The property is very old and probably need an update soon. You can see some paint missing from the wall and the water pressure in the shower is not very strong. Also, the parking lot is very small and it is a bit tricky to drive in and out. However, the staffs in this hotel did a great job keeping the property clean! Despite how old the carpet looks like, the hotel smell nicely fresh in all floors and in our room. Also, all the tables in the dinning room are actually very clean! Like spotless! The other surprise is how quiet the hotel is. Despite a very full hotel (judging from the number of the cars in the parking lot), we did not hear any noise and have a very good sleep. The breakfast is simple but functional.

The Clarion Pointe-Dillard Hotel has been the go-to hotel for my family when we visit the area. The hotel is near Black Rock Mountain State Park, at which we enjoy beautiful hikes when we visit. The town of Clayton is close by, in case you close need to do some grocery shopping or experience the conveniences of a larger town.

Rooms are always clean and beds are comfortable. Staff is friendly and accommodating whenever I had questions or needed help. Price has always been great and, compared to other options in the area, this place is by far the best bang for your buck. I wish the breakfast was a bit more inclusive but overall I cannot complain about this property! It will always be my choice when staying in this area for work.

This place is tired and in desperate need of remodeling. Even our shower curtain and blanket were torn. Paint peeling off the walls everywhere. Pool was closed. Breakfast was boiled eggs and stale muffins. However, the staff was wonderful. The shower was hot and had great pressure. The beds were comfy. It was clean and didn’t give the total ick. We practically had the entire place to ourselves. Not sure if that should’ve been a red flag or not. It served its purpose for us for the most part. The location and price were right.

Halls smelled like weed. Bathtub drained very slowly and I was standing in a few inches the whole shower. The shower curtain was dragging in the puddled water in the shower. Only 2 bath towels and 1 wash cloth provided in a 2 queen bed room. No hand soap in room- had to ask front desk. Stains on bedsheets

Unfortunately, this stay was really disappointing due to the lack of staff and basic service. We requested our room to be cleaned and asked multiple times for fresh towels, but nothing was ever done. When we went to the front desk to follow up, there was no one there at all — which was extremely frustrating.

On top of that, the hotel advertises a pool, but it wasn’t working during our stay. Overall, the poor communication and lack of service completely overshadowed what could have been an okay experience.

I’ve stayed at a lot of Clarion hotels, and I like them a lot. The specific one was not up to par. The rooms are kind of dingy. The paint was peeling on the walls. The breakfast in the morning was pretty terrible, cold, hard boiled eggs, this place could use some help.

At a place like this you have to wonder how long things have been \"out of order\". The pool wasn't working; the breakfast juice dispenser wasn't working; the charging ports in the room didn't work. We were only there for a night but that seemed to be the theme. Staff was friendly enough. The best part was the shower - it was pretty nice.

Beds were comfortable and the staff were nice. Rooms need some TLC. It looks like they started painting and didn’t finish inside the room and bathroom. Some things were painted but very poorly. They had little tree air fresheners hanging around the hotel and in the room we stayed in. I had to ask for extra towel due to only 2 in the room for 3 people. It was ok for the price. It was close to things in Dillard and the Dillard House!

The property seems renovated not too long ago. However, there are too many issues. Upon everything the room, there's that kind of staple smell. The under window havc unit emits a bad smell when heat is turned on. For some reason, the room turned really warm when the temperature is set to only 69 and the unit isn't even running. There are unpatched holes in bathroom. Drain is slow. Sink faucet water pressure is really low.

First bad sign was the mold on the air conditioning vent which I had to clean with Clorox wipes that we brought so we wouldn’t be breathing in the mold. Then there were the stains on the top bed cover, then the Christmas tree air freshener hanging on the bed railing under the sheet. Then only half the mirror had working lights and the shower room did not have a led light so it was very dim while trying to get ready and while taking a shower. Overall, we basically had to turn every light on to see because we kept the blackout shades down because we were on the bottom floor in front of the parking lot and wanted privacy from the other guests coming and going. Then to top it off, the toilet paper roll was sitting on the back of the toilet because the holder was out of the wall and sitting under the bathroom counter behind the hair dryer. We did not ask to move rooms, because they already had changed our room between the time we checked in, went to have lunch and then came back at 4 to go to our room, because of a lot of construction workers were staying there. Breakfast consisted of boiled eggs, muffins, bagels, toast and cereal and the juice machine was completely unplugged so your choices were coffee, tea or milk.

