Lodge E was great for our family of three. Great kitchen for meals in, short walk to Moana Divers (highly recommended), short walk to Half Moon Bay and West End Bay. Great restaurants all around and local choices as well. Gail and the entire staff made it a place that felt like home. We will definitely stay again.

Cocolobo is a gem! It’s close to the strip/beach, but is tucked away in a quiet location. The view is breathtaking and the staff are so kind and welcoming. I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Roatan!

Top 3 places I have ever stayed at! Incredible

I have stayed hundreds of places all around the world and this place is definitely top 3. To start Cheryl ( guest services manager) reached out to me directly to help me get a ride from the airport. She was kind enough to reach out via WhatsApp since I had my emails on DND while I travel. The property its self was gorgeous. It’s like you’re sleeping in the jungle. We stayed in the Flowers lodge which was a first floor ocean view. It gave us a breathe taking view of the ocean from our bed. The room its self was very cute. Comfy bed. AC felt wonderful after about 10/15 min. It had a little balcony that you can sit out side of your room and lay in a hammock. You can watch boats drive by and the sunset was perfect. There were also cute little deer, hummingbirds, and this like cute little capybaras like things walking around. In the common area the pool was nicely angled to give you a view of the ocean which you can use 24/7. They had board games that was a nice touch. And they had sodas and beer for purchase. Breakfast was also very yummy. 10/10

We had such a wonderful stay at Cocolobo! The staff from the moment we arrived giving us a detailed tour of both the property and our rooms to helping us with transportation when it was time to leave. We felt taken care of so well.

The morning breakfast was fresh and felt as though you had a private chef. This is one of those places you can truly unwind. Night breezes by the pool with amazing sunsets.

For us, the location was perfect because we like quiet at night but a short stroll into town. Hilariously there are bunnies and deer that roam near the hotel, I guess they used to be someone’s pet. It’s very cute!

Not enough good things can be said about the friendly and accommodating staff. They begin making sure your stay is smooth even before you get there (make sure transportation and arrival times work for you). The property is lush with two residents bunnies and two resident cats. Views are waterfront and excellent from most rooms. The prepared breakfasts are delicious. Cheryl’s knows who/how to book pretty much any activity on the island, even same day, and for a good price. The food options are much better on west end (compared to west bay) and only a 5-10 min walk. Do note, there is no beach. The waterfront edge of the property is actually lava rock. You cannot beat the value, especially with the customer service of a 5 star hotel. Me and my friends will be back!

Cheryl is the property manager and she goes above and beyond for her guest. The resort was super clean and they everything we needed. TP, Soap, Bodywash, shampoo and conditioner along with a stackable washer and dryer with the detergent. Lots of extra towels and bedsheets. Would for sure stay again in the future. Thanks Cheryl. This place was just fantastic! Cheryl was phenomenal before, during and after our trip. She provided all necessary information before we got there, including setting up transportation from the airport and helping us get through customs. All of the staff were fantastic. And the property itself is right on the ocean and has the most stunning views of the ocean and sunset. The property is within walking distance of several restaurants, bars, shops and other conveniences. The property provided access to various refreshments at a nominal fee. In addition, Cheryl provided insights on the island and various travel destinations and even helped us book various excursions. I seriously cannot say enough about how amazing they were. In addition, we had some issues with our flights and despite the 2-day minimum, Cheryl provided accommodations when we ended up stuck in Honduras.

Nice people, loved the pool for sunset, accommodation was larger and more beautiful than you can see on the site. The only downside was that although the downstairs bedrooms were air conditioned the upstairs kitchen living room common area was not. Despite all efforts to ventilate we were dripping in shorts early April all afternoon and evening. Electricity on the island is expensive, so I get it, but it was quite uncomfortable to hang out together.

Cocolobo was quite a surprise to us after being in West Bay for a week. It was quiet, perfect for relaxing and resting. The staff was top notch, friendly, personable and always available. The walk into town was a concern of mine at first but family who stayed at an adjacent resort last year assured us it would be fine and not too long a walk. IT WAS and a lovely walk, scenic with many friendly people walking along the road as well as us. Security was very visible along the way too.
Liked the keyless entry, the safe in the room, all the amenities were simple and just what we needed. Fresh towels every couple of days was a surprise. Gathering at the pool for breakfast every morning gave us a chance to visit with other guests and hear about the previous day's adventures. A great experience and highly recommend Cocolobo to others.

