuse for zero housekeeping,clean towels or even replenishing teabags.
I go on holiday to have a break from the drudgery of washing cleaning etc. so having to ask for dry towels ( 2 towels and a near useless heated towel rail ) daily makes a mockery of making your wet towel last all week as being a pleasant stay. I could have done that in a cheap backpackers or a camper van but I chose not to do that to get a rest from everyday chores. Very disappointing and nonsensical especially as the shower flooded every day and we had to use all the towels to mop up and by the time we left after 5 days there was a big pile of wet soggy towels. Lazy excuses in the name of being green pointless.

everything was great apart from the bath in the bathroom could of done with a wipe out. because i was travelling for work it would of been nice if i had had a more quieter room as i was on a ground floor so could hear the people above me walking around and going up and down the stairs and the people with their children in the room next to me so wasn't the most relaxing evening after a massive day of driving and business.

The Ramada By Wyndham in Wanaka was an ok place to stay, however I would suggest not booking a studio. The location of the room was downstairs and right by the car park with paper thin walls. Blinds in the bathroom would probably help with the bathroom being located right by the car park with the windows as part of the shower. If I were to stay again I’d probably book a larger room even if only for 2 people.

A little further out from the hustle and bustle of the town Centre, it is still within walking distance. Quiet, clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are a little dated, with bath tub/shower combo... so if you need a soak then this is for you. Lighting is dim requiring all lights to be turned on for a decent exposure. Well equipped for eating in as they have a limited restaurant menu. Parking onsite on first come basis, but there is plenty of street parking right in front too.
