Check in was efficient. The gentleman that looked after us was very friendly. We had a large room with 3 beds. The beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Bathroom lacked shelf space but we were able to add space with a wooden chair. Electric outlet on hair dryer in bathroom would not deliver enough current to power a curling iron. Room was warmer than we like for sleeping but we were able to cool it down by turning off the radiators and opening a window. Breakfast was good with enough variety for healthy meals. Location was great - easy walking distance to several Christmas markets. Overall we were very happy with our choice for our 5 night stay in Vienna.

This hotel is awesome! The staff was very welcoming and respectful! Our room was spacious and very clean. The big plus is the perfect location as it is very near the tram stop and also the U Station. It is also walking distance to the Justizpalast and the Austrian Parliament. There are also restaurant options nearby! All in all, this was the perfect place to stay in Vienna! Highly recommend!

The staff were amazing and the Hotel was great!
We had a 3 bed room. There was lots of space for the 3 of us and a couch to sit on. The Hotel is in a great location to walk to many of the things Vienna has to offer. A great vacation to see the Christmas markets :).

The room was huge, clean and comfortable. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the old lift and big windows.
You can hear the tram which passes the end of the road and if you happen to be unlucky with noisy neighbours, you can hear very easily through to the next room.
Really good location, close to main attractions and great transport links. Quieter area of the city as slightly away from the main bustle.

The location was good,just off the Ringstraß. However the fact that the hotel desk was not manned all the time was to say the least quaint in the 21st century. Plus there is a fair bit of building works going on nearby mainly to do with the Metro

This modest hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance to most sites in Vienna including Hofburg Palace, museums and Opera House. Palais Auersberg, one of the beautiful concert sites, is 5 min walk from the hotel. It is nice and clean, great value for the money!

Room was very small but clean and quiet. Tiny little elevator/lift that was quite old but super cute and functional (if a bit old smelling). Breakfast was a standard European breakfast but it was tasty and lots to choose from. Place seemed to be rather full but we rarely heard anyone in the hallways nor much noise from outside which was nice. We were there on Christmas eve and Christmas day and thankfully the city was bustling so there were things to do and places to eat. Very close to christmas markets and public transportation which was a godsend. would probably stay here again for the price and location.

Hotel Graf Stadion refused to provide a refund despite the fact that we could not travel due to the COVID crisis. Their credit offer is useless since it is likely to expire before an effective COVID vaccine is available. We had air and hotel reservations for numerous destinations that provided full refunds because of this unexpected pandemic. Hotel Graf policy does not provide good will and understanding which is deeply disappointing. I would not book there as a form of protest for their lack of empathy when everyone is suffering

The hotel is excellent value for money. The character of the building (dating from 1834) and its location close to the main sights are huge plus points. It's an easy walk to the old town - in under 20 minutes - and many other interesting places are about the same distance away. The staff are very friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfast is great with more than enough choice. I loved staying at this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to choose it in the future. It is one of the best hotels in this price range that I have ever stayed in. All in all, fantastic, and the quirky lift is another whole experience. You'll love it! Thank you for helping to make my first visit to Vienna so memorable.

Good \"no frills\" hotel just minutes from Rathaus.

We wanted to stay somewhere as close to the City Centre as possible which was reasonably priced and got good reviews.
The man on Reception was excellent. Friendly and informative.
Breakfast was ok..didn't go hungry but would have liked a bigger selection.
Room was clean but small. Fine for our 3 night stay.
Would recommend.

Great hotel, I really enjoyed my stay. The people at the reception was super nice and friendly. Our room was very clean (kudos to the housekeeper) and also to the lady in charge of the breakfast everything was super clean even the glasses not even a spot and she was on top of restocking all the time. The location is very good. Quiet, safe, walking distance to a lot of things (sight seeing, groceries, subway, bus) definetly recommended.

The room was huge with a huge entryway. Breakfast the usual excellent Austrian breakfast (rolls, meat, cheese, scrambled eggs, yogurt). Elevator was a fantastic, wood-lined relic from the 1920's! Plenty of hot water except shower hear mounted too high and sprayed all over everything when I used it. Main problem was that the hotel was located on a small, dirty alley which seemed to be used as a car park. People were coming and going, slamming doors, talking loudly all night. Would be an excellent hotel if in a different location.

I arrived at the hotel around midnight, the key to the front door and my room was exactly where the hotel said it would be. Breakfast was laid out in the dining area and the staff were constantly replenishing everything. My room was simple, clean and warm, I would definitely use this hotel again, it is a short walk from the underground Rathaus, and it is also not to far to walk to the center of Vienna.

The hotel is old!. The elevator was from 1908 and smelled old. Both elevators not reliable to get you to ground floor half the time. The hotel is so old it gave you the feel of ot being haunted. Old furnishings. However, it was the cheapest hotel nearest all the museums. It was clean and suitable for saying 2 nights. Staff was freindly. Safe area. The breakfast was very good. I would stay here again because of price. Only thing i didnt like was paying for parking which was 20 euros a day. On booking.com it said parking was free. That was a lie.

