This hotel is not what is pictured. We came into town to a hotel that needs to be torn down. Unfortunately, because we thought the pictures online looked nice but could not get a refund for the reservation as they would not refund due to it being check-in day. We did not even walk into the room, as the property was less than desirable. It is a shame and a waste of hard earned money.

Had an awesome stay! The room was clean and the bed was nice and comfy. You could tell the sheets were softer than average hotel sheets. The pool was clean and they had towels by the pool. Loved the contactless check in, made it quick and easy especially since we got there late.

This is a redone Days Inn. You can't ignore that, but they've dive a good job with it. I stayed in the 1 bedroom suite. The room was very clean, recently renovated. There was no carpet. There was no room servicing, but I like it that way. The suite was very spacious.
This is a good value for someone looking for value. Check-in was via text, with a code sent for your room, which worked fine.
I could not stay here with my wife for various reasons - some noise from above tenants, light coming through the not-blackout shades (and lights on outside all night), the inability to control the bedroom A/C (the other unit was fine, but the bedroom one seemed unresponsive).
If you're looking for value and don't need fancy, it's a good place to stay. Convenient location, easy parking and access, very responsive staff via text and email. Everything you need for a good basic stay.

Enjoyed contactless everything, my room location near lobby, and pool. Suzanne mgr always excellent and Angie helpful.

Lobby coffee station nice and ease of replenish towels, etc. Would enjoy addition of bottled water.

Safe area for me, car, and bike. Will definitely return. Thank you for having me.

Issues from the beginning. New management wouldn’t honor the reservation. Had to spend over an hour, and thanks to Expedia, at least we didn’t loose money. No desk staff after 5. They want to be 100% no staff. Bathroom door wouldn’t close. Seemed super cheap - and the cost wasn’t cheap. We will never stay here again.

They have no in person check-in so you expect a code to get in the room on the day of arrival. However, in my case, and that was two weeks in a row they did not send the code because I booked the room through Expedia and apparently Expedia did not facilitate the transfer of funds so I had to make a few phone calls before I would get the code. The Internet is great and the room is clean, although the window is facing the corridor, so you have to keep it covered. The garbage container is at the bottom of the stairs, which is an extremely bad idea because during the summer you're gonna have a stench. And the staff does not empty the garbage in the room during your stay. So, it is an OK , affordable hotel with great location for families on a tight budget whatever tight may mean these days.

I loved the floorplan of the suite. I bring a hotplate to make our meals. This is a perfect room for a beach trip ir extended stay.

Wonderful property! While they are in the middle of renovations, it did not at all interfere with our stay. The room we had was actually way better than some of the high priced locations in the area. Check in was smooth and staff were super helpful. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again if we ever come back!!

Overall the hotel was nice, clean and spacious. Our toilet did not flush and the hotel did not seemed staffed to accommodate any guests requests. They dropped a plunger off at our door and walked away. It was a good thing we were only there for one night.

Choosing this for price mainly, we thought it was a decent spot. Close to everything and set back a bit from the highway. Lobby not staffed overnight but innkeeper accessible. Undergoing renovation with courteous workers and minimal noise. No breakfast. Comfortable, clean room. No frills but a good choice.

When I rented the room through Expedia I was told there was staff at the front desk between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and check in time was 4:00 p.m. On my way to Hilton Head I got a text from 210 area code saying that I had to do an online check-in because nobody was working at the front desk. I received a another text saying to do an online check-in looking for my credit card information too. I was told not to give my credit card information out to third parties. When I arrived at the hotel there was nobody in the office or no staff to be found. I sent texts back to the hotel asking for my room number and entry code and was told I wouldn't receive it until I gave my credit card information out. At this point I felt like I was being held hostage just to check in by giving my credit card to an attachment to a text. It's been my worst experience yet on renting rooms regularly on Expedia. The hotel was also rated as good with an 8 out of 10 rating I would give the hotel no more than a four or five out of 10 as a rating. Very disappointed with my stay there and wanting to make sure there's no miscellaneous charges on my credit card!.

Literally Sucked... wouldn't stay again... the No Staff is one thing but renting the parking lot to 7 plus Tour Busses 4 of which parked outside our door ... a light outside our room lit up the rom like a football stadium... Tour Busses opening cargo doors and starting diesel engines... it was clean ... beds are real hard with little cushion... hot water .. that's it

Exterior of the property and the grounds are in bad shape. Room was pretty nice, new floors, paint. Bed is comfortable. Television did not work and although we did finally find someone on our way out I do not like the contact-less check in. We didn't get there until after 5, I had misplaced my phone and we sent a message from my wifes phone earlier in the day with our names, confirmation number etc. but no answer. I brought my laptop in and finally was able to access my email with check in info in the lobby. No one answered at the number posted at the desk. Keeping someone at the desk for a few hours at night is not a huge expense.

Right next to Adventure Golf which was wonderful to just get to walk over to play! The hotel manager was absolutely wonderful and quick to come help when we couldnt figure out how to log in to our TV

The staff was amazing it is no contact so we only saw one lady who was incredibly helpful! The bathroom door didn’t shut or lock in our room and the bathtub was clogged so the water wouldn’t drain very fast. They had towels and 2 little soap bars in the room but that’s it. Honestly though would stay here again the room isn’t that spacious but wasn’t terrible either!

We were there for one night. The room was very clean. Although the hotel uses contactless check in, our check in and code came about an hour early. They also provide information about the area restaurants and things to do.
Our schedule did not afford us pool time, but pool looked very inviting.

The rooms have been redone since last we were here and they look great. We loved not having to carry a key card around, the new coded locks were a plus. We really enjoyed our quick pit stop on our way to Miami and look forward to coming back on our way back home next week.

It's a great location and price is reasonable. The property is currently being renovated under new ownership after years of neglect apparently. It's quiet (on a Thursday night) and comfortable with a little harbor within walking distance with shops, restaurants, etc. I'd do it again.

I had a great stay at Hotel Carolina. The room was recently renovated, very clean, and extremely comfortable. You can tell a lot of care has gone into updating the property.

The mid-island location is excellent—very convenient for getting around Hilton Head and close to everything you need.

I did have to ask the front desk for a few extra towels, and they were incredibly helpful and quick to assist. Overall, the service was great.

The contactless check-in and check-out process was also super easy and convenient, which made the whole stay very smooth.

Overall, the room was nice, the location was great, and it felt like an excellent value for the price. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room had nice new floors and new furniture. The bed was very comfortable. The Roku TV worked well. The bathroom and sink area were clean and very nice. I was pleased that the shower had plenty of hot water. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Carolina! I will stay there again the next time I visit Hilton head.
