The hotel is clean overall and easily accessible to public transportation and walking distance to popular areas. However, the vanity hot water tab didn’t work properly, you have turn it half way to get hot water, if you turn it all the way up, you will only get cold water. Also the hot water facility in the lobby is useless, I asked the front desk who suggested you have to wait for a couple minutes, 5 mins down the track all I got was room temperature water. If you don’t mind all above, it’s not a bad hotel.

I loved this hotel. The staff were so friendly and courteous, they speak excellent english. The rooms were comfy and clean and the view from my room was amazing, we could see a shrine and the kannon from our window.

The gym is perfect with a variety of free weight dumbells and smith machines. My only criticism is the laundry, there should be more machines - it was hard to secure one while at the hotel. If you stay at the hotel when others would be gone (during the day) it is easy though.

I would like to thank the staff for being so nice. It was a breath of fresh air after staying in Shinjuku that reminded me why I love this country.

Good location well situated next to a lot of good transport links. Hotel very clean and comfortable. Bed very comfortable.

Rooms very small, cleaners didn’t clean the room each day just made the bed, food and drinks in the hotel bar quite expensive.
Ok hotel probably wouldn’t rush back.

The hotel is great! We had to switch hotels because the other one we were staying at had a very musty smell and the AC wasn’t working properly. This was a last minute change and ae couldn’t be happier. The rooms are small but very effective. Very comfortable and practical. The staff is the nicest and the breakfast options were also great. The location is perfect and walkable to lots of main places like the nishiki market and Gion. Very happy with the stay!

This is the best Hilton Property I have ever stayed in. The front desk and food people were beyond excellent. The chef made a unique special GF pasta dish for me. At breakfast, all the dishes show allergen ingredients, so it was easy to find GF. The rooms are large compared to other Japan hotels we stayed in. The staff were helpful in finding my lost passport I left in a taxi and helped us with a money transfer-actually went with us to a bank. I cannot say enough about the service we received!

Room layout is really good, making stay with two kids very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast is a great value. Fitness center was very well equipped and not over crowded. Nice location-within walking distance to Gion. Rooms are spacious enough and the staff was helpful. Laundry facility in the basement was convenient-but the dryer needed to be re-filled with coins three times before clothes could be removed. This was a problem with all the machines since other guests using the facility complained of the same problem.

We have enjoyed our stay in Kyoto mainly due to the choice we made to stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean, well kept and modern in all sense. Starbucks, restaurants, metro station, shops and the must visit Nishiki Market are all within walking distance. The restaurants in the hotel, the lobby and sitting area are all very comfortable and amazingly clean. The employees we came in contact with were all pleasant and courteous.

I had a great stay at this hotel in Kyoto! The room was spacious, with plenty of luggage space, a nice sitting area, and lots of plugs and USB-C ports. The rain shower was excellent, and the Japanese toilet was impressive. Everything was very clean, and the staff were friendly and professional.

The breakfast, while decent, was the same every day and could use more variety. There’s only one restaurant on-site, but the food was good.

Overall, a comfortable and well-equipped hotel—I’d definitely recommend it!

Great hotel, clean rooms and helpful staff but breakfast was somewhat lacking. Went at different times each day and there was always some food that had run out. Quality of the food was very variable and western options were either stale or non-existent. Japanese/Chinese options were also not always of a high quality. Much of the hot food was overcooked.

Stayed on two days after tour ended. I thought it was easier to stay in same hotel. I wish they had a bathtub in room, as other hotels I stayed in Japan.

Breakfast was adequate, although at times had to wait for space and warned 7-8:30 would be busy. Cold, runny scrambled eggs and other egg option not appealing.

Pleasant 20 min walk to the train station and shopping all around the area.

Conveniently located between Gojo and Shijo (Karasuma line) and Karasuma Stations (Hankyu line), as well as not too far from Kyoto Station, this hotel was excellent. The staff was very warm and welcoming. The rooms were comfortable with excellent amenities. Very much appreciated the laundry services. Also the bar/restaurant staff was great and very friendly. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the shops at Shijo-dori, but I appreciated being away from the hustle and bustle.

Great hotel in Kyoto. Staff was very helpful. Large (for Japan) thoughtfully designed rooms. Blissfully cool during 95° heat. Close to bus stop, subway, and train station. Very clean and new. Kyoto was very crowded and busy and hot but this hotel made all the difference and was an oasis of calm. Five stars!

The hotel itself was beautiful and easy yet inexpensive to taxi to Kyoto station, though there is also public transport nearby. The staff and facilities were beautiful and the 12pm check out was a nice bonus as most places have a 10-11 AM check out policy. Overall will be staying again. Also one of the few places that allows 4 people in a room in Kyoto.
