The owners live on property and are friendly, helpful, and great at solving any question we had. Very fresh and tasty breakfast! Our room was large and had a huge balcony, which made it easy so spread out and also hang wetsuits and bathing suits to dry. Highly recommend!

Most amazing place to stay in San Cristobal

This family owned hotel was simply perfect in every way. They went above and beyond to make sure I had an enjoyable experience. The breakfast was delicious. When I had an issue with a tour to Kicker Rock that I previously booked, Jose was able to get me on another boat at the last minute, which I really appreciated because it was a phenomenal experience. The rooms are very clean and the bed was comfortable. I really enjoyed chilling in the hammock on my balcony at sunset.

Small, family-run, boutique style hotel - just 6 rooms! You are greeted personally and the staff goes out of their way to assist with any request you have. Rooms are spotless and the room decks are wonderful for sunset views from your hammock :) Walkable to town and right on Playa Mann, this was an excellent place to stay. I highly recommend!

There are not enough stars to properly rate Casa Playa Mann! The location is great, the grounds are wonderful, we loved the breakfasts, but the standouts are truly the staff. It's a family-owned business and I cannot say enough about them. They were so helpful with recommendations and arrangements. Every single person we spoke with was amazing; they truly went above and beyond. I would never consider staying anywhere else on the island!

I do not recommend this hostel. We asked for a different room right away because the only one small window it had was pointing into reception and breakfast area “garden view “and they said no. The morning after we arrived loud noises waked us up in the morning, right in front of our window we saw 30 people having some sort of conference, talking loud and applauding. The air conditioner was right above the bed blowing in your face, it was very old and loud as a helicopter and had a bright light. The shower drain was barely working. I had dirty water up to my ankles. You are not allowed to flush any toilet paper and are required to put used toilet paper in the garbage. There was mold in the closet and it smelled. The “safe” a $15 unit from Walmart. Small black bugs appeared all over my clothes. Our room smelled horrible. Can’t open windows because the screen had big holes in it and bugs would destroy us. We asked for no cleaning and Jose argued with me and said it is mandatory and they need to inspect the room every day for bugs! One day we asked to only change our towels, but when we came we noticed the room smelled like toxic bug spray. I got sick and nauseous right away. The conditions were totally unbearable and unsafe. We left 5 days early. The hotel refused to answer our request to refund us for the rest of the days we did not use. Expedia was unable to refund us the $600 . The laundry service I used there destroyed my $140 Tommy Bahama shirt. Two thumbs down!

Casa Playa Mann is the best family owned boutique hotel I have ever experienced and I have stayed at many around the world.
The brother and sister who own and manage it treated me like family throughout my 4 night stay with them. Jose even went to a pharmacy for some medicine when I was feeling unwell.

The casa is immaculately clean and the rooms very comfortable.

We thoroughly enjoyed friendly and comfortable environment of the hotel which is cosily located in a quite place yet close to the lively promenade and minutes from the beach. The rooms were very clean, the breakfast lovely and there’s also a pretty courtyard with hammocks and loungers in the shade of the trees. We’ve never encountered more friendly and caring service. José and his wife and staff went above and beyond to help us with everything. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend!

The location is perfect! I was attending a conference at the USFQ GAIS campus, which was a mere one block from Casa Playa Mann. It made it easy to run back to the room between conference sessions.

Besides being one block from USFQ GAIS, the hotel is also one block from the gorgeous Playa Mann. We could walk into town in 5-10 minutes.

We stayed in room #4. The bed was very comfortable. It felt like a memory foam mattress. There were also memory foam pillows. Ductless AC in the room. A huge oceanfront balcony with the best view of the ocean, and the comings and goings on the road below. The balcony had two hammocks, a hammock chair, two rattan chairs, and a rattan couch. Hammock time was such a luxury!!! The breeze, the view . . . It was paradise.

Step in shower, that was quite big, with an oversized showerhead.

Beyond the prime location, the comforable room, and the balcony view . . . The proprieters and staff of Casa Playa Mann can not be beat! When you stay here, your money stays local! Jose speaks excellent English, and is super friendly, and willing to help with just about anything a traveller might need. Make sure to add breakfast to your stay. They're delicious, filling, and healthy. Each day, we had fresh fruit, eggs with veggies, bread, coffee, and fresh juice. You could get bacon, if you wanted it.

Casa Playa Mann is a slice of heaven on this earth. In my opinion, you get great value, foe the price. I cant wait to come back.

The best hotel on the island!

Can’t imagine there’s a better place to stay on the island. Family owned, so they treat you like family. We stayed on the 3rd floor and had an amazing sunset view every night. Room was very comfortable, cold AC and hot showers. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff was available at any moment to help answer any questions. Will definitely stay again when we go back.

We spent 5 days in San Cristabol stayed in the ocean view suite at Casa Playa Mann and it was absolutely the best! The staff was so kind and helpful Lou and Marteen took such good care of us and our conversations were a huge blessing to us. They told us everything we needed to know to find the best day trips and even arranged a last minute snorkeling boat tour for us! If we ever go to San Cristabol again, we simply would not stay anywhere else. The location was perfect walking distance to several beaches and to the malecon in town. The breakfast was so good and Lou always made sure I had gluten free options of yummy baked goods. She was such a sweet lady. Pure Joy! Lord willing our paths will cross again. The room had everything we needed all the small details make a huge difference when traveling in Ecuador you don't always expect little extras like coffee in the room or shelves in the shower but it is nice when it happens makes you feel pampered.The fridge on patio to come back to cold drinks was also a huge bonus for us, the view from the patio was spectacular.Thank you for hosting us!

