Breakfast was standard for most hotels in this class. Although, on the second morning the hot articles were only lukewarm. We changed room directly after checking in as our room wasn’t clean (stains from drinks on the bedside tables, bins still full).
Bedding in our second room had holes (both sides) and stains (one side). Generally clean and comfortable, but maybe more light in the building in general would help all staff to make a better job. Make sure you have a torch with you if you want the read the menu in the restaurant after dark.

It was a 5 day business stay from abroad. It is hard to get around without a taxi or bike. Uber is available but the wait time varies from 15-25 minutes. I had dinner at their restaurant twice. The dinner was great but the service is below average. I found the place to be a bit expensive. The rooms and views were great. I asked for electric kettle to drink hot water but they did not provide and suggested to use Nespresso Coffee Machine which is a bummer.

Generally the stay was good. The restaurant was very good but after four days the menu was restrictive so if my stay had been longer we may well have eaten elsewhere. Room lighting poor especially for ladies and their makeup. Rooms were basic, but usually I'm a four star plus stayer.
Carpeting needs a very good clean!!

Really nice clean fresh hotel. Beds were very comfy. Great view across the lake from the restaurant especially at night with the trees lit up, quite relaxing. Breakfast included, which again was of a good quality.

Sleepless at Maashof

We arrived in good time, a group of four, two rooms. My room was Room 1 which should not be rented out. It is an internal bedroom with an unfinished bathroom, and no outside ventilation. The room is situated at the bottom of the stairs leading up to the front entrance, open reception, bar and dining areas, and underneath the office and reception. It was hot, noisy and with no ventilation except into the hallway and no fan extraction in the bathroom, made it impossible to sleep. The dining room closes at 10 pm and last checkin time is 10 pm. However at 1 am when I went upstairs to see why there was so much noise, the staff where still working with no thought to the noise they made, the phone was ringing in the office right above our heads and the bar had guests in it, with some late night arrivals still not checked in. Staff didn't seem to be aware of the issues with this room but after our complaint they moved us the next day to another room. This room 1 should not be rented, or at the very least have air conditioning installed. The bathroom needs completing and doors need to be installed at the top or bottom of the open stair way which finished right outside the room. The hotel is nice but I understand none of the rooms are well ventilated and the light weight construction means they are all noisy. I would not stay here again.

Hotel was nice and staff friendly. I'm sure most of the rooms are lovely but unfortunately room number 1 has no external window and is tucked away just under reception meaning it was noisy late at night, stuffy and too hot (we couldn't control the temperature). To be fair to the hotel we got in late and didn't realise till we were in bed and were too tired to complain but I don't think a hotel of this quality should rent out rooms without external windows .

Great hotel, what an amazing little jewel in the middle of who knows where.

doing some business in duesseldorf and searching for hotels, this one came up in our search and even tho its a few clicks from where we were working and actually in Holland and nor germany it was definitely worth it.

room was big and clean. The whole place is spotless, staff was nice and helpful, including the 2 owners who seem to be there all the time attending to guest which I thought was great.

food at the restaurant was really good and and nicely priced, highly recommend this place.

We thought the visit was brilliant, fantastic service, wonderful food (very filling) and an array of beers to sample. There are couple of small lakes – if you are into fishing then this hotel is ideal for you (I did not fish) – also bikes for hire, we took a bike ride into Venlo which well worth a visit. The staff were fantastic. A must go

This is a very pleasant, modern and clean hotel. The reception and bar area are well decorated and open out onto the patio area overlooking the lake. We arrived late from the airport (22:00) and were told the bar was closing, but did manage a couple of drinks on the patio! The rooms are large and very clean, with a walk-in shower in the ensuite. The only complaint I would have was the fact that 2 single beds were pushed together to make a 'double', but they were quite comfortbale. Breakfast buffet was adequate, but could do with some cooked options.

Die Betten sind mit einem dicken Topper ausgestattet, was es wirklich sehr bequem macht. Kopfkissen waren auch in Ordnung. Nur die Bettdecke sehr dick, was im Sommer doch etwas zu warm ist. Die Speisekarte ist wirklich sehr übersichtlich und sehr teuer. Burger mit Pommes 22 Euro. Daher sind wir am 2. Abend auswärts essen gegangen. Eigentlich schade, da es sehr schön zum sitzen und verweilen ist.

Das Hotel war sehr schön und das Personal sehr freundliche. Das essen war auch super und das Gelände um das Hotel sehr schön angelegt. Kleiner Minuspunkt war die Parksituation da die Parkplätze häufig komplett belegt waren und das Hotel liegt etwas auserhalb ohne Auto kommt man nicht weit das sollte man wissen.

