I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel! The convenient location is close to restaurants and the pyramids. The staff was friendly and helpful. Although I needed an iron, they didn’t have one, but they offered a great cleaning service. The breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were clean and had amazing views.

The room was spotless and with an amazing view to the pyramids, so did the restaurant. Staff most of them friendly but some in the restaurant had a little attitude for no reason. Breakfast wasn’t good at all but dinner was ok. The driver Mohammed was awesome, very friendly always with a smile and great energy made Me feel safe at all times.Tour guy was really nice too, his knowledge is incredible.

The room was on the 5th floor. This is great in that you're high up so better views. It's not so good because it's right under the terrace/dining area. Every time staff/customers moved chairs or tables, you heard everything in your room.

We loved the lady who makes pitta bread fresh on the terrace. The food choices where good.

Front of the house/reception, Mr Reda Abd was excellent. Friendly and helpful.

We booked the Panoramic view Suite but they gave us a different room (3rd floor) where you can only see a partial of a pyramid and the rest was the street. So I ran downstairs and told them the issue. They gave us another (5th floor) and even though you can only see 2 pyramids, we settled because it was a LOT better than the first one. The hotel was ok. The porter who brought us to our room on our checked in asked for more tip. The ONLY really amazing with this hotel was the rooftop where the restaurant was and where they serve the breakfast.

Later at night, we found out from our neighbor (next room) that they had the same experience checking in. They gave them a different room rather than the Panoramic view that they booked. So for this reason, I CANNOT RECOMMEND this hotel because they tried to deceive the guests. What I can recommend is to stay on another hotel and have breakfast or dinner on the rooftop of this hotel. But if you still decide to stay here, make sure to complain if you did not get the exact room that you booked.

The hotel was nice overall. The customer service was excellent and they were extremely accommodating. We stayed in the biggest suite. You can tell they’ve made upgrades. It would be ideal if they would update drapery. It is older and has some stains on it. Also note, this hotel has a wonderful view of the pyramids and is in close proximity. With that in mind you will hear a lot of noise in the street from locals and big groups.

Upon arrival, I decided to upgrade my room for a better view of the pyramids. The cost difference wasn't that much but the room was FABULOUS! I highly recommend booking room 506! Staff were very responsive, kind, helpful and I enjoyed speaking with every one I met. The breakfast buffet was quite lovely, enhanced by the view of the pyramids from the terrace.

In my 40 years of travel for business, conferences and pleasure this was the single worst check-in and stay I’ve experienced.

My friend and I checked in from a late flight and were greeted by what I can only describe as the most chauvinistic, uncaring person I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. He refused to check us in citing local laws and customs unbeknown to me and totally nowhere on the webpage or Facebook.

My friend was taken aback because I had tried to surprise her with a nice trip so she didn’t know anything until we arrived.

I was so furious with this individual at how they treat American and Egyptians here that I literally collapsed and had to compose myself before actually paying for another room for her so we could get some sleep after our 20 hour travel from America. They threatened the police on us.

I will advise everyone possible, stay away from this place/this area at all costs!! I will never return here, when I am in Egypt I will go to the ritz and pay before I risk my health and trip. This hotel single handedly ruined a long planned trip to the pyramids for me.

It is not safe, it is average clean, there are no irons, the food is subpar. But worst than anything is the way reception treated us. If we have any further repercussions from this place I will hire a international lawyer and demand a high recompense.

Terrible Experience

I really hope my absolutely terrible experience will help others open their eyes before they book a trip or stay with this hotel.
It is a long story, but let me briefly put it this way, and in the words of one of the guides I used (through the hotel), \"In Egypt, you are NOT a tourist; you are an ATM.\" He couldn't have been more correct. Here are a few of the terrible experience I had at this hotel:
- Photos they put on the Internet are misleading. I booked a room that was supposed to open on the pyramids. It opened on the slams. I was told I had to go to the roof to see the pyramids.
- I hired two guides (through the hotel): one was rude and unprofessional; he would leave my and my kid behind and just wander on his own. The second one left us after two hours claiming that was everything you could see in Alexandria. I had to pay the chauffeur (hired through the hotel too) to take us to a few extra places (on top of what I had already paid them).
There were more problems, but I am running out of characters allowed, but lets just say when I complained to the owner he just told me \"go drink from the sea\" in the nicest way possible.
I would NOT stay at this hotel even if it was the last one on North Africa. I hope you think twice before you do, too.

