The location and simplicity of the hotel is what we love. On the water with beach access. Watch the ferry and other boats come and go from the balcony. Close to downtown. The staff has always been friendly and helpful when we stay.

Demi at the front was friendly and accommodating. The beach view was amazing. It was right outside our sliding glass door. The rooms were clean and seemed well cared for. We were visiting family and friends in the area and this was a great location. It is very close to the ferry dock so it would be walkable if you didn’t bring your car. We plan on staying there again.
The only drawback for some would be that there is not an elevator. They could stay on the first floor of three though.

The heater did not work very well. We had to have someone from the front desk come and show us how to turn it on. The entry way and bathroom floor was very slippery and should be replaced. The room did not feel clean. The water view was poor, it looked out over the HVAC system. Needless to say i was very disappointed and would not recommend this hotel in its current condition. I will say that the person checking us in and who helped with the heater was very nice.

Probably the very worst bed I have ever slept in, and the pillows were solid rocks. The heat didn’t work very well so the room was cold and there were no extta blankets.

Staff was nice and polite. I felt a bit of a let down when I drove up. It looked kind of run down initially. I was on the 3rd floor and the view was fantastic! The room was clean and exceeded my initial thoughts on arrival. Food, gas, groceries are all close by.
Great affordable place to stay while visiting Port Townsend!

We had two rooms, both non-smoking, but one of them had definitely been smoked in. The walls were thin so we could hear water easily when neighbors flushed or washed their hands. Everything was very clean so that was nice. Fridge and microwave are always good amenities and we used them. It’s walkable to several food options and a grocery store. Check-in was super fast and easy.

The room was good. When the motel was full, it was very noisy. The refrigerator froze all our vegetables. When we turned it down, it didn't work at all. So, that was unexpected. The motel is located within walking distance to downtown, uptown, local restaurants and the grocery store. The view of the water was very welcome.

One of our two rooms wasn’t ready at check in. It was being cleaned, and then it needed aired out and an ozone cleaner used because someone had smoked marijuana inside. They left the door open to the room for 4 hours in 40 degree weather. We didn’t have access to the room in a Isabel fashion until 9pm

Rooms were ready at arrival. Helpful clerk asked leading questions so we were clear no one would be staffing the lobby when we left the next morning. Knew to just leave key card and be on our way. Offered us tea, sweeteners & creamers since they are not usually left in rooms but knew we might want before hitting the road early morning. Ice machine was behind a locked door. Made sure we knew where and that our key card would open. Offered suggestions for food & drink. Pointed out a few places on map. All \"little\" things but she made sure we had answers to questions we didn't know we had. :-)

Room was immaculate, bed so comfortable and we were given a warm welcome. Extremely quiet room too. We were on the ground floor and although there were many guests, we could not hear any noise at all during our visit. Definitely recommend this Inn for a Port Townsend., Also, it is within walking distance of the Blue Moose Cafe!

Slightly older hotel (but definitely renovated and clean). Maybe not as “sound proof” as a newly built option, but it also was nowhere near the price of other local offerings. Staff was outstanding, very friendly. Waterfront view was outstanding. Beds were comfortable. No regrets whatsoever.

Great deck seating, terrific views, good proximity to Safeway.
Sliding door wouldn't lock. Sink water flow was just above a trickle. There was a dirty dry wash cloth on the shower curtain rod, that was NOT ours. The guest above us must have been moving the furniture around both nights till at least 1a. Rude. The front office staff was unapproachable and curt. Not friendly or welcoming as that position should be.
Happy we cut our stay by a night.

Total new updates. Very clean. Beach right under window. Sat at the picnic bench and was surprised by 3 deer walking through the water! Watch the ferry, walk to a great beer pub, even off the main drag are a couple little quaint restaurants. Front desk people were extremely nice and accommodating.

We loved the view from the 3rd floor balcony.
We enjoyed the peaceful quiet water side.
Room was clean.
Comfortable bed.
Bars of soap were okay, but kinda small.
Shower hardly any pressure.
Pressure toilet was awkward type of flushing but figure it out.
TV didnt work, but wasnt planning on to much TV anyway.
Outside area walk ways and parking lot seem weathered, and dirty with a lots of trash all over parking.

Dont know how to rate, but if 1 to 10 I say 6. Mainly because the water view out the back side of hotel.
I truly believe this hotel is not reaching it potential, because whats visible as you drive by could be improved vastly by cleaning up the trash, sweeping the walkways, perhaps taking a rug doctor to the outside carpets, and lastly, a little paint goes a long way.

Our unit didn’t have A/C which may have been fine normally, but it was pretty warm in the room and the window faced a business area….with trucks. It was a little noisy in the evening with the window open. And the microwave was sort of an antique, small, dial controls (turn past 2 then set timer), and no turntable.
On the flip side, the young lady at the desk was very nice and fixed the issue with the TV in the room (no signal) and with the Wi-Fi flakey, it was needed at least just to catch the news and weather.

All you need for comfy stay.

Bed was comfy, cozy, fresh linens. Balcony room allowed us to feel the cool breeze from the water made for good sleep.
Although the screen needs repair and the blast from the early morning ferry was a surprising wake up. Might consider notifying customers its not a hotel alarm.

The bathroom had a mold issue and the wall area is crumbing from water damage. There was mold behind the toilet. The patio door (to balcony) had no lock. The front door lock was very hard to work. Microwave was small, old and didn’t work well.
It advertises daily cleaning but that didn’t happen. Had to ask for clean towels.

Do not stay here. This property made it painfully clear that they prioritize profit over people, even in the face of a federally issued tsunami advisory. I made the responsible decision to forgo check-in due to an active public safety threat affecting the very coastline where this inn is located. The Water Front Inn refused any refund or credit, hiding behind a rigid no cancellation policy with no regard for human safety, decency, or basic compassion. If you’re traveling with family or anyone you care about, know that this property will leave you stranded during an emergency and still charge you for it. Very comfortable bed and room, excellent location, loved drinking coffee on our patio overlooking the sea and watching the boats come and go from the harbor and the birds and other wildlife-we watched otters playing on our last day! Very quiet and fun little beach just steps down from our room. Short walk to two local and fun cafes. No elevator so you need to be able to carry your belongings upstairs or ask for the first floor. Older motel but nice updates in rooms. Would absolutely return to the Waterfront Inn!

Room had movies- except for an ugly metal roof Nextdoor. Room had no AC and I got little sleep. Had to keep the window open but got no cross breeze to cool it - just noise from what sounded like a generator. And the room smelled. But they did let me cancel day 2 of my stay as I couldn’t stay another day. Make darn sure you get a room with a view

Terrible dense nasty odor hits you once you open the room door! Very old 3-story building structure with NO elevator and NO AC ! The sink makes squeeze noise and the sewer bounces back from the drain ! Very poor reception service for such a price !