Deluxe Zimmer im UG bekommen! Keine ausreichende Beleuchtung, Gang und Zimmer sehr dunkel! Kein Blick auf den See… Deluxe Zimmer???
Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig! Saßen am gleichen Tisch zum Frühstück wie abends zum Abendessen! Geputzt wurde im Speiseraum definitiv nicht!!
Keinerlei Ablagen im Bad für Kulturbeutel!
Kinderstuhl mußten wir immer selbst holen…
Am Samstagmorgen gab es über Stunden kein warmes Wasser…
Es wurde keine Entschädigung hierfür angeboten!
Schade!!
Werden auf jeden Fall wieder nach Venlo kommen, jedoch definitiv nicht in den Maashof!

De omgeving en het terrein van het hotel zijn erg mooi.

Het hotel zelf was tijdens ons bezoek in verbouwing, dus nog niet alles was afgewerkt.
De kamer zag er netjes verzorgd uit.

Er was geen trekker voor de douche. Dit zou wel handig zijn,
Het licht in de badkamer gaat aan met een bewegingssensor. Al ging deze redelijk snel uit bij te weinig beweging. Hierdoor regelmatig in het donker moeten toiletteren.

Got downgraded and still paid the same price because of our dog. Even when the dog fee was added we still paid more. No information about this when booking. First time ever I experience being downgraded. We ordered a suite because we travelled with kids. Ended up sitting in a small room in the dark the whole night.

The room had silverfish insects. The shower pulsed between cold and hot water. The «sound insolating» where not good. You could hear doors slam and people talk in the hall all night (with normal voices).

The restaurant had good food, but they charged for extras we didn’t ask for (or eat..). They couldn’t do any adjustments for our 1.5 year old. Again ended up paying for things we didn’t get. Plus we almost didn’t get a table because we had no booking (there where a lot of available tables). There’s no where else to eat nearby. It would have been a big issue with small kids.

On the plus size, the area around the hotel is very nice and calm.

Wir waren für ein Wochenende in diesem schönen Hotel und hatten das Deluxe Zimmer gehabt. Es ist sauber und geräumig. Das Brot sowie die Croissants werden in dem Hotel selbst gebacken. Es schmeckt schön saftig und frisch. Man kommt beim frühstücken mit dem Ausblick zum Teich schön herunter. Wir sind mit dem Fahrrad circa eine halbe Stunde nach Venlo gefahren. Es ist auch eine süße kleine Stadt mit tollen schönen kleinen lokalen. Roermond ist eine halbe Stunde mit dem Auto entfernt und ist auch eine super Idee Als Ausflugsziel gerade bei schlechtem Wetter. Die Stadt Roermond ist auch absolut sehenswert. Im großen Ganzen sind wir sehr glücklich das Hotel ausgewählt zu haben da die Lage und der Komfort sowie der Preis alles in allem stimmte. Der Service ist auch sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Leider war die gebuchte Suit bei Ankunft nicht so sauber wie erwartet . Toilette schmutzig , Haare auf dem Bettlaken , Flecken auf dem Boden .

Nach Reklamation wurde dies durch das freundliche Personal direkt gereinigt .

Das Frühstücksbüffet ist meines Erachtens verbesserungsfähig. Wenig Auswahl , Salat und Gurke vermutlich vom Vortag .

Das Ambiente ist sehr schön, Frühstück auf der Terrasse am See einfach klasse .

Van het restaurant hadden we meer verwacht. De patat was slap en de groente doorgekookt. Zou je voor die prijzen niet verwachten.

Alles in allem schönes Hotel

Haben auf der Durchreise übernachtet. Comfort Room gebucht. Hotel sehr schön, modern und geradlinig. Hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Sehr freundlicher Empfang, Parkplatz direkt am Haus, gutes Frühstück.
Hatten 3 Betten im Zimmer, ein zusätzlicher Sessel wäre schöner gewesen.
Man sollte ja ehrlich sein bei Bewertungen daher möchte ich noch einen Zwischenfall erwähnen:
Leider war auf einer Bettseite das Laken nicht gewechselt…unappetitliche Spuren…ein absolutes No Go. Der nette Herr am Nachtempfang kam sofort nach Anruf mit einem neuen Laken und zeigte selbst sichtliches Unverständnis. Er machte Fotos und entschuldigte sich bei uns.
Wir schieben das jetzt mal auf Corona, evtl fehlt ja auch Personal in Zeiten wie diesen.
Wäre schade das Hotel auf diesen Zwischenfall zu beschränken, da es doch alles in allem gepflegt war.

Deze accommodatie had een mail gestuurd, een paar dagen voor vertrek met surprise upgrade. Deze heb ik geboekt, de surprise upgrade voor ons was een kamerupgrade. Superleuk om jezelf tijdens een weekend te verrassen.

Prima accommodatie met een prachtige ligging. Ontbijtbuffet is uitstekend en je kan er ook heel goed lunchen en dineren. Personeel is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