They will take your money and send you to the street! You are nothing more than an \"ATM\" to them!

From the moment I booked via Expedia, service was flawless. Gamal, the hotel manager, contacted me immediately and stayed in touch throughout, helping us plan every detail from Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo. He made us feel safe and cared for before we even met him.

The hotel is quaint and cosy, and the view of the Pyramids is unreal! You couldn’t get closer unless you stood on them.

Clean room, comfy bed, good shower, solid breakfast, great coffee. Everything we needed.

Gamal organised all our excursions exactly how we wanted, with total transparency, no hidden costs. He also arranged a surprise birthday cake for me during our Nile cruise, which was incredibly thoughtful.

A huge thank you to Mohammad, our driver, who picked us up at the airport and stayed with us throughout. He was warm, funny, and gave us local insights that made every drive feel like time spent with a friend.

And Sherif, our guide, was amazing, so knowledgeable, honest, and helpful. He kept us from falling into tourist traps and took incredible photos of us throughout the trip. Every day felt like we were exploring with a friend, not just a guide.

If you’re going to Cairo, book with Gamal and his team. I was anxious about scams, but they made us feel completely safe and welcome. Genuinely the best choice in Cairo.

Great view, not the best area - not their fault.

Views from the hotels rooftop restaurant are of all 3 of Giza’s pyramids and sphinx and it’s the highest hotel so you get a clear view of everything. It truly is magical and you’ll have a great view for all your meals.

However the area outside the hotel is such a tourist trap and there are kids running around trying to guilt trip you into buying junk so please be wary of the amazing pictures of the view you’re seeing, as the area immediately outside the hotel (street level) isn’t pleasant at all.

Rooms were okay but the shower wasn’t the best. Staff are really nice though everyone was really welcoming and helpful.

Be nice and tip people between 10-100 Egyptian pounds (this applies throughout Egypt)

We had the suite with pyramids view and that was amazing. You would wake up looking right at the pyramids and literally as close as you can get. The lower pyramid entrance is just 100 meters, we just walked. The roof top terrace also has stunning views, we spend half of our days just drinking tea and looking at the sunset and the pyramids. The hotel is very clean and our suite, which consisted of one very large room, was quite comfortable. The surrounding area is as one has to expect in Gizeh, chaotic but safe, at least during the day but we anyway just walked to the entrance of the pyramids.

This place has a great location for the pyramids (3 min walk to fron entrance) . The place is clean not a luxury hotel but you will sleep comfortable. There is at times a lot of noise due to location which can wake you up if your're a late sleeper. The restaurant view on the 6th floor is absolutely beautiful. My Salmon dish was delicious and not expensive.

What I liked about the property was we had the best room with panoramic pyramid view. Room was decent for the price. One very negative part was a bathroom had strong odour of sewer smell, that wafted into room if door wasn’t shut. I’d be very hesitant to book anything extra through this hotel as they are a huge money grab. We booked a Nile river cruise with Omar and it was not as he described. We were placed on a different boat than originally stated. It stated tickets to attractions were included which they weren’t. Also Omar became very unhelpful once he started to raise the price after our agreement and after we paid deposit. I had to argue with him and then cut him out and deal direct with lobby/hotel. Communications were horrible and we were given limited itinerary, day by day random guides messaged us stating our program for the next day. I feel they smoke annd mirrored us on the tours we booked thru them, we had better luck booking excursions outside of the hotel saving hundreds USD. Also the area around the hotel wasn’t desirable to be in other then the close proximity to pyramids and sphinx. I would not recommend or ever return due to this experience. All staff other than Omar were great to deal with I’ll give them that, breakfast was ok and service there was great.

It’s a nice little hotel. Inside was clean, amazing view of the pyramids, even from our bedroom balcony. I would recommend for 1-2 nights maximum. The area of Giza was very dirty with lots of garbage. Great place to stay if you want to check out the pyramids and the new museum.