Can't say enough good things about our stay at Casa Playa Mann. It's a family-run hotel and you can tell they care about everyone's experience while staying with them. Jose reached out before we arrived and helped us get some activities booked since we were having trouble contacting the companies directly, which took a lot of stress off of our trip. He helped coordinate anything we needed during our stay.

As for the property itself -- it was very comfy. It's walkable to the Malecon/main area of town and a few different beaches. The room was the biggest we had during our stay in the Galapagos, which was nice because it let us spread out a little bit for the first time in awhile. Having a place to refill water bottles was super convenient (and they also leave water pitchers in the room every day). The showers had hot water (although it was HOT when we visited, so I opted for cold showers). The only negative is that the wifi isn't very good, but that was true of everywhere we visited in the Galapagos, so it wasn't something I was expecting.

The breakfast was great and they can cater to dietary needs (vegan for us) as long as you let them know beforehand.

Overall, I'd highly suggest staying here if you get the chance. We had a great experience.

I can’t recommend Casa Playa Mann enough. Though it is off the main part of town (a ten minute walk) it is actually closer to many beautiful hiking areas and all the beaches. It is also quieter. Jose and his sister Lucia made us feel at home and we’re incredibly accommodating. They helped us with restaurant recommendations, things to do and just made us feel very welcome. The room was great with A/C and a comfortable bed. Couldn’t recommend it more

Our stay was fabulous! Yummy pineapple bread with tea when we arrived and such a friendly, helpful host. Our room was spacious and had several places to store our luggage and clothes. It was all exceptionally clean and bright. The common area outside the room was lovely and perfect for relaxing with a book. The breakfast was served on a colorful table cloth. The meal was outstanding! Fresh fruit from the island, yummy yogurt, granola, just a perfect dipping amount of chocolate, 2 types of bread and a scrumptious cheese, bacon, and veggie omelette. The host’s sister prepared and served the best breakfast we had on all 3 islands we visited. The location of casa Mann is great - easy to walk to town and just 2 minutes from a fabulous beach. We would definitely choose to come back here again and again!

He provided us with personalized assistance from pickup at the airport, checking in, meals, directions around town, recommendations for hiking, and even let us borrow his own snorkeling equipment. He provides a delicious breakfast and is a great conversationalist. Did I mention there is a sea lion colony across the street!!! So cool!

Great location! On a quiet street, close walk into town and short walk to a beautiful beach with sea lions. Our reservation included breakfast in the morning; omelets, fresh fruit, juice, yogurt, coffee, rolls and tea. We spent 3 magical nights at Casa Playa Mann.
José and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was nothing less than excellent. Before our arrival José sent out important information regarding new legislation updates. When we got there everyone was super friendly and helpful and always had a smile on their faces. They also were more than happy to share a lot of tips on things to see and do in and around the area.
Breakfast was excellent and they even catered a variety of options for a gluten allergy which was not expected.
If we ever have the chance to visit San Christóbal again we will definitely be staying at Casa Playa Mann.

Lucia, Jose and Lucia are absolutely wonderful hosts and made our trip to the Galapagos superb. From picking us up at the airport, to giving us tips around town, their hospitably made us feel like one of the locals. Our stay at this family owned and run bed and breakfast was just perfect! Jose and Lucia were very helpful and accommodating during our stay and made us feel comfortable and at home. The rooms were very clean, the food was delicious, and anytime we had a question the hosts were friendly and responsive. The location is right next to Playa Mann, offers a quiet environment, and is easily walkable to the main downtown area. We loved our time here and would highly recommend staying with this lovely family!

This hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the city, and it is a block away from the beach, which is nice. The staff are friendly and nice. The original room I was given had no working A/C, so I was suffering for quite a few hours, until they ended up upgrading me to a nice cool room with an ever better view :) I would definitely stay here again.

I can stress enough how great and helpful Isabel and crew were during our stay. Always very attentive, nice, and helpful with recommendations, setting up our Highlands tour, or anything else we needed. They even packed up a bag of snacks & drinks for us to take on our Highlands tour. That kind of thoughtfulness and extra care is unheard of. I'd definitely recommend paying for the ocean view rooms as they also come with your own private patio. Fantastic stay and couldn't say \"thank you\" enough upon our departure.

We LOVE Casa Playa Mann. The owners are so kind and helpful it felt like we were staying with relatives. The location is excellent: walking distance from the center of town and far away enough to be nicely quiet. Playa Mann itself is where the sea lions rest, a lovely little beach with really good food. The room was clean, quiet, lovely. it had a nice balcony with a hammock, seating, a fridge and a coffee maker. I can't wait to go back.

Casa Playa Mann is a very nice place, a 10 minutes walk to San Cristobal downtown. It is also close to the Mann beach (and others in proximity), the San Cristobal Interpretations Center (very worthwhile a visit!), and the hills (with great overlooks) behind.
I had a nice, comfortable room with good wifi connectivity.
Loved the hammocks in the yard!
Was very pleased by the warm welcome of the manager who was always available for advice and recommendations. Very much enjoyed a half-day excursion into the island's hinterland she recommended for me!!!
Having said this, breakfast could have included a tidbit more of variety.

Quiet location with a friendly staff...clean, beautiful views, and helpful managers (Isabel and Manuel). The hot water was a little inconsistent in my shower, but my son’s room never had any issues with getting hot water. I believe it was just an issue in the morning when many people tried to take their showers because I always had a nice hot shower in the evenings, after our tours. Lovely place!