I spent a week there in February 2024 in the Potitilly Suite and have nothing but great things to say. The property was fantastic and the staff was extremely accommodating. It's a 10 min walk to the heart of West End which is perfect as it's very peaceful yet close enough to town to easily walk. If I return to Roatan I have no reason to stay anywhere else.

I enjoyed my stay at Cocolobo - the hosts are great, room is clean and comfortable, and water views from the whole property. Noise does travel a bit - I noticed that I heard my neighbors during my stay. I could have just had loud talkers next to me. I especially enjoyed the friendly deer that passed through almost daily while I was there. The breakfast was great, too. Yogurt, fruit, juice, and coffee is provided daily with a more hearty option that changes each day. Something to be aware of is just the distance from the center of West End. It is about a 10 minute walk. The path is mostly well lit at night but there are some areas that aren't as much. Overall, I really enjoyed staying at Cocolobo and would do so again!

The location is beautiful. It’s like you’re in a jungle and it’s right on the water. The staff is wonderful. They helped us get transportation to the airport and to Punta Gorda to see Garifuna dancing. The breakfasts were delicious. This was a really good place, very quiet and tranquil, good value. Cheryl was great at getting everything taken care of. Breakfast was basic but good with yogurt, granola, and some kind of small cooked main dish. If you are looking for a big fancy resort, this is not for you. Air conditioner works great, room stylish but not fancy. Easy walking distance to restaurants and beach. This place was very comfortable, convenient, and safe. It was not on the beach but all the rooms had big balconies and ocean views. (There were also houses with screened porches and no ocean view).

The property is kept in great condition including the native fauna all over the property which attracts all sorts of fun wildlife. The rooms a large and very comfortable. The place is a short walk to the main drag of west end where we would get dinner and drinks every night after a day out. Eveyone who works there is super friendly and helpful. WOW - what a perfect place for a first time visitor to Roatan!

The Property - just slightly off the main drag which was a huge plus - I got some steps in (maybe 7 min walk to hit the West End) but was just far enough that I felt like I wasn't caught up in the hustle and bustle of the very busy West End.

The Room - perfect. Gorgeous view of the ocean, flora and fauna abound. Comfy bed, small kitchenette, hot shower and cold AC. My sleep score went up and I got some of the most relaxing Z's I've ever had.

The People - can't say enough about Cheryl and the staff. Always available to help with questions and suggestions. Great breakfast. Fun Trivia Night (even if I didn't win lol). Just a warm and welcoming team.

If you read this far and are looking for a place as I described it then stop scrolling and trolling and just book it!

The staff at Cocolobo is incredibly responsive. Even before I got there Cheryl would respond to every inquiry promptly. When I stepped on the property I was welcomed immediately. This has an incredibly chill atmosphere, the showers don’t run out of hot water, and island deer walk around the grounds! I’ll definitely stay there again the next time I visit Roatan. Also, the road between Cocolobo and West End is well lit. I always felt safe walking between the ground and town.

We really enjoyed our stay! Cheryl was great at making sure we had what we needed and also setup transportation to and from the airport. It is a walk into town (not a long walk); which helped the area to be quiet but was inconvenient at times when needing to come back to the room in the middle of the day. The wifi was down for a few days due to work on the lines but we were able to get wifi at the main pool area.

Great location in the West End. Cheryl welcomed us one hour before the official checkin, which we truly appreciate. She was very helpful answering our questions. The walk to Half Moon Bay Beach is short (5-7 min). We stayed at lodge E with a garden view and full kitchens. It was excellent. If I could suggest anything, it would be for the owners to make beach gear, i.e. an umbrella, chairs , beach cooler available for the renters. We stayed at places that offered carts with beach gears before and it is great to have it available. Anyways. It was not difficult to get a chair at the beach for a fee and find shade. It was a wonderful stay. I would recommend it.

The property was in a quiet area walkable to town. Rooms were clean, sunsets were beautiful. Management needs some improvement. Reception was poor. Breakfasts were not great. Our arranged taxi did not pick us up at the airport and we were put into a unit we did not book which needed some maintenance. We were later moved to the unit we had booked but we had to request it.

Very nice quiet, secluded location with lovely views of the ocean. Cocolobo is within an easy 5minute walk to the town and the beaches (no beach access at Cocolobo). Lesly, Jeff & Katie made us feel very welcome and gave us info on how to get to some of the places we wanted to visit. Jeff & Katie made the arrangements for our covid tests which were done on-site. Katie's banana bread is the best we have ever had!! For nature enthusiasts there are 3-4 deer roaming the property, lots of hummingbirds, butterflies, gecko's and a family of agouti's.