They are the best, make you feel like you are part of a family. I took one of their tours, that included car, guide in Spanish, and a perfect organized everyday, including my tours on Luxor and Alexandria they arrange everything, even the transportation from Giza to Alexandria and back, the driver and the guide are very kind and make you feel safe. I was with my family of 7 people and the car were big enough to make everyone comfortable. The hotel rooms are big with balcony and a beautiful view to the pyramids. The restaurant is excellent with many local food and also comfort food, it also has a excellent view to the pyramids.

It was such a pleasant surprise when I found the big pyramids in the morning from my window, after arriving there late at night before.
Too bad this area is dirty, noisy and looks unsafe to walk around.

The Mamlouk Pyramids Hotel over delivered in terms of location and view. The balcony room and restaurant had a gorgeous sunrise view of the pyramids and we were literally around the corner from Giza Plateau. The staff did not complain at all for having to wait up until 4 am to check us in.

Nice hotel. Fantastic view from restaurant terrace. The housekeeping needs to be much quieter early morning until about 9.30M as it is very noisy and the corridors are stone. Good staff on desk and in restaurant. Panoramic rooms should be marketed as partial pyramid view as you have to stand in a corner to see it. So a misrepresentation in my opinion. Giza does not have much to do except the pyramid and sphinx in one ticket. I would stay here again.

Expeditions thru hotel are way over priced, they should be able to explain these services more clearly as far as prices and what is paid for with these services. Most services do not cover entry. Guide and driver firmly request tips as like you didnt just pay for the services. I would recommend booking all expeditions on expedia before travel.

I don't think I could say enough good things about this hotel. When I first arrived I had a problem with my credit card getting declined. Omar took the time to help me call the credit card company and get the problem resolved. All the different staff at the front desk were super nice and made me feel welcome. The hotel is located just a couple of blocks from the Sphinx entrance and there was an atm not too far away and easy to find. I was able to purchase a sim card from the front desk which came in very handy when communicating with the various day tours that I took. Omar was great at offering the different tours and I went on one to Saqqara which was fantastic.
The cafe was located on the sixth floor with a stunning view of the pyramids and the sphinx. Again, the serving staff was very nice as were the cleaning ladies.The room was modern and kept very clean. I was always supplied with plenty of water.
If I ever went back to Cairo/Giza I would stay at this hotel for sure. I highly recommend it!

We loved the view from the rooftop restaurant. The food was delicious. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars was because I paid for our ride back to the airport on the day we arrived, informed the front desk on the day before we left, as I was told to do, what time we needed to leave, and the ride was never ordered. We were late leaving which made us have to run through the airport instead of having plenty of time. Everything else was top notch. We would stay here again.

Regarding the location and considering you’re in Cairo, I believe that’s the best you can get with reasonable price. The breakfast is okay. Wifi is very bad indeed how you can see in many reviews. But overall and for 3 days, the stay was good enough. The hotel restaurant is terrible and I’d not recommend. We had dinner just once and ordered pizza, surprisingly we got overpriced frozen pizza. For next days, we got some treats from the convenience store and could still eat it and enjoy the view from the rooftop.

The property is beautifully laid out and the view of the Pyramids from the rooftop restaurant is spectacular. The Hotel is extremely well maintained and very very clean. Staff members are attentive to your needs and any concerns are immediately addressed. I wanted a room on the same floor as the rest of my family and the front desk made it happen immediately with no problem. The hotel is near to the Pyramids and the Sphinx but I strongly suggest booking a tour with a recommended guide. A few short blocks away from the hotel, the nightlife did get a little noisy on the weekend with the party goers cutting up. I felt safe in my room and in the entire hotel. I have to admit, the locks on the room doors were impressive. Speaking of rooms, my suite was perfect. My son had a perfect view of the pyramids from his balcony. My sister and I had rooms that faced the main street. Just a reminder, if you are used to bathing with a washcloth you'll have to bring one with you. Lastly, if you're a tourist, be cautious when you are outside the hotel. People are people and will try to scam you and they are not above using kids to that end. The view of the Pyramids from my room was outstanding. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast in the morning was great. I had a wonderful seafood dinner as well while watching the pyramids light show. The only issue was the wifi in my room wasn't that great. Instill would stay here again.

