Overall it was better than some. I would stay again but would pay cash next time. I was charged a security deposit and when ask when would it be returned the lady could not give me an exact answer plus she could not or speak English well. I’m not saying that to be mean but it was hard trying to communicate.

Nicely updated room (except nasty apolstered chair) with solid surface flooring. Some items still older but in good shape. Pool is in disrepair and lighted sign at front isn't working which made the property look in disrepair but everything else was good.

We first went there a few years ago ,,when they just bought the place, they had a lot of work to do and a young family,, we haven't been there in about 3 or 4 years,,wow,(place is Old but in Great shape ,) , this Young couple is DEFINITELY investing in the property , so much has been done , KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!! NO HOT WATER AT ALL!! I checked in with some Indian lady that could not speak or read English. It took her about 5 minutes to even show up downstairs to the counter because she was upstairs in her room. She called another person on FaceTime and showed them my ID and credit card to check in! These people are no professional and I called my bank to let them know in case I had extra or fraud charges. I was not given a receipt and told to write my email address on a scratch piece of paper and she would email the receipt. Never got it. Shower was cold, never got hot. Sink water was ice cold and hot did not work. The heat/AC unit could barely warm the room because it’s in the rear by the bathroom and not in the front. Whoever renovated this motel had zero idea on what they were doing. The blanket on the bed was just a thin sheet. This place sucked and I would never ever book a room here again especially in the winter when it’s 10 degrees outside and all you want is a warm room and a warm shower.

Took a while to check in but lady pleasant. A few rules & regulations to read. Room was ok and had 2 comfortable beds. Fridge/microwave but NO coffee maker although you could get coffee I think in reception. Same for breakfast - coffee/ cereals/cakes & croissants. Only had one night stay on route so didn't get to see surrounding area although Franklin looked nice & think a fair bit to do. Would recommend though.

Everything went smooth since the booking to the stay. We liked the cleanliness of the place and the location. The only thing we could suggest is to replace the shampoo and conditioner with something easier to open, because the poly bag seal is really hard to tear it. Thank you

Very nice Inn in Franklin

Very clean and comfortable. Modern and attractive decor. Everything worked great, easy to find, easy to park. Centrally located in Franklin w/ a great new Ingles market a mile down the road with salad bar, food bar and so many grab & go items. I would stay again if in the area. Thank you!

Overall it was a nice hotel.... i mean you could tell it was aged but it was clean and looked decent... my only real complaint was the bed... it was a king room and the bed was one of the mattress on a raised frame with no box springs.... the mattress was very firm and i swear i could fewl the slates or bars that ran the frame... i will admit im a larger guy at 320 pounds... but i wasnt very comfortable on the bed... but that was my only real complaint... i will say.though... watch the shower... the water control is very sensitive... it will go from cold to cooking a lobster with a twitch... lol..

We booked Colonial Inn for a family trip to WNC in September, but had to cancel due to Hurricane Helene. We decided to rebook at Colonial to celebrate my daughter's graduation from WCU. The first plus was the affordable rates, second that they will allow pets, and third they provide a light breakfast. The rooms are clean and cozy. The area is well lit. The walking area for pets is ample. And the property is quiet. I hope to be back in the spring to take advantage of the fire pit!

Check in was ok. I will not rent this hotel again. The occupants in the next room had their TV on all night long. I didn't sleep well at all. I did not return for the second night as I had reserved. I checked out early so I was out $100 and had to fimd another hotel.
One of the worst hotels I have ever visited.
