Clean, beautiful rooms. Awesome location. Extremely helpful staff. Even though the front desk is not staffed in person around the clock, you can quickly reach someone to help with any questions. The buffet breakfast was very good with great variety.
We loved our stay here!

Beautiful thoughtful renovation of a very old building. For design and architecture fans. From the linens to the woodwork every detail done with finesse. Sweetest staff and fresh breakfast buffet on a comfortable little terrace among the rooftops.. Hotel is in a pedestrian part of the old town, in a quiet alley off a narrow street that comes alive at night with outdoor dining. Quiet but very central. Loved this place.

I had an excellent stay at Hotel Malmo in Chania. The staff provided truly outstanding service — warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The hotel itself is comfortable and well-kept, but it’s the exceptional team that made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommended!

Malmo Historic Hotel is located in old town Chania. We had a quick check in upon arrival, and our room was very clean, spacious with high ceiling, and large jacuzzi tub. There was an elevator that brought up to the receptionist in the 3rd floor where our room was in the same level where we have our breakfast. We enjoyed having Greek cuisine everyday that came with fredo cappuccino. It’s near and walkable to places we wanted to visit. The Old Venetian Port is a few minutes walk, passing by waze-like alleys which we enjoyed strolling through well-kept old buildings , nice and friendly owners. It was fun and safe being at the hotel. We left early and were given a delicious breakfast to fill us up before leaving on our early flight. We will surely stay here again! Thank you!

This property is a lovely vibe in an excellent location. They held our luggage for us and let us check in early. Helpful about transportation options. Room very modern appointed but a classic decor. Balcony was great! We had three people in a suite and had plenty of room. Enjoyed popping in and out between shopping and swimming. Shower was deluxe. Elevator functioning and very helpful.

Great spot in old town! It was fun to experience the town go from day to night from our little balcony overlooking the street. Plenty of space to relax in the room, it was clean and modern and the bathroom was one of the larger ones we’ve seen in Europe. The staff were super nice! Their breakfast was extensive and delicious! Definitely recommend staying here.

We had a fantastic stay at Malmo. The hosts were very accommodating, breakfast was good and we had a very easy check in and out experience. The Bed was very comfortable and curtains kept the room dark, and had direct access to old town Chania. We would definitely recommend staying here.

My stay at the Malmo was perfect! From them organizing a taxi pick up at the airport to the ease of check-in, breakfast buffet, and the room itself, I couldn’t recommend more! The pictures of the room online looked exactly as it did in person. There were so many dining options near the hotel and a quick walk to the harbor, one of the local beaches, and many different activities. Whenever I come back to Chanai, I will be staying here!

Cannot recommend this hotel enough. We were looked after superbly (thank you again for the gluten free breakfast items), our room was lovely, with modern high tech features and everyone was so friendly.
It’s location is close to lots of restaurants, a ten minute walk to the Venetian harbour.
Would definitely stay again when revisiting Chania.

Excellent, clean, and spacious rooms, friendly and communicative staff. Simple but delicious breakfast. Physically in the old city and within minutes of the harbor and easy walking distance to many excellent restaurants. Only problem is parking. You’ll have to park either on a street, finding a parking spot, or in the municipal lot which has a hard limit of 4 hours per day. Manageable if you plan to be on the road most of the day but an inconvenience none the less. Also, these parking areas are at least 500m from the hotel which means you will be dragging or carrying your luggage along cobbled streets to get to the hotel and back when you check out. This said, we really enjoyed the stay and would happily recommend it and stay again.

We visited Chania in late March. This hotel was fantastically located in the Old Town with beautiful rooms and superb bathrooms. The hostess, Virginia, was amazingly friendly, wonderful and helpful. Will definitely stay here again! Our only regret is that our stay was too short.

Our room was a bit small, I guess it was the standard one, and the mattress is quite soft, for those who have back problems.
But the breakfast, the decor, the building and the centralness of the hotel and the staff were great.

Fantastic 2 week stay. Wonderful staff, great breakfast. Very accommodating and even switched us to a larger room for a week. Just steps away is a street with the best restaurants in Chania. We ate at all of them, a few multiple times. We travel A LOT. It’s nice to come upon a place this nice. Small cozy boutique hotel. It doesn’t happen often that we find gems like this.

Malmo Historic Hotel has great location. It’s in the center of the historic part of the city. The staff and maid service were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The room was spacious, bed and pillows comfortable, bathroom was large with a great shower and bathroom amenities were really good. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I had the pleasure of experiencing a memorable stay at the Malmo Historic Hotel, in July 2024.

This boutique hotel is luxurious, offering the old charm of the island, while providing modern day comforts.
Conveniently located and within walking distance to several dining establishments, local shops, tourist attractions and the beach, this hotel was an excellent choice!

Upon arrival, I was greeted with a \"sweet\" welcome. The front desk concierge was friendly, and offered complimentary baklava bites. After a long day of travel, the treat was very thoughtful and very much appreciated. Her hospitality didn't stop there. She provided a map of the island and offered helpful tidbits to ensure I had the best experience during my stay.

My generously sized room had a classic-modern style, offering beautiful finishes right from its entrance and all the way into the bathroom -- which was almost as big as the bedroom! Using local products in their toiletries was also appreciated. The room was fully equipped, providing a comfortable and relaxing experience. They thought of everything, even providing beach gear (beach bag and towels).

The hotel's private balcony offered a peaceful atmosphere to enjoy their daily, complimentary breakfast. Local treats were amongst familiar choices, offering something for everyone.

Kudos to the creators of the hotel, as well as their staff. Wishing you all the best and continued success! I look forward to my return :)

This property was amazing. They helped me coordinate a pickup from the airport, and was so nice at check in. It felt like a personalized stay! The rooms and hotel were beautiful and so modern. I would highly recommend this hotel and would absolutely stay here again.

We stayed in the kastello Room and everything was perfect! The room was beautifully decorated with a big bathroom! The breakfast was so delicious and the staff was lovely. Would recommend and stay here again when I visit Chania again!