Front desk staff extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet offered a nice selection and was tasty. Hotel not well equipped to deal with very hot weather, no air conditioning and poor air circulatiom in general. Location was extremely convenient and central, with many tourist attractions and food nearby. Street outside was quite loud at all hours of the day and night despite being a back alley.

Great location, short walk from the Rathaus and excellent location for transport links. Number 2 tram stops right around the corner and several others go from the Rathaus as well as the u-Bahn.
Breakfast is unpretentious but filling. Fresh pineapple is a great touch.
The hotel itself is a little tired looking - wood chip walls and a scruffy bottom part to the divan beds. The lobby and corridor always smelled of smoke despite being no smoking areas but the rooms were clean and fresh. A bigger room is highly recommended.

I loved how old this property was. It was over 100 years old and the elevator was my favorite part. So quaint! The room was clean, but very tiny. There was no air conditioning, of course. It was a little far from the tourist area so there was quite a bit of walking, but there was a great breakfast every day to give us the energy we needed to get going. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it was so old and far, and the front desk closed early, but if you don’t mind walking and if you like character, this was a nice place to stay.

The people were very helpful and the rooms were a nice size. The breakfast was nice and constantly being refreshed. Not the biggest selection but everything offered was of good quality.
Our only issue was there was no A/C so we absolutely needed earplugs at night when the windows were open.

My stay at Hotel Graf Stadion was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was fully booked, but I felt like I was the only guest. The breakfast was beautifully presented, fresh and delightful. The location is ideal, just 1/2 block from the No. 2 tram, and just an easy walk to the Hofburg complex and the heart of the city. Quaint hotel on a quiet street close to public transportation, shopping and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful and made recommendations when asked.
The hotel reminds me of an antique style with lots of wood and the elevator has a bench seat covered in brocade. Our room was behind a double door, insulating the interior from hall noise. The room was spacious with a curtained off area for sleeping. Comfortable, clean and quiet.
The breakfast was basic European with few choices.

I stayed here for a week, while researching in Vienna. The hotel is excellent value, it is an ideal location, about ten minutes walk from the University and the Hofburg. The room is comfortable, they offer a decent breakfast, and the service is very good. The area is quiet, but there is a good cafe (Cafe Eiles) just a block away.

So unpretentious you might miss it - not even a lighted sign, and showing a bit of age - but it turns out to be a hidden jewel, to which I will gladly return. Impeccably clean if basic rooms, a great and included breakfast buffet, a centralissimo location for theaters, museums and shopping. (I walked to them all.) The hotel manager Herr Forstl and the super attentive lady in charge of the breakfast buffet stood out, but the rest of the staff were all helpful and friendly. Excellent value for money.

Convenient locatiom, close to Rathaus metro but just off the main road so is quiet even on the ground floor. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Only -ve is they provide cups and kettle in the room but no tea or coffee(a minor issue but might as well provide it) also the hallway outside seemed to have a slight musty odour, a carpet clean or a sprinkle of carpet odour remover might do the trick.
Wide spread of breakfast(hot and cold) We will surely stay here again next time. Hopefully the minor issues will have been taken care od.

This is a nice 2 star hotel (not a 3 star) with pros and cons, like all places. The pros are
- the place is very clean,
-the front desk is very friendly,
- room has a good hair dryer,
- plenty of heat in the cold weather,
- breakfast is ok. They have scrambled eggs, meat, cheeses, rolls, yogart, fruit, cake which is all nice.
- location is good, near City Hall. it's only about a 20 minute walk to St. Stephens church which seems like the center of town.
The cons are:
- the front desk and front hotel door closes and are locked at 6 pm. All guests have a key to the front door and if you arrive after 6 pm, I think there's a phone outside that you can call. However, if you have any questions about anything after 6 pm, you're out of luck since no one is at the desk. The hotel is located in a poorly lit street and there is no light illuminating the name of the hotel.
- The small double room is very small. It is extremely difficult to fit and open up 2 large suitcases in the room. The room is good if each person only carries a small carry-on pack OR a backpack. Besides 2 narrow beds, the room does have a small desk and small TV. Definitely get the larger room for 2 people.
- There is no access to a refrigerator or ice machine.
- The soap/body wash are not in individual bottles.
- There are no phones in the room if you want to call another room.
If you're aware of the cons and you get a good price, then I would recommend it.

Comfortable hotel near attractions

A comfortable hotel in an area near to main attractions and public transport. Breakfast was a buffet and was good, very attentive staff replenished food often. Some of the hotel's original features remain, including fantastic 1930's lift. Would recommend this hotel if you want a reasonably priced hotel near to attractions.

Close to metro station

Located 2 blocks away from the main tram line (Parliament house ), with metro line just around the corner. Room are spacious but can get a bit warm in the summer months and should have a fan to cool things down. Breakfast was a good spread and staff cheerful.