The front desk staff was very helpful navigating difficulties w/ check in. Breakfast was less than mediocre for normal hot meal breakfast. Hard boiled eggs and watered down coffee. Stale bagels. Best stay ever

My husband and I normally stay at the Dillard House, but decided to stay at the Clarion Pointe. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. I will have to say that this is the first Hotel that we have stayed at that actually gave you information about the Hotel. The rooms are very nice and clean. The Hotel itself is very nice and clean. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone. We will be back on our next trip. Thank you for a pleasant stay. This should be a 10 star Hotel.

PROS:
*Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, easy to contact, quick responding to requests
*Check-in was quick, easy access parking, close entry from parking to room, well lit parking lot
*Front desk was lenient on check out time per request (thank you!!)

CONS:
*The included stop-and-grab breakfast wasn't that fresh and the area needs to be wiped down much more frequently
*The room looked like it was in mid-cleaning stage-no sheets, blankets, pillow cases. No towels, wash cloths, or toilet paper. There was still hair in the shower and a very dirty towel hanging on the hook. The carpet needed vacuuming and there were streaks of liquid on the TV screen.
*Based on just the room I rented the place needs some minor renovations--repaint the peeling walls in the bathroom, replace the noisy funny sounding air conditioning unit (it was cold tho!), notice & replace things like the broken tissue box. And possibly rearrange the furniture so that there is room to sit at the desk without blocking the isle and touching the bed behind you!
This hotel's rate was the highest of all the similar hotels available that night on Hwy 441--honestly, it would only take a bit of repair and maintenance effort, a bit of a more aggressive cleaning policy, and some attention to extra detail to bump the current 3 star rating (3.9 exactly) way up!

Started off a little rocky - mostly disinterested front desk clerk. Room is large but has VERY little clothes storage (if you're staying longer, plan ahead). The hotel seems like it is going through renovations but it's not bad. The bed and the pillows were relatively comfortable. The water pressure in the shower is wonderful :) The staff was very accommodating after check-in - no one seemed to be AT the desk but were always available. There was a weird smell on the first floor in the mornings but it went away by late morning.Overall a good hotel for a great price in a smaller town.

The room was fine and the check in was fine, but I rented a room that would come with breakfast. If you could say that there was a breakfast, it was the worst breakfast that I have ever gotten from a hotel, including the covid shutdown. There were a couple biscuits and dry cereal. There wasn’t even any coffee. Unimaginable!!!
You owe me a $20 dollar credit to cover the breakfast that I had to purchase elsewhere.

I arrived late and there was no employee on duty. I rang the bell, no one answered. I called the hotel twice and still no answer. Finally after 20 minutes an employee came out. He said he was in the bathroom. Went to breakfast this morning, no coffee, no coffee in the room. I had to drive to get coffee. Juice maker was broken just as the coffee machine. One cereal, no danish rolls or anything sweet, no fruit.A whole lot of bread. Disappointed in the hotel.

I was very disappointed in this hotel stay. The room itself was very nice, newly remodeled. The front desk clerk did not ask to see my driver's license which should have been a red flag. We observed alot of people in and out of the parking lot, people just sitting in their cars. Inside, there was alot of loud talking in the hallways all throughout the night. There was a dog barking half the night as well. We did not feel very safe and definitely did not get any sleep due to all of the talking and moving around in the hallway and adjacent rooms.

We had a wedding in Clayton, Ga and decided on Clarion Point in Dillard, Ga. It was about a 20 min drive to our venue. The hotel was clean and inviting. Our room was very nice. Beds were comfy. Nice big TV with lots of channel options. The inside of the bathroom door and a few places on the bathroom wall needed some attention (fresh paint) but overall the room was great. We were very pleased with our stay. We would recommend this hotel to others.