The views here are amazing! We stayed in the upgraded suite and had gorgeous panoramic views. I will say to people traveling to Egypt: Please be realistic about your expectations about what hotels offer: Wi-Fi sometimes it goes in and out and that’s nothing to really be upset about, please understand you’re in Egypt and not America for instance. This staff is so friendly and accommodates you. Everyone is so nice. There’s breakfast in the morning and you have great dinner options if you want to stay local. Also, the views are to die for. This is in a good location to see the great pyramids. I would say, however, be mindful of walking out on the streets. Please remember that a lot of people hustle in Egypt so a lot of people will approach you to try to buy things so just be mindful of that. You may find that annoying as , maybe you’re not used to that depending on where you’re from. Also, It’s not far from Cairo and it’s about 50 minutes from New Cairo. I recommend that people check out those two cities as well. .

Hotel staffs were very nice and helpful. When I arrived it seemed a bed was unclean so I asked them to exchange a sheet and everything and they did it immediately without any hesitation. I liked that part a lot. And needless to say pyramid view was just stunning!!!

Omg this hotel is amazing. It was my first time to egypt as a solo female and i was very safe and i was looked after. Yes the vendors on the streets will always try and haggle you or sell you something but thats expected anywhere in the world but everyone is very respectful. The hotel staff from reception to restaurant staff and the manager go above and beyond to make you feel very comfortable. I chose the panoramic view room and the view on my balcony waking up to the pyramids was to die for. The view from the restaurant when eating feels like youre in paradise. Its very clean and the chef catered to my needs as a vegetarian. Im definitely booking here again on my next trip in September. Thank you to everyone at mamlouk i love your hotel and all of your staff. Masha'Allah

We asked for connecting rooms from the get go and all along they were stringing us along. We got there and was told they don’t even have a connecting rooms in the whole hotel and separated us from the children, didn’t have the decency to put our rooms next to each other out balcony’s were next to each other but the rooms where separated by 2 different doors. The room next door to us was finally sold to other guest the day before we left and had been empty all along. The bed was a joke, the bedsheet had “rash” on it not even the cheapest hotel quality worthy, breakfast could be better. The staff were very nice and helpful, the view is superb and they had the best rate for activities. Overall if you are going alone and the bedsheet situation/ bed mattress quality is not a problem then by all means go for it.

All good BUT if you book a tour of Cairo in the hotel, be careful if the tour guy is “Abu”. He will look like a nice polite man. Until he will ask you to give him cash for tickets that you can pay by card. He was supposed to take us to a mosque where you pay an entrance fee, but instead he took us to a different, irrelevant one , with no entree fee but claiming the money anyway. And robbed us also during lunch. Just DO NOT GO WITH ABU. It s a shame as he ruins the image of the hotel where the rest of the staff is nice.

The location of this hotel was perfect, it had an incredible view of the Pyramids and Sphinx, you could even see the light show from the balcony.

Mohammed on the front desk was incredibly pleasent and helpful at all time.

Omar, who organises the tours, was absolutely amazing. Making contact before we got there to help us pick trips and arrange transfers. Once he got to know us a little bit, he recommended things he knew we would be interested. Maintained great contact throughout, and was a pleasure to deal with.

Sara, our Tour Guide, and Mohammed, the driver, absolutely made our trip. Mohammed was a please to be around and incredibly attentive. Sara was perfect. Incredibly knowledgeable, and tailored the tour to what we were interested in. She took us around the non-touristy areas, along with the big tourist attractions.

Cannot rate this place highly enough, I would reccomend to anyone and everyone.

There is no better staff in all of Egypt, from the reception to, to your trip planner Omar, to the Driver Mahmod and let’s not forget the Movie-star Guide Paolo (Aka Ahmed but only his mama calls him that). All kidding aside this team represents the ultimate experience when coming to Egypt, very supportive of needs and facilitates every request. Lastly, the hotel has the best venue to watch sunsets on the Great Pyramids of Giza. Don’t think, do this hotel and staff as you will not be disappointed
